Former Marine said he’d ‘slaughter’
antifa. The FBI, using Oregon’s
new red flag law, took his guns away

Shane Kohfield stood outside the home of Portland’s mayor in July wearing body armor and a “Make America Great Again” baseball cap, a large knife strapped to one shoulder and a copy of his concealed weapons permit displayed on the other. Using a loudspeaker, he warned the right-wing activists who turned out to condemn the city’s handling of recent violent demonstrations that they needed to protect themselves against their anti-fascist, or antifa, rivals. “If antifa gets to the point where they start killing us, I’m going to kill them next,” Kohfield, 32, said. “I’d slaughter them and I have a detailed plan on how I would wipe out antifa.”

When did the FBI start enforcing state laws ? Do they enforce all state laws or just the ones they like ? The mobster mentality of the FBI is become more and more obvious over time.

Stating that you will defend yourself is not illegal, nor is it justification to disarm a citizen. But please note this: What the veteran did was voice his expectation that his local government would not protect him. That he, and fellow citizens might need to take up arms and defend themselves against a threat. Notice, too, that his 'aggression' was predicated on the expected actions of the threat, and his local government just proved they are colluding with his attackers. If the time comes that he must take up ar.s to defend himself and fellow citizens, how likely is it, that he will not stop at anti-fa elimination, but also eliminate those empowering the threat? They've made a BIG mistake.

Did anyone read the article? This guy showed up at the home of Portland's mayor in a MAGA hat with a large knife strapped to one shoulder and his concealed weapons permit attached to the other. With his personal loudspeaker, he claimed that he would "slaughter" Antifa and he has a detailed plan how to wipe them out should they attack first. Turns out he is bipolar and has PTSD. Is this the hill you want to fight on? My deceased father used to say, "He's the guy you really wish was on the other side."

The fact still remains that he did NOTHING illegal, or dangerous. Yes, he said he had a plan - he is a marine, they always have a plan. That is NO REASON to violate his rights. Does he have a history of unprovoked violence? And the FBI? I thought they wanted their reputation back. The FBI should be dissolved, along with the BATFE (or whatever they call themselves today). There are too many arrogant alphabet agencies.

This is a perfect example of why "red flag laws" are NOT something that we need to permit. This is the perfect cautionary tale, and we need to make sure we tell our representatives that 'red flag laws' are completely unacceptable infringement on our rights.

Trump cuts Bolton out

The Washington Post reports that John Bolton, President Trump’s national security adviser, has been excluded from discussions about an Afghanistan “peace deal” between the U.S. and the Taliban. Bolton apparently doesn’t favor such a deal. This is a president who rages against Fox News because people who appear on that network occasionally say things he doesn’t like hearing. So we shouldn’t be surprised that Trump doesn’t want to hear from Bolton on the subject of Afghanistan. Still, it’s extraordinary that Bolton has been shut out to the point that, according to the Post, he wasn’t even allowed initially to have his own copy of the draft agreement

ROCK HILL, S.C. — The crowd waiting to see former vice president Joe Biden speak at Clinton College, a historically black, Christian school just outside Charlotte, N.C., is not the crowd you might expect to find on a college campus. In other words, it's exactly the sort of crowd you'd expect to see at a Joe Biden campaign event. According to the latest Quinnipiac poll, only 10 percent of Democratic voters below the age of 34 are backing Biden, putting him in a distant third behind Bernie Sanders's 31 percent and Elizabeth Warren's 25 percent. The former vice president has maintained his frontrunner status thanks

For those of you who weren’t yet born on September 11, 2001, on that day Islamic jihadis killed nearly 3,000 Americans in attacks on the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. A fourth plane was set to murder even more people by crashing into another landmark in Washington, but it was downed in Pennsylvania by its passengers in order to thwart the jihadis’ plans. Even those who don’t remember the day have probably learned about it in school, but few people are aware of the fact that the surviving plotters have not yet been brought to trial. That is now set to change on January 11, 2021, the day

A 19-year-old asylum-seeker was arrested in Villeurbanne, a suburb of Lyon, France, on Saturday after he allegedly killed a 19-year-old and wounded nine others at a subway stop. The suspect, armed with a knife and a "skewer" of some sort, was arrested at the scene. He is reportedly a 33-year-old Afghan citizen who was hoping to gain asylum in France. An eyewitness to the attack told France 24 that the attack was "frenzied": “There was a man at the 57 (bus stop) who started striking out with a knife in all directions,” said a young girl whose top was stained with blood.

MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell, who used to write for the fictional TV show “West Wing,” proved this week that he hasn’t lost his touch. He showed that he’s not limited to discussing real news – he can make it up and report his fictional version as if it were real. Like much of what is wrong with the media, it began with a tweet. And then O’Donnell repeated his fictional claim on MSNBC Tuesday night. In on-air conversation with Rachel Maddow, whose show immediately precedes his, O’Donnell said he had information about how years ago businessman Donald Trump was “able to obtain loans when no one else would loan him money.”

The Democratic Party has a serious problem: their front-runner for the presidential nomination is a dope. You have read about Joe Biden’s “gaffes”: he can’t remember Barack Obama’s name, he tells a story about military heroism that is wrong in every detail, he can’t remember that by 2018, when the Parkland shooting happened, he was long gone from the vice presidency, and so on. Biden can’t get through a day without a blunder that makes headlines. But there is a difference. The classic Washington definition of a “gaffe” is when someone says what he really thinks. With Biden, headline-making blunders reveal significant cognitive difficulties.

With millions of people unemployed, finding a new job for a well-heeled Washington insider might seem like a low priority for Americans but I still believe it would be sensible and humane to find Bill Kristol another job. The poor fellow has spent years working in politics, and it just isn’t working out for him – or anyone else. Mr Kristol is of course the son of neoconservative theorist Irving Kristol. Neoconservative families are unusually rich in political commentators. Irving Kristol’s contemporary and ideological comrade Norman Podhoretz produced the columnist and editor John Podhoretz. Right-leaning historian Donald Kagan produced the neoconservative theorists Robert and Frederick.

A major headline from the Department of Justice's (DOJ) latest inspector general report is that fired FBI Director James Comey mishandled classified information. But you’d never know it from most of the day-after media reporting on the historic findings. The internal DOJ watchdog documented, irrefutably, that Comey leaked the contents of a classified memo to his legal team, first orally and then by providing a copy of the document. Some of the memo’s content was then leaked to a media organization by one of his lawyers. I first reported this when sources contacted me in late July and told me the inspector general (IG) had referred Comey

Madeleine Westerhout, who left her White House job suddenly on Thursday as President Trump’s personal assistant, was fired after bragging to reporters that she had a better relationship with Trump than his own daughters, Ivanka and Tiffany Trump, and that the president did not like being in pictures with Tiffany because he perceived her as overweight. Given Westerhout’s sensitive role as a confidante to the president, the few details the White House shared about her abrupt firing had Washington’s political-media class in a quiet frenzy on Thursday night and Friday.

Sirhan was said to be in stable condition after the attack. Circumstances that led to the stabbing were not immediately known.

Six ships — the destroyers Lassen, Paul Ignatius and Farragut; the littoral combat ships Billings and Milwaukee; and the patrol craft Shamal — have been directed to head out to sea to ride out the storm. A week before that Drudge had us in a recession not caused by Red China. Drudge has linked and bannered stories about wars with Iran, North Korea and Syria, which never materialized. He’s not irresponsible.” Brooks began by saying that Biden’s statements shouldn’t be compared to President Trump’s in any way. Brooks added, “Biden may be aging, and maybe that’s an issue. I think it’s a legitimate issue for voters to think about. But he’s not mendacious. He’s not irresponsible. He may embellish a story to improve its dramatic effect. And he may be forgetting things. "The check's in the mail" is a promise that payment's been sent even if it hasn't. It's a stalling tactic to avoid pressure from creditors, from those expecting payment. That's the scam our government is running on the American people today, a ruse to tamp down expectations of justice. We all know that the FBI used an unverifiable document, the Steele dossier, to get a warrant to spy on Trump using the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). This dossier was used to start a counterintelligence operation to plant spies in Trump's campaign, to get a special counsel to impeach the president.

Hurricane Dorian, a Category 4 with 140 mph winds as of early Saturday, is not expected to make landfall in Florida and instead will track up the coastline, possibly slamming into the Carolinas late Wednesday. Earlier projections had it hitting Florida head on as early as Monday. Areas all along the coast still are bracing for storm surge, heavy rain and dangerous, gusty winds. Other forecasts have the storm not making landfall at all in the U.S. A high-pressure system in the Atlantic is helping push the storm north. If Dorian remains farther off shore, parts of Florida may see only up to 10 inches of rain, significantly lower than earlier forecasts.
