A major NRA donor is suing the gun-rights organization for fraud, accusing the NRA of improperly using donations it solicited from its members over the past four years for purposes unrelated to its “core mission,” such as expensive clothing and trips for CEO Wayne LaPierre. David Dell’Aquila of Nashville filed the class action lawsuit late Tuesday in federal court in Tennessee. It names Mr. LaPierre, the NRA, and the NRA’s associated charitable foundation as defendants. “In their solicitations, Defendants alleged that the donations would be used for gun safety education; to promote shooting sports and hunter safety; to foster wildlife conservation; and to protect gun ownership

Whether or not the NRA is corrupt has no bearing on whether Americans have a right to bear arms.

I am very disappointed in the corrupt, bloated enterprise they have become. It is made worse by the knowledge that when I was young and had a family to feed, I sent them money I could barely afford just to have them waste it. Now I can afford to send them a lot and they get a fat lot of nothing.

I had been a member for many years, but grew increasingly annoyed with their incessant bombardment of renewal notices. These often started within a month of paying a membership fee.. Eventually I decided if they had enough money to waste with this behavior they didnt need any more from me. We'll see if GOA is any better.

At first I suspected that there was a Leftist hit job being conducted against the NRA but too many large donors and too many gala events that cost thousands of dollars have convinced me that the charges against LaPierre are valid. In a legitimate business, suits are not chargeable to the company and are not tax deductible. Now I suspect further abuses. I may rejoin when he is replaced. They try to convince us that we would not own any weapons if not for the NRA but I think the Second Amendment is a better guarantee than they are. They have lost their way just as most other organizations that have access to limitless cash always do.

My experience with NRA was exactly as #4 states. I joined NRA for the same reason I overspend at Chick-fil-A each time they get trashed by the communist news organizations. Thank God, our founders had enough sense to be clear about what the Second Amendment intends.

LaPiere has been a good leader, but I have had an inkling for about 15 years that he has had his hands in the cookie jar, too. Sounds like the comeuppance is about to arrive for Mr. LaPierre.

The “sister” of the Dayton, Ohio, shooter who was killed during the attack identified as a transgender guy—although his family had no idea, according to a report and some of his own social media posts. Connor Betts’ 22-year-old sibling was named by authorities as Megan Betts in the days after the mass shooting, with cops releasing a statement saying relatives had lost “a daughter.” But he apparently went by the name Jordan Cofer, and identified as a male, although he was only “out” to a small circle of friends, according to Splinter News, which spoke to several of those pals anonymously.

A staunch supporter of the rights of immigrants—and a married father of five—was killed last week when an illegal immigrant from El Salvador facing deportation crashed into his motorcycle in Colorado. Sean Buchanan, 45, was driving northbound on Highway 83 on August 2 when Colorado State Patrol say a southbound truck operated by Miguel Ramirez Valiente went off the side of the road, then over-corrected into the wrong lane and crashed into Buchanan's bike, killing him. For years, consumers have complained about slower, noisier dishwashers that produce dirtier dishes, the result of tighter federal efficiency regulations that the Trump administration is now seeking to unload. The Energy Department last month proposed a rule to create a new dishwasher product class that would finish a normal cycle in an hour or less by using less stringent energy standards than permitted under the current rules. Sam Kazman, general counsel of the free-market Competitive Enterprise Institute, which led the charge for the regulatory clean-up, said the ever-tighter restrictions on energy and water have produced machines that take twice as long without getting dishes as scrubbed

Seven times this year, a gunman has opened fire in a U.S. public place, killing at least three people. One shooter is suspected of being a white supremacist. One was an Elizabeth Warren supporter. And two were black. Yet fears over rising white nationalist attacks after the El Paso massacre threaten to obscure what studies describe as the big picture about mass killings: that they represent a small fraction of annual gun deaths, that they are not surging, and that about half are committed by whites, not a share out of line with the general U.S. populace. The United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released a report on Thursday that calls for letting agricultural land return to the wilderness and for people to eat more plants and fewer animals. The report reiterates the globalist organization’s claim that man’s use of natural resources to improve people’s lives around the world is making “global warming” worse and will make food more scarce, more expensive, and less nutritional. “The cycle is accelerating,” NASA climate scientist Cynthia Rosenzweig, a co-author of the report, said in an Associated Press report. “The threat of climate change affecting people’s food on their dinner table is increasing.”
