COLLEGE PARK, GEORGIA – Five Democratic presidential candidates injected faith and bible verses into their messaging during a forum hosted by the Black Church PAC at a Christian conference outside of Atlanta. “When two or more of us gather in his name, he is with us and we rejoice,” Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren said as she took the stage at the forum on Saturday.“The Bible, if it is about anything, it is about justice, it is about reaching out to people in need, it is about standing up to the wealthy and the powerful,” said Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who is Jewish. “That’s what this campaign is about.”

It is my firm belief that you can not be a Liberal and proclaim yourself to be "Christian." The two do not mix.

If you remove any reference to God's holiness, righteousness, justice, love, mercy, power, and wisdom, and deny the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ to atone for the sins of mankind, then you can use the Bible to justify almost anything, including the rantings of an agnostic Commie.

Phony, phony, phonies.
It's amazing how adhering to the Word of God is important to these horrible panderers when it serves their purposes.
When God "disagrees" with their agenda in matters of morality and abortion somehow He is wrong and is really okay with their forceful advocacy of all things evil.
Save the false piety and preaching. How can any THINKING person actually believe their garbage?

Really? Is that what the Bible is all about? I thought it was about God's Plan, faith and redemption through Christ. If it was all about justice and standing up to the weathy, God would have just given us better guns.
Instead of pouring out a flood of lies and pretending to be Christians, these demoncrats ought to be trembling. "You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!" James 2:19

Time to revoke the tax-exempt status of these "churches".
Past time.
Long past time.
If they want to do politics, they can pay their share of taxes.

I've been reading "Bonhoefer" (the biography of Dietrich B). He was startled when he went to NYC the first time at Union Theological Seminary that, even then, Social Justice was theology. His fellow seminarians laughed at Biblical passages which he regarded as the Word of God. He found believers in Christ at the AfricanAmerican churches (mainly the church of Adam Clayton Powell, Sr.) in Harlem.

From the first word in scripture to the last the Bible is about our Lord. And yes..... we are told that we must take care of widows, orphans, and those less fortunate than we are. However that care should come from family member to family member, neighbor to neighbor on an individual voluntary fashion. Voluntary is the operative word. No where in scripture is it stated that coerced giving through taxation should be the order of the day. We are asked to be personally generous.
No one may pick and choose only verses he or she likes; we must accept and follow the entire work. I would really love to ask any of them to explain the meaning of 2 Thessalonians 3:10......"The one who is UNWILLING to work shall not eat."
I'm guessing that's where scripture loses them; not to mention all the verses that addresses Pete's lifestyle of choice.

Liberals like to point to the scriptures regarding the poor, the hungry, etc. What they ignore is that the charge to care for those in need is to believers, not for the creation of a government food stamp program or public housing. Public assistance through government programs does not meet the Biblical standard to care for those who are needy. Conservatives probably need to remind themselves of this as well.

The New Testament is not about justice, but rather salvation. The old testament was about the legacy of God's chosen people.
I dont think these people read the bible.
The only real mention about justice, is that NO ONE is worthy of the kingdom of God. Not One. Only through Christ (His mercy) will you come into the kingdom.

Hate to break this to you democrats, but at the moment, you are nothing but a noxious stench in God's righteous nostrils. You support and defend the most vile and corrupt evil, and God is watching. He does not like to be mocked. Your time is coming.

It's the usual Democrat formula: cynical self-seekers pandering to the lock-step ignorant. Gotta get out that primary vote, doncha know. As PDT might say, SAD!
