A just-released Justice Department inspector general's report provides new details on a January 2017 plan by then-FBI Director James Comey, top bureau officials, and the nation's intelligence chiefs to spring a scandalous allegation on President-elect Trump, quickly record his reaction, use a prearranged secure videoconference to discuss the information, and fit it all into the FBI's ongoing (but unknown to Trump) "Crossfire Hurricane" investigation.
The allegation came from the Steele dossier, the collection of unverified tales about Trump and Russia compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele. The story was that in a Moscow hotel room in 2013, Trump had watched as prostitutes performed a kinky sex act —

POTUS-elect Trump knew Comey was no good. January 11th leaks was all the proof he needed. What's intriguing is how he let Comey dangle, all the way through mid-May, before firing him.

The sex ambush set the table for obstruction. Once that story was out, followed by immediate demands for an investigation, all involved knew that any firings would be viewed as obstruction.

Comey should be required to pay the 35 million $$$ Mueller bill , after he created the situation that caused the one sided investigation. All people should be pardoned & the JD should be required to pay all legal bills.

I am so glad Pres. Trump fired him and the way he did it was excellent. He hit him where it hurt. In his ego. I still think the traitor ought to be thrown in jail.

I love the fact that that traitor was fired while he was traveling . It hit him right in his ego. The jerk ought to be thrown in jail.

Comey’s actions make him a hero to the left. They have zero integrity and believe that anything done to interfere in the election of or subsequent removal of President Trump from office is fine and dandy. They are willing to break any law to achieve their goal because Trump is the guy standing in their way of complete control which they were well on their way to attaining. They had the table set with their dominance, propaganda disseminating media on their behalf, and academia indoctrination of our youth, but Trump has pulled the tablecloth out from under it all. Had Trump lost, we would never know the depth of corruption because the democrats would have had complete and total control. It remains to be seen whether or not justice will prevail. I am not optimistic.

No one cares about Comey’s ‘reputation’. It will rise with the liberals/media. What we do care about is that this lying, corrupt, steaming pile of excrement pay for what he did while sitting in a jail cell.

Just sickening. I'd naively thought the FBI was an entity to trust, a la Eliot Ness.

Silly Me! I always thought that an attempted Coup, especially one to take out the PRESIDENT of our country, would DEMAND jail time. In foreign countries, they EXECUTE them! But in our country....NOTHING! A slap on the Wrist. We know ALL of those who were involved in putting this Coup in motion. Brennan, Clapper, high members in the FBI and of course Comey. THEY should all wind up in federal prison! WE, THE PEOPLE, should demand it. As far as AG Barr goes, apparently HE is part of the Deep State. He should be FIRED immediately and Trump should appoint someone who WILL put those involved in trying to take him out, in JAIL! Apparently Trump will need to keep firing people until he gets those who are actually backing him. Christopher Wray should be next! He has not handed over documents asked for by Trump's attorneys. He needs to go! I for one am sick of this mess. It's time for Trump to slash and burn, and mean business so this doesn't happen again. It will if they let these people go scot free!

Article details the efforts by Comey, Clapper, Brennan and all senior FBI officials to have President-elect Trump some how, some way, lie to Comey about Russian collusion in Trump’s win. Meeting was disguised as a briefing, much as the FBI entrapped General Flynn with a request for a discussion at the WH rather than a criminal investigation of Flynn. Neither Trump nor Flynn were advised to have lawyers present, and neither did. This effort by Comey and his goons seems like entrapment, with Trump, like Flynn, unaware that their comments could be used to charge them with lying to the FBI and obstructing a bogus counter intelligence investigation. When Trump didn’t provide Comey with what he wanted, Comey leaked the Steele Dossier garbage to CNN to publically embarrass Trump.
Which leads to this - AG Barr should be fired for allowing Comey to get away with this effort to entrap Trump on lllptotally false accusations. How Barr could decline prosecution is stunning and may indicate that no one in the corrupt Obama regime will ever be prosecuted. A sad day for those who believe in equal justice and an honest DoJ and FBI.

There HAS to be more than just the AG's personal subjective judgement here. We, the people, need to get the full story.

Let's play the left's game and propose legislation to make treason illegal; afterall we respond to the breaking of laws pertaining to firearms by making more laws. Never mind, they wouldn't grasp the point.
Here's my state of the union address: We have no union. We live in a place where very real punishment is meted out for behavior that is perfectly legal even protected by written law. Jobs are lost, people are beaten, property is confiscated, people are incarcerated, fines are levied, enforcement of the new order is relentless. This while breaking the written law is left unenforced unless it suits the the will of the enforcers of the new order. The rules of the new order cannot be written down because they are fluid. The only constant is the destruction of the old order, the one in writing on parchment. We live in a vastly different place than the one we pretend to live in on paper.
Our phony democrat party has succeeded in creating a phony country.
In the manufacturing world we needed a reawakening of sort while it was still the Japanese eating our lunch. One such lesson was that our product specifications are not what's on the drawing but what we actually accept and let get to our customers. (Crosby Quality College)
Our actual societal boundaries have been absconded by the left.
