Chris Cuomo’s explosive recorded reaction to being called “Fredo” by a photograph seeker had the CNN anchor trending on Twitter for all the wrong reasons.A video posted on the YouTube channel “THAT’S THE POINT with Brandon” showed Cuomo getting increasingly upset and even threatening violence during a verbal altercation with a man who called him “Fredo.”However, while plenty of F-bombs were being tossed about by the angry CNN anchor, the phrase that seemed to get the most attention on Twitter was his equating of labeling an Italian “Fredo” to calling an African-American person the “n-word.”

So, from now on, he will be Fredo. A perfect fit, for the stupid, weak minded Italian loser of a little brother.
A perfect fit....which is why it gets under his skin so effectively.
Fredo Cuomo. Perfect.

How about calling him Al Fredo Cuomo. Pasta and chicken with that buddy? Maybe some broccoli too?

The Brothers Cuomo never struck me as very bright bulbs. And his language in front of his family is ... well, you know, classless and tasteless. What a Fredo.

Does Cuomo prefer Sonny or Michal instead of Fredo?

When did this bad language become solidified in our culture? It wasn't always this way. Words that I didn't hear until high school are now common currency. From where did this baseness come? (Regarding the topic: We all know what Fredo means, and it has nothing to do with the Corleone brothers being Italian. Cuomo is just show-boating.)

People who threaten to beat you up at loud volume have been looking at themselves in the mirror too long to see toughness that is not there. There are many expressions: all sizzle no steak ?
Oh, the commensurate ethnic slur for Italians would be guineapig w/o the pig or WOP, which meant without papers.
People shouldn't talk to strangers even celebrities. Fredo shoulda said bleep you and turned away.
These are the times we live in.

Actually calling him Freda is not like calling an Italian the N word. It's more like when Leftists call Clarence Thomas an Uncle Tom.

I'm Sicilian-American, just like Cuomo. "Fredo" is NOT an ethnic slur. It is a generalized derisive nickname for a loser or slow-witted hanger-on. It is NOT the equivalent of N-word. Cuomo went to Yale on his family's (father's and brother's) political juice, not his own intellect, which is, as of yet, undiscovered. Chris Cuomo is an embarrassment, a pu**y, AND a Fredo.

Rush has been calling this clown Fredo for years - it’s a Godfather reference to the incompetent brother in the Corleone family....

It would have been better for Chris “Fredo” Cuomo to keep his mouth shut and be thought stupid, than to open his mouth and remove all doubt.

When all you are is a fraudulent reputation, you get VERY defensive of it.
"Fredo" is simply calling Chris an incompetent dope, i.e. the truth.
Of course, the same could be said about much of the media.

It's because Cuomo is an ignoramus. In other words, he don't know much.

So try this..... walk up to any Black guy on MLK Blvd in any city. Say "Hey Fredo." When he says his name isn't Fredo, drop the N word on him. Be sure to document the different responses. Putz.

Fredo = the dumb brother.
We all know both brothers are dumb. So CC is the dumber brother.
Sean H: no CC does not get a pass here. He is an ill mannered, violent man who was out of control. The other man did not cause CC to become violent and contentious. CC is an elite dumb brother who insults me every time he opens his mouth. The other man did not incite the violent outburst. You are mistaken, Sean. CC did not get what he deserved: he should have been arrested in front of his kid(s) for making a threat against a person, he should have been cuffed to protect himself and others, put in a straight jacket and taking to the shrink ward for 24 hrs at the nearest mental hospital. CC should have his gun removed from his possession ASAP. Nope, CC gets no pass. He is a disgusting, mean, jerk from a politically powerful family. Why is he to be treated any differently Sean? Because he is from a political family, and tv anchor? No way. Arrest his dangerous ass! Charge him with terrorist threats against another! Equal justice ya know. CC is the "dumber" of the two brothers. So be it.

"That's Amore", Italian style, only with an AK-47 for the exclamation point. BTW, I do not want to sully any Italian. I have known and worked with many. They were all warm and gracious.
