Mistakes were made, oh golly, how sad, nothing can be done.
And Clinton and a dozen or two other rich leftists get off scot free.

I care not how screwed up this institution may have been. They had one guy with the highest priority, historical priority for that matter. I refuse to accept that it didn't occur to them that this was one assignment they would experience in a lifetime which they must not fail to perform adequately. Do not buy into the arguement that they stink at their jobs and this one just "slipped through the cracks." With their backs up against the wall even F Troop would figure out how to shoot.

If they can't watch the "important" or high profile inmates, who can they watch?
And where did they send the guy who offed Whitey Bulger over at the fed pen in West Va?
If I was Manafort's lawyer, I'd be visiting him every day.

Subtext: We've got it all, and I mean ALL! We know who you are and what you did (you dirty wretches). If you think Epstein squeezed you, you've not seen anything yet!

Deeply concerning,eh? Whenever I hear my attorney/brother say something concerns him, that means he needs a few minutes to polish up the thing somebody left floating in the punchbowl.

Poster No. 3 hits the nail on the head, as far as I am concerned. One of the most high-profile cases was sitting in a jail cell. And yet he couldn't be kept alive? There weren't cameras on him 24/7? That makes no sense. People know what really happened and they aren't talking. The Clintons OR friends of Prince Andrew got to him. Just think if Epstein could have been able to turn state's evidence to reduce his sentence? This trafficking of women and minors is like drugs: It dries up when there is no demand for it.

Unsurprising in a politicized "criminal justice system."

The 'critical factor' is not that this was a 'high profile' defendant.
The 'critical factor' was that his trial threatened the the Clinton Machine.
How many suspicious deaths have been laid at the feet of PDJT ?
Even from the lying sack of schummer media........NONE !

Sorry, AG Barr, but you should have been paying more attention after Epstein's first "suicide" attempt. Enough with trying to make this prison a version of "Orange Is the New Black." They had no problems keeping El Chapo from self-destruction. He had to have just as many enemies, yet nobody got to him. Accountability? Heard that one before, and still waiting, waiting, waiting.

There are "irregularities" at every one of the correctional institutions, and you guys have always known about it.

NOW their finding out? Wouldn't a little foresight before placing him in the jail have been in order?

There will be accountability? Don't make me laugh. A few low echelon people at the facility will be given hand slaps. Meanwhile, mission accomplished.

Looking for the lowest denominator to hold accountable, US. Corrections Officer (COs). Let us instead start from the top shall we and work our way down.
Fed. NYC Head of Corrections, moving right down the chain of command until we get to the US COs.
Jail time and murder sentences for all parties involved.

There’s only one question which needs to be asked to tell us exactly what happened and that question is...
Who benefits most from Epstein’s death?

On a case like this, any problems should be eliminated at the beginning. If not, Why not? DOJ ultimately dropped the ball here. Let's see if someone was complicit.

It’s not a mistake or an irregularity at the facility. It is gross and unaccountable incompetence. Why can’t government officials EVER just tell the truth about their own?

Now Learning Bill?
You are paid to know this stuff in advance. A bunch of us peasants without your experience and job description knew this was going to happen from the start.
If you say you are just NOW learning of it, then you are completely incompetent....
Or a co-conspirator who 'doth protesteth too much'.
