Desperate for Attention, Beto Drops
'F-Bombs' All Over the Place to

It's hard to know what constituency Democratic presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke is targeting by dropping F-bombs all over the media landscape. Normally, I'd guess high school hipsters but they can't vote. Maybe Beto is trying to sound "working class" -- power to the effin' worker and all that. But let's face it, Beto doesn't look or sound "working class." He looks and sounds like a nerdy folk singer -- which is exactly what he was. All we know is that Beto has been using a naughty word for making love a lot these last 24 hours. Daily Beast: Former Texas representative and 2020 hopeful Beto O’Rourke railed

A potty-mouthed "man" stuck in teenage-hood due to arrested development. When some personalities reach a certain stage in life that they like, they deliberately stop growing in order to hold on to the moment. Beto (the nickname he earned from his Hispanic nanny who called him "Berto" --- short for "Roberto" in Spanish) has decided he really, really likes his cool high school sophomore years so he's staying there. Like Peter Pan --- he never wants to grow up. Thus, the cutesy childhood nickname he assigned himself for identification. Hey, "Beto" --- don't look now but your 15 minutes of fame ended on election night when Ted Cruz cleaned your clock.

On the flight line in the mid 60's, we used the 'F' bomb as an adjective when describing a problem to a technician that arrived to help with repairs on the aircraft. An 'F' problem was considered much worse than just a problem. We also had no females crew chiefs or technicians back then, just 'toxic' males. It was pretty much the same in the oil fields after leaving the service. But the word was never used at home or in mixed company, and to this day ( I'm 76 ), I cringe when I hear it used in mixed company. One of the reasons, and there are many, that I dislike my ex daughter in law is her foul mouth, and the constant use of the 'F' bomb in front of my grand-daughter. The same goes for the 'Rap' music blasting at 150 decibels from low riders with 24" wheels. I outgrew it's use, so who knows, maybe Beano O'Dork will outgrow its usage.

Here we are in the midst of a once-in-a-half-century pandemic, with the economy flattened, millions of people unemployed, and unrest on the streets of our cities. And President-elect Joe Biden says that one of his highest priorities as president will be to reenter the Paris climate accord. President Trump kept his "put America first" promise and pulled the United States out of this Obama-era treaty. Biden wants us back in. Why? Paris is an unmitigated failure. You don't have to take my word for it. National Geographic, a supporter of climate change action, recently ran the numbers and admitted in its recent headline: "Most countries aren't hitting 2030 climate goals."

Teachers unions have been instrumental in keeping American schools online during the pandemic. But some have escalated their positions on reopening to include an array of social justice demands. A set of demands from teachers unions in July, which addressed how to safely reopen schools amid a pandemic, was criticized by The Wall Street Journal editorial board as “political extortion.” The board argued that unions were taking advantage of a health crisis to advance their own ideological agendas and to eliminate competition from charter schools.

Implications of the Flynn Pardon 11 replies

President Trump granted a pardon to Michael Flynn, his former national-security adviser, today. Flynn had pled guilty to lying to FBI agents about conversations, during the 2016 transition, with the Russian ambassador about sanctions. Flynn’s pardon should bring to an end one gross violation of the Constitution’s separation of powers, even as it gives rise to groundless accusations of another. Although Flynn had pled guilty, the circumstances of the case had raised serious concerns about whether the government had proceeded properly. The FBI, for example, questioned Flynn even though it did not appear he had violated any law. In May, Attorney General William Barr ordered the case dropped.

Minnesota is one of a number of states that are living under what amounts to martial law. Our proto-fascist dictator Tim Walz, in his latest edict, purports to ban traditional Thanksgiving get-togethers: Saturday, Nov. 21 through Friday, Dec. 18, Executive Order 20-99 requires all Minnesotans to: * Limit social gatherings to one household. * Not gather outside of your household. * Postpone all celebrations, events, receptions, and parties, including any social gatherings for weddings and funerals. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.
