As the residents of Dayton, Ohio, grapple with a mass shooting that killed nine and injured 27 last weekend, the city's mayor has been outspoken critic of President Donald Trump's response to the tragedy. On Tuesday, Mayor Nan Whaley described Trump's rhetoric as painful to many in her community ahead of the president's scheduled visit. "I'm disappointed with his remarks," Whaley said. "He mentioned gun issues one time. I think watching the president over the last few years on the issue of guns, I'm not sure he knows what he believes." Mayor Nan’s rhetoric is painful. No respect for the dead and their families and no respect for law enforcement. Never let a good crisis go to waste Nan. You are a real heartless venomous virtueless immoral disgrace. Shame on you. You are just making yourself look like the real idiot you are. But it’s good for people to see who you really are. A worthless America hating bully.

Nan was going to run for governor last year but dropped out early. She has no credibility. Dayton has the chronic problems which are the result of 'compassionate' democrats foisting their half-baked 'solutions' upon us. We have poor schools, drug crime etc. Recently we have had a really intractable & accelerating housing collapse - i.e. almost every block in parts of town has many houses - sometimes more than half - abandoned & crumbling. And on top of that - in March the FBI arrested 4 people connected with the city government on fraud charges. Nan has swept that under the rug. When we had the tornadoes in May Nan was less than helpful - even blithely saying the damage within the Dayton city limits was minimal or some such. (Most of the damage was is Harrison Township & Trotwood, Riverside & Beavercreek which are suburbs. But old north Dayton suffered a whole lot of damage.) She was in no way gracious today.

The tragedy is nothing to Murder, Inc. They see mass shootings merely as opportunities to advance leftist causes. There's no god, no afterlife, so the people killed in mass shootings (Chicago and B-More included) are useful idiots to them.

Former Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday snapped at a reporter from a right-wing outlet who said he misquoted President Trump's statement on white supremacists who clashed with counterprotesters in Charlottesville, Va., in 2017. Trump’s infamous response — that there were “very fine people on both sides” of the Charlottesville episode — drew widespread outrage among Democrats, Republicans and even members of his administration. Speaking to reporters at the Iowa State Fair, Biden was accused by Joel Pollak, host of “Breitbart News Tonight” on Sirius XM radio, of misquoting Trump. Pollak suggested Trump condemned the neo-Nazis who organized the rally.

We’re told the cable network hopes to hire regular CNN contributors April Ryan, Andrew Gillum, Angela Rye and Bakari Sellers as panelists for a brand-new show. Former Vice President Joe Biden leads the pack of Democratic presidential candidates by double digits, but Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) is narrowing the gap, according to a new survey by Quinnipiac University Poll released on Tuesday. Warren’s support rose to 21 percent among Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters, the survey says, a 5-point gain since late last month. That puts her comfortably in second place. Biden, the primary contest’s front-runner, still leads the pack, notching 32 percent support in the latest Quinnipiac poll. But that’s a 2-point drop since the last survey, leaving a smaller gap between him and Warren. Sen.

Atlanta - As socialism moves from the political margins to the center of presidential politics, it faces a new and welcome problem: where to go from here? The last time the nation’s largest socialist organization came together for its biennial conference, congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was serving tacos and cocktails at a bar in Manhattan. Two years later, the Democratic Socialists of America have doubled in size and the young, Latina, democratic socialist from the Bronx who unseated a 10-term veteran to win her New York congressional seat has become a political force so visible she is known simply by her initials, AOC.

The move came three years after RePlanet closed 191 of its recycling centers and laid off 278 workers. Now many San Francisco Bay Area residents have few or no options for redeeming their recyclables, which is especially concerning for those who live in poverty or experience

Detroit was in the national spotlight during the Democratic presidential debates last week, but one thing was largely absent from the discussion. Issues impacting urban cities. Detroit — the largest African American majority city in America — is home to a microcosm of systemic issues facing cities across the nation: Poverty, crime, struggling educational systems, a lack of affordable housing and long-term disinvestment, to name a few. Yet, it and other cities like it, were tossed on a back burner while candidates traded barbs and debated at length the minutia of each other's health care proposals. For years, consumers have complained about slower, noisier dishwashers that produce dirtier dishes, the result of tighter federal efficiency regulations that the Trump administration is now seeking to unload. The Energy Department last month proposed a rule to create a new dishwasher product class that would finish a normal cycle in an hour or less by using less stringent energy standards than permitted under the current rules. Sam Kazman, general counsel of the free-market Competitive Enterprise Institute, which led the charge for the regulatory clean-up, said the ever-tighter restrictions on energy and water have produced machines that take twice as long without getting dishes as scrubbed
