NEW YORK – At least three people were violently mugged early this morning in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The first attack happened on Ross Street, the second on Wythe Place and a third on Clymer Street. The suspects allegedly struck three Hasidic Jews, between the ages of 56 and 71, within an hour. Friends told CBS2’s Christina Fan the men were walking to synagogue or work when the suspects ambushed them. Now, the NYPD’s Hate Crimes unit is on the case. “Obviously, might just be a run-of-the-mill mugging with the attempt as a bias crime, knowing that these people – just like myself, I

Thanks, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, AOC and Rashida Tlaib. The Jews have enough persecution; they didn't need you piling on. And thanks, American schools in California for blatantly promoting anti-Semitism and anti-Israel sentiment.

Probably Norwegian thugs since they were not identified in the article. Too bad the victims were not armed in order to protect themselves.

#3 Generally, it's just blacks (religion unknown) hating on Jewish people. Muslims typically have a vehicle in these events, I guess because of their dominance in the taxi/car industry. It's our Rabbi's policy that we walk in groups to shul, for this reason. No one gets left behind.

Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact:
A bad deal, 80 years ago

Some 80 years ago, on Aug. 23, 1939, Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union signed the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, formally known as the Treaty of non-aggression between Germany and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. The world was shocked — and terrified — by the agreement. Western democracies of the 1930s had counted on the huge resources of Communist Russia, and its hostility to the Nazis, to serve as a brake on Adolf Hitler’s Western ambitions. Great Britain and the other Western European democracies had assumed that the Nazis would never invade them as long as a hostile Soviet Union threatened

Stacey Abrams, the former Democratic nominee for Georgia governor, said Tuesday she is open to becoming the running mate for “any” of the roughly two dozen White House candidates vying to take on President Donald Trump in 2020. “I would be honored to be considered by any nominee,” she said in an interview with The New York Times. Abrams announced Tuesday she would not enter the crowded Democratic presidential primary, and would instead focus her efforts in the year-and-a-half before Election Day on combating voter suppression and boosting participation in the 2020 census. “I’ve just come to the decision that

More details have come out on the death of convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in his jail cell at Manhattan Correctional Center on Saturday. The Associated Press reports one of the two people who were on duty at the jail and in charge of watching Epstein was not a correctional officer. With shortages of trained correctional officers in some federal prisons, they have resorted to using clerical workers and teachers. Jail policy called for guards to check Epstein every 30 minutes after he reportedly attempted to commit suicide a few weeks prior. Investigators found the checks weren’t

One of the hottest trends in the restaurant world right now is delivery — and Minneapolis just gave people one more reason to stay home and place their food orders online: The city has placed a ban on the construction of new drive-thru windows. Be it restaurant or coffee shop, pharmacy or bank, the Minneapolis City Council approved the new rule this past Thursday, leaving current drive-thrus untouched (as well as businesses that are currently waiting for approval), but preventing the construction of any new ones within the city. "We're not closing any of the current drive-thrus," Council Vice President Andrea

DES MOINES, Iowa — The chant — "2 cents, 2 cents, 2 cents" — started in the back of a crowd that packed sidewalks at the Iowa State Fair. Elizabeth Warren, basking in the spontaneous adulation of her proposed wealth tax, prompted roars with her call for the ultra-wealthy to "pitch in 2 cents so everybody gets a chance to make it." A night before, the Massachusetts senator enjoyed similar treatment when Democrats at a party dinner jumped to their feet — some beginning to dance — at the opening bars of Dolly Parton's "9 to 5," the song that would usher Warren on stage.

Police have warned social media users they could face arrest if they "troll" a wanted drug dealer by mocking his distinctive hairstyle. An online appeal to catch the criminal has resulted in tens of thousands of people posting joke comments. Jermaine Taylor, 21, is wanted for breaching his licence conditions after being released from prison in December 2018. Gwent Police launched the social media appeal to find the convicted drug dealer, but it backfired when people began making jokes about his hairstyle, with one saying it had been "pushed back more times than Brexit". Months before launching his 2020 presidential campaign, Joe Biden acknowledged that he is a “gaffe machine,” prone to misstatements and embarrassing mistakes. He lived up to that reputation this past weekend on a campaign swing in Iowa, renewing fears among some Democrats that the 76-year-old former vice president and current frontrunner in the race for the Democratic nomination may not have the stamina for what would likely be a brutal campaign against President Trump. At a gun violence forum on Saturday, Biden recalled meeting with survivors of the high school shooting in Parkland, Fla., as vice president — a meeting

It’s not that they hold it against Pete Buttigieg, mayor of South Bend, Indiana, but they fear the rest of the country may not be ready for a 37-year-old, married, openly gay man to sit in the White House, so they are reluctant to help him win the party’s presidential nomination. “Pete Buttigieg is interesting to me, but, honestly, he is probably not electable, and the last thing I want is Donald Trump in office,” said David Cline. “I do believe his sexuality is an issue for folks, which is too bad.

Without Voter ID, it is all so meaningless!” Trump tweeted Tuesday. (Tweet) Trump has long touted unfounded claims that he only lost the 2016 popular vote by 3 million ballots because of “millions of people who voted illegally.”
