Proving once again they're absolutely clueless on firearms, nearly 200 House Democrats have indicated their support for legislation banning all semi-automatic firearms nationwide.
They aren't just talking about the dreaded AR-15 here. Every new Glock, outlawed. My dad's old .22 Browning target pistol, which my 13-year-old insists I leave to him in my will, would be among the last of its kind. And -- try not to think about this too hard, or you'll cry -- the Colt 1911 .45, perhaps the American sidearm, would be no more.
We'll get revolvers and bolt-action rifles and that's about it.
The Assault Weapons Ban of 2019

Let me think....Occasional psycho (who will find a way to kill people anyway) or governments whom have murdered 100 (+/-) million of their own citizens after they've been disarmed???

for a Global Communist/Democrat ANYTHING that has the word
"Automatic" associated with it is the same as a .50 cal machine gun..
i assume that includes banning "automatic transmissions" in cars

I knew this was coming. A revolver has 6 bullets and each time you pull the trigger it fires. This is defined as a semi-automatic.

There should be a basic firearms training course including so many hours on the range with a variety of different firearms required for anyone running for office. (but then I think all US citizens would benefit from such a requirement) If you will be responsible for legislation involving such a topic, you should at least have some clue what you are talking about.

I guess there hasn't been much coverage, if any, on CNN, MSNBC or in the NY Times or Washington Post, but London is having one whale of a time with homicide by knife. Murderers will kill and no amount of virtue signalling legislation, directed not at criminals but at law-abiding citizens, will change that.

Now that's some sweeping change. Talk about coming out of the 'closet'. First they no longer hid the fact they want all out socialism and now total gun bans on firearms they fear most 'autoloaders'. No hiding it now they are going for America's throat in 2020 hoping to win. There are stupid Republicans who stand with this silliness who don't represent gun ownership or support the 2nd Amendment in the Constitution remember that.

Why weren't the dems upset yesterday with the Philly shooter using an AR15 on cops? Why didn’t one of them step up and try to pry that gun out of his hands? The idiot mayor tried to say that if guns were banned, this situation would not have occurred. Seriously? These people are really delusional!

So taking guns away from the 99% responsible gun owners will solve the problem of the 1% of the bad guys having guns? Right.

The dems are for eventually outlawing all guns for private citizens. Outlawing so called 'assualt' weapons is just the first step in the process.

#17 is correct. A total ban on all firearms for private citizens. This is their end game and what the left has wanted for years. When the 1968 Gun Control Act was passed it was promised by antigun politicians that this was all they wanted...sensible gun control like stopping guns by mail, etc. Two years later they presented a new bill to ban the sale of all handguns. It didn't go anywhere but it certainly exposed their true agenda.

The answer is to have HIPAA and schools release record info on teenage pupils if they show signs of mental behavior. Also don't delete their records in High school, their character and personality is developed by 4 yrs. old, this is who they are. What they did in school is what they are going to do as an adult. When this record is expunged there is no background and they can get a gun, so forget about background checking. Notice these shooters are all young and had problems in school.

A crazy person does something terrible to law-abiding people.
The state's solution is:
All you law-abiding people have to lose your rights
because the state has proven that the state cannot protect you.
No.
The state did not have the authority to outlaw automatics in '86.
and it does not have the authority to outlaw semi-automatics now.
...Shall Not Be Infringed...

Proving it is time to repeal the NFOPA1986, GCA1968 and NFA1934. They violate the constitution and oppress the ordinary citizen. And no, the government wasn't given the power to tax in order to do an end-run around a clear constitutional prohibition - "...shall not be infringed."

What we really need is JUDGE Control...they keep letting these criminals out on technicalities. SO when will the Judges be held totally responsible for every criminal they let loose and pay damages to those injured/murdered and be impeached, disbarred and removed?

There has never been a gun control bill proposed that would not leave the law abiding unarmed and the outlaws armed.
My conclusion is that is what the gun control advocates actually want.

Never going to pass. What part of shall not be infringed don't they understand? Virtually all guns made and sold are semi-automatics. There are very few single-shot weapons out there. Did you know a baseball bat is an assault weapon? Definition of assault: "Assault is the act of inflicting physical harm or unwanted physical contact upon a person or, in some specific legal definitions, a threat or attempt to commit such an action."
So if you strike the word Assault, the real agenda is Weapons Ban 2019.

Actually, not so, #4. A semi-automatic uses the power from the cartridge to load the next cartridge. A revolver is "manually operated", and NOT semi-automatic.
