Both Bill and Hillary Clinton reacted to President Trump’s Monday morning remarks on the deadly shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, dismissing his push for mental health-based reform and calling for the ban of “assault weapons.”Trump addressed the nation Monday on the deadly shootings that occurred over the weekend, resulting in more than 30 fatalities and dozens of injuries. He unequivocally condemned racism, bigotry, and white supremacy, calling them “sinister ideologies” that “must be defeated.”“In one voice, our nation must condemn racism, bigotry, and white supremacy,” Trump said.

With regard to terrorism, liberals want to go after the "root" cause.
With regard to shootings, liberals don't want to go after the root cause, they want to take your weapons.

Yeah - are they out of prison this soon for their crimes against America? Loral Missile guidance technology w Bernard Schwartz 'helping' ChiComs with our MIRV missile guidance technology - so they could get working ICBMs? For what $750k to DNC? Probably $5-10 million in Hill-BIll's separate Swiss bank accounts....

We have had gun control, gun control, gun control ever since Sirhan Sirhan, who just happens to be, you guessed it, a Palestinian! Back round checks have been increasingly intrusive. And all for what? Nothing. Gang violence has escalated beyond what Capone did in the 30s. The death rate in Chicago alone is higher than all the mass shootings in a year! Add in Baltimore, New Orleans, Detroit and a few other Democrat heavens and it makes the Afghan war look like nothing. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. Dems are insane to contiune to advocate for failed and ineffective policies. So its no surprise brain death dinosaurs without an original though like the Clintons would advocate for more failed policies. Its time to look for root causes, not band the tools.

Since almost all mass shooters are young men, I suggest the root cause has been the total social and educational assault on boys for the last 45 to 50 years. Add in the leftists assault on marriage and a thrill up the leg for single motherhood, plus the decrease in the number of jobs that were once available to young men because of globalization, add in the constant drumbeat of the attitude that males are not needed, and one has a recipe for what we have now. For some, being told on so many levels that they are not important can only go on for so long before something snaps. We see it in the inner cities with so many murders, and we see it with mass shootings. Fox had Huckabee on yesterday, and he commented on the lack of spiritual involvement and the lack of father figures in the lives of these people who kill having an affect on our culture. This is true also.

do you recall when bully was president, he and the ACLU decided that a person in a mental hospital rights were being denied. So the bully decreed that all people in mental hospitals could be released, with the approval of the ACLU, and they were. onto the streets. Most had no place to live.
So of course bully and bully are going to bad mouth any of their decisions

When a society decides that some recent phenomenon must be eradicated and that the answer is to ban a technology has been common for well over a century, something is seriously wrong.
In this case there are several underlying falsehoods. But it matters not to the enemies of freedom.
I continue to be flabbergasted by how much the communists have told us about their intentions. It’s so profound it defies belief. On one hand they regularly paint people like me as bad, evil, crazy deplorable, a hater, a likely domestic terrorist, but I’m supposed to be accepting of laws that strip freedom away from people we think might do bad things because their SJW neighbor reports them to the police?

Whenever I hear my Democratic friends spew forth vs Trump and his tweets, his braggadocio, his occasional boorishness (and never ONCE note the positive things he has done to get the economy spinning, effect prison reform etc.) all I can think of is that instead they favored these absolute CROOKS, the Clintons, our version of Faulkner's Snopes clan, instead. They will vote for crooked Hillary (easily substantiated), smile at Bill no matter what (ah shucks--he barely KNEW Epsteine) and never question the amazing demise of the Clinton Foundation, and yet a man who is doing good in a loud self approving voice is the Devil. Proves again that bias trumps (no pun intended) i.q.

Slick tried that once and we put up with it for a few years but it won't happen again. He had enough trouble controlling his own weapon without being concerned with ours. They are NOT assault weapons they are defensive weapons and if anybody wants a demonstration they can come for mine.

Even if you think this is a good idea how could it be accomplished? There are literally millions of high capacity firearms currently owned by citizens. You can't put the genie back in the bottle. If my neighbors are armed, I want to be armed.

People who are not afraid of killing people, due to mental problems, will certainly not be afraid to keep, or obtain a gun. Guns would always be available to criminals. We can't even stop drugs and illegal immigrants from entering our country, so how would we stop guns?
It's already against the law to murder people, which doesn't stop the crazies, so why would they worry about a silly gun law?

What is the correlation between the numbers of mass shooting incidents since the forced closure of "mental" hospitals, hostels and similar facilities in the 70's and 80's for "politically correct" reasons proffered by the psychobabblers. Its correlation with homelessness of those suffering from mental conditions is undoubted: society previously looked to these places for their protection, treatment, welfare and housing, be it through self admission and referral by welfare officers or forced admission, after certification by doctors or the courts..
