A police chief in Texas is apologizing after two cops on horseback were caught on camera leading a black suspect by a rope through city streets, acknowledging the officers showed “poor judgment.” Galveston Police Chief Vernon Hale said the officers “clipped” a line to the handcuffs of suspect Donald Neely, 43, as he was being led to a Mounted Patrol Unit staging area after he was arrested for criminal trespassing on Saturday. “First and foremost, I must apologize to Mister Neely for this unnecessary embarrassment,” Hale said in a statement late Monday. “Although this is a trained technique and best practice in some scenarios,

Maybe if embarrassment and shame was experienced a bit more by these perps, they would think twice about committing their crimes. What were the cops supposed to do? Toss the man over the back of the horse like a load of dirty clothes or something? He was allowed ot walk beside them, not forced to walk in front. The Left is never going to be happy.

Just suppose this had been a white guy. Would any one have made an issue of it? No? Are whites not worthy of concern? Pretty sure that is the society we live in. Whites can suck it, blacks are quite useful as agitprop.

I doubt that the cops knew (I certainly didn't) that it was imperative to protect a criminal from embarrassment, when caught in a criminal act, if they have darker than average skin tone. Apparently that is known as the melanin exemption.

Does anyone doubt for a minute that if the suspect had been white this wouldn't even have been a story. If this was standard procedure for men on horseback to secure someone and it has been used for anybody male/female any ethnic background, then what's the problem. Its not like a cop in a car where you can put him in the back of the car. It is also not like they put the rope around his neck it was attached to his handcuffs to keep him from running away.

Presidential candidate Mayor Pete Buttigieg praised late Sen. He was very convincing to independents because he did not appear to be dogmatic and he really prided himself, I think, on openness—especially with the press,” the Indiana Democrat told reporters in New Hampshire, via The Hill. “I have taken a lot of lessons from that, even though my values and ideas are very different than his were,”

Johannesburg—African borders are often a tangle of razor wire, with soldiers at crossing points checking papers, waving on those with valid IDs and turning back the rest. Even so, an estimated 1,200 undocumented migrants every night cross the Limpopo River, South Africa’s equivalent of the Rio Grande separating the U.S. and Mexico. Most are from Zimbabwe, where shortages of food and fuel and an unemployment rate of more than 80% have sparked a steady exodus to the more stable and more prosperous South Africa.(Snip) This year, Angola has deported an estimated 330,000 “irregular migrants” who have fled ethnic violence in neighboring Congo.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has unveiled a stretch of new wall on the southern border, saying it has completed at least 60 miles of new border wall in total. The new section of wall near San Luis, Arizona consists of an 18-foot steel bollard barrier. CBP says that a new triple-layered enforcement zone is more effective at deterring illegal entry than the former single 10-foot barrier. The agency says that it plans to build at least 450 miles of new border wall by the end of 2020, and has projects underway in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.
