SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Some of the Democratic presidential candidates said they support rescinding the 20 Medals of Honor awarded to U.S. soldiers for the 1890 Wounded Knee Massacre. Marcella LeBeau, a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, asked candidates for their thoughts on rescinding the Medals of Honor during the second day of the Frank LeMere Native American Presidential Forum in Sioux City on Tuesday. "Back home on the Cheyenne River Reservation, I believe there is a pervasive sadness that exists there because of unresolved grief," LeBeau told the candidates. LeBeau is part of the group asking Congress to

Disband the Dimokkkrap party for its crimes against humanity such as slavery, the KKK, and institutionalizing racism. Imagine leaving the nazi party in power after their crimes.

It's all in how the question is asked:
"Do you support rescinding the medals of the evil white scum racist soldiers who mercilessly massacred innocent native American women and children and left their carcasses to rot in the sun?"

Isn't it odd how erasing or re-writing history makes some people feel better about themselves? This most certainly isn't a "kitchen table issue" for 99.999999% of registered voters.

Christianity teaches FORGIVENESS. Pagans just want to get even, and they call it "justice".

Notice how these people go searching everywhere for 'victims'. They need victims to survive. They are like a flock of vultures circling about, and perfectly willing to give their prey a little 'push' in the right... that is, left direction.
There is no one who was alive at wounded knee. It just more theatre for onlookers while they decide if the victim still has to much fight in them.
There was a documentary on komodo dragons. The dragon would lurk in the grass or in a tree and slash their prey with teeth so filled with specialized bacteria that the beast would only last a day before succumbing to gangrene. When it was weak enough, the dragons, who would gather around from miles away, would move in to messily feed on the still living animal.
Democrats... go figure...

Rescinding medals, removing statues, taking down flags, etc. doesn't erase history.
History happened. Deal with the truth.

So Wounded Knee is the reason for all the pathological dysfunction on the Sioux Reservation in South Dakota? And here I thought it was the subsistence lifestyle visited upon these people by making them wards of the state. If you ever want to see what the progressive socialists have in store for you, go visit an Indian reservation out West. Half the population is unemployed, drunk or strung out on drugs and the other half of the population works for social agencies that address all the issues of the first half. Indians are the most loyal democrat constituency by far.

Wounded Knee vets today. Vietnam vets tomorrow. After all, they marched against us in the '60s.

The Army was at the Pine Ridge Reservation because politicians put them there, just like our forces were placed in Vietnam by elected officials and their laws and policies. The Sioux decided to violently oppose provisions in the Dawes Act intended to assimilate the Indians into American society by reverting back to their old ways characterized by warfare against American citizens. Rightly or wrongly the policy of assimilation the Cavalry was sent to enforce came from politicians. During the previous decades, Sioux depredations against civilian women and children were frequent and legendarily brutal. The Army had lost costly engagements with the Sioux. Near Wounded Knee 25 Army troops were killed and many more wounded, which means the Army won a battle that resulted in the end of the Plains segment of Indian Wars. And it was ugly war, so ending it like Hiroshima may have saved many more Sioux lives than were lost at Wounded Knee. Don't pull a MoH without evidence of an individual's criminal conduct. Being at the battle itself and engaging in combat actions was a trooper's duty, so blanket condemnation for being where their government put them is cowardice.

Why don't the whole lot of you Commucrats show us all just how sorry you are for what happened to the Indians and go back to Europe? I think that would send a great message.

The actions and the medals reveal a part of history. Examine it in scholarly fashion, with all ramifications recognized. Nothing is as simple as it seems. The destroyers of history are unwilling to let us evaluate on our own. Having knowledge is intellectual freedom. Being denied the facts is intellectual restriction.
