By any standard of decency, the Antifa movement is a mob of thugs. Unfortunately, standards of decency have fallen upon hard times. So, anytime the Antifa guys (and gals?) attack and maul people or property, the news is failing to show the thuggery. When the far-Right Proud Boys agitate, the police can do nothing about the violence. City and state leaders, the always liberal mayors and governors, bind the hands of the police. So, reels of films show these cowardly lunatics beating, smashing, cursing and otherwise wrecking civilization virtually with impunity.

The author is wrong!
Proud Boys (PB) are fierce American patriots who are a force for good. I live in Portland, Oregon and this city and state are cesspools run by domestic enemies - leftists who have disenfranchised voters and continue to support the anarchy caused by Antifa, which is just another name for radical communists.
I was at the August 17 rally and the first thing PB did was lead us in prayer. I suppose that could provoke violence from Antifa, Mayor Ted Wheeler, and Hovenor Kate Brown, but not intentionally.
Get your facts right - stop spreading untruths. When the SHTF, you will want PB on your side.

Fight that good fight, #1. Any opposition from the right will of course be portrayed as dangerous, radical, supremacist, hate-driven and racist. The criminal leftist information industry is our country's single biggest threat, change my mind.

As in the French Revolution, I'm not opposed to using some of the same tactics (Guillotines) on Antifa terrorists.

Excuse me for being unable to refuse comment on what I consider to be one of the most fascinating historical events of early modern times: the French Revolution. It occurred at the same time as the founding of the US and is a useful guide to our times although many particulars are far from an exact template. Despite its affectations Antifa isn’t really Jacobins fighting our despicable class of lazy unconcerned unworthy globalist elites, it actually works in their service. This article left the Revolution at the point at which perhaps (only history will tell), the equivalent of the Proud Boys actually entered the fray. They were called the Jeunesse Doree or “Gilded Youth”, young dandies in dress and manner who had wealth and weren’t averse to knocking heads together and much worse. They appeared when the public was exhausted by the Reign of Terror, the amateurish, bloodthirsty and psychopathic leadership by, most notably, monsters like Marat and Robespierre, the randomness of penalties leading to the guillotine or to mass drownings and the overall sense of chaos. We have nothing like the horrors of that period but if we aren’t careful the hateful will prevail. The press’ attempts to draw an equivalence between the traitorous Antifa thugs and a group dedicated to their neutralization reveals either unforgivable ignorance or treason.

Different time, different place. Antifa is nothing more than domestic terrorist hiding behind masks. Hold them accountable. They aren't some liberal novelty.

It's about time a few antifa thugs got their comeuppance by attacking someone with their chains and clubs and bats, and finding a legally armed citizen prepared for self defense with a handgun.

As a first step to controlling violence in the street it should be made compulsory by law that anyone desiring to participate in any form of demonstration for whatever purpose in the streets anywhere in the USA must under no circumstances hide his/her identity behind a mask or balaclavas, and groups of such demonstrators cannot identify themselves as a group by wearing uniform clothing including same color clothing, covering all over the upper part of their body.

Federally imposed martial law would stop Antifa thugs cold.
