More details have come out on the death of convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in his jail cell at Manhattan Correctional Center on Saturday. The Associated Press reports one of the two people who were on duty at the jail and in charge of watching Epstein was not a correctional officer. With shortages of trained correctional officers in some federal prisons, they have resorted to using clerical workers and teachers. Jail policy called for guards to check Epstein every 30 minutes after he reportedly attempted to commit suicide a few weeks prior. Investigators found the checks weren’t

Comments:

Starting to sound like a movie. Regular guard gets clunked on the head while walking down the dark passageway to the cell. New guy puts on the guard's uniform and does the deed, then slips away.

He supposedly strangled himself with a bed sheet by "kneeling towards the floor". Now that would take determination... Probably almost impossible to do. Were there no ccv cameras? Even food stores have cameras everywhere these days.

Before it's all over, we'll learn that one of the "guards" was a former assassin "who was trying to turn his life around."

Please. How much training does it take to look in on a prisoner every thirty minutes and make sure he's not killing himself?

He was what, a pilot waiting to whisk the perv to safety? The curved nose (vs perfectly straight on Epstein) and the oddly shaped ear make that gurney photo about as believable as Barry's birth certificate, signed by U.K. Lele. Maybe the same crew produced it, laughing in broad daylight.

You know what, #7, I don’t give a Whip about Epstein either. What I do give a Whip about is if other (culpable) people orchestrated his demise to avoid justice. We should all be held to the same rules; there should not be one set of rules for the rich and powerful and another for you and me.

It's getting curiouser and curiouser. You would think that they would have done something right since Epstein was the country's most valuable prisoner. Don't tell me they have shortages of officers, this is freakin New York, the city that has dollars to burn.

Around the world among the people that count, the Epstein demise fiasco makes the USA look like a corrupt Banana Republic. It sounds like the NY US attorney’s office started this by charging Epstein as being part of a conspiracy, but did not name any other conspirators, like for instance they were hoping to add the name Trump later on. If this investigation was real from the get-go, why didn't the FBI raid Epstein’s private island immediately after Epstein was arrested as that’s where a lot of the underage sex trafficking activities were said to have taken place?

Coping with a struggling campaign and facing the reality that he wouldn’t make the stage at next month’s third round of Democratic presidential debates, former two-term Colorado Gov. But I will never stop believing that America can only move forward when we work together," Hickenlooper said in a video released on social media and through email. “A little over six months ago, I announced my run for president. Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact:

Some 80 years ago, on Aug. 23, 1939, Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union signed the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, formally known as the Treaty of non-aggression between Germany and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. The world was shocked — and terrified — by the agreement. Western democracies of the 1930s had counted on the huge resources of Communist Russia, and its hostility to the Nazis, to serve as a brake on Adolf Hitler’s Western ambitions. Great Britain and the other Western European democracies had assumed that the Nazis would never invade them as long as a hostile Soviet Union threatened

DES MOINES, Iowa — The chant — "2 cents, 2 cents, 2 cents" — started in the back of a crowd that packed sidewalks at the Iowa State Fair.
