No, the United States Doesn’t Lead
the World in Mass Shootings

Original Article

As expected, Democrats immediately began politicizing the shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio. Quite a few of them even blamed Trump. Like clockwork, calls for more gun control have commenced. Democrats are even trying to pressure Mitch McConnell to cancel the Senate recess so they can vote on gun control. A common myth you can expect to hear a lot in the coming days and weeks is that the United States “leads the world in mass shootings” and therefore we must pass some law that will do nothing to stop future mass shootings, but will infringe on the rights of law-abiding gun owners. What you might not hear

Allegedly, the US has had 250 mass shootings since the beginning of this year. What they don't tell you is that most of these were in Chicago.

One clearly faked, intentionally misleading "study" and the Enemedia quote it forever. More complete, more accurate studies which show the USA at 62nd place in this listing, behind four European countries is totally ignored by the Enemedia. Another example why they are the Enemedia, not 'the media'.

This illustrates the MASSIVE dishonesty in "academic" research. What this guy, that claimed we lead in mass shootings, did was not science. These people make a living, funded by the government, faking up data and conclusions. One of the tell tale signs of this is the refusal to share methodology and data openly. We should pass a law that precludes any public funding or action for anything based on research that hasn't been opened to public review and has not been peer reviewed. Everything else should be viewed with great suspicion and doubt. There is a broadly acknowledged scientific method. We must INSIST it be followed.

Imagine if Democratic leaders Speaker Nancy Pelosi or Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer were viciously assaulted and Republican politicians behaved as though they deserved it, citing everything from their positions on abortion to healthcare. Democrats would be outraged, and rightfully so. When Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky announced Monday that he had surgery over the weekend to remove part of his lung, a result of his 2017 assault from his neighbor, many wished him a speedy recovery. And many didn’t. “I cannot in any way shape or form … feel any sympathy for you,” wrote “Spring” on Twitter, sympathizing with Paul’s neighbor. That tweet had 112 likes

Paul has noted the comments that President Trump made on the weekend’s two mass shootings this morning. His post embeds a video of the president’s speech, which is 10 minutes long. I recommend that you watch it. It was thoughtful, measured, and, in my opinion, struck all the right notes. It consisted in large part of denunciations of the murderers and sympathy for their victims. Beyond that, Trump’s comments were notable in several ways. First, Trump attacked white supremacism without noting that socialism, the doctrine of the Ohio murderer, was equally fatal in this case. That was probably sound from a political standpoint, and perhaps manifests

An Arab sheikh tried to enlist his American security staffer to murder two people and ordered him to hold another American captive, according to a new lawsuit filed in federal court. A second plaintiff in the lawsuit makes similar allegations, saying he served as the sheikh’s around-the-clock medic to monitor his vitals during 36-hour long benders and that he was held captive in a compound, threatened with a gun and ultimately jumped from an 18-foot wall to escape. Sheikh Khalid Bin Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, the brother of the ruler of the oil-rich nation of Qatar, is the target of the lawsuit, which was filed July 23

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said on Monday that he will introduce bipartisan legislation encouraging states to create "red flag" laws and that President Trump is "very supportive" of the idea. Graham, in a statement, said he has reached a deal with Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) on a bill that would start a federal grant program to help and encourage states to create " 'red flag' protection order" laws, which are meant to make it easier for law enforcement to identify mentally ill people who should be banned from purchasing guns. “These grants

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, never said there were "fine" Nazis or Ku Klux Klansmen. This is one of the two great lies of our time -- the other being that all Trump supporters are racists -- and perhaps in all of American history. I cannot think of a lie of such significance that was held as truth by so many Americans, by every leading politician of one of the two major political parties and disseminated by virtually the entire media. The major news media need to understand these are important reasons that half of America considers them frauds. And we get no pleasure from this fact.

A New York Times headline about President Trump’s remarks on the recent mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton drew condemnation online-- including some Democratic presidential candidates-- and was subsequently changed online late Monday. The newspaper summarized Trump’s comments, in which he denounced hate and white supremacy, with the headline “Trump Urges Unity vs. Racism” on the front page of its first edition. A photograph of Tuesday’s first edition was tweeted out by journalist Nate Silver Monday night and was quickly slammed by critics who accused The Gray Lady of inaccurately representing Trump’s comments.

El Paso, Texas, Mayor Dee Margo told reporters on Monday that President Trump will visit the city on Wednesday, even as several prominent Democrats indirectly blamed the president for Saturday's mass shooting there -- with some warning him, in frank terms, to stay away. News of Trump's planned appearance teed up a potentially bitter national political moment just four days after suspected gunman Patrick Crusius, 21, allegedly opened fire at a Walmart and killed 22 people while injuring more than two dozen others. "He is president of the United States," Margo, a Republican, told reporters. "So in that capacity, I will fulfill my obligations as mayor of El Paso,

You look at the Democratic debaters and you despair. It’s a hackneyed collection of motley mediocrities that includes, among other things, an unrepentant crusty commie, an ersatz squaw, a golddigging narc, a handsy grandpa, a furry, and a New Age weirdo who unironically channels Oddball from Kelly’s Heroes. To quote the gender fluidity pioneers of Twisted Sister, America, if that’s your best, your best won’t do. Now, we’re supposed to ignore their undeniable lousiness because we’re in a crisis. Former CIA employee Valerie Plame, who became mired in controversy after tweeting out an anti-Semitic article, has received campaign donations from notable Hollywood figures and a prominent Holocaust denier. Plame's Hollywood supporters include actors Bryan Cranston, Naomi Watts, and Michael Douglas, producers Doug Liman and Jonathan Nolan, and billionaire Lynda Resnick. Watts played Plame in the 2010 film Fair Game based on Plame's career at the CIA. Liman directed the film, which struggled at the box office. The donations came despite Plame's attacks on American Jews. She resigned from the Ploughshares Fund board in 2017 after tweeting an article titled "America's Jews Are Driving America's Wars,"

One of the enduring myths told by Democrats about the 2016 campaign is that President Obama was ready to issue a stern warning to the American people about Russian meddling that would have changed the course of the election but that he was thwarted by Mitch McConnell. This is self-serving nonsense, and the closer you look at the evidence, the weaker it becomes. Democrats and liberals have lately been campaigning to delegitimize McConnell by claiming that he is, in the words of Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank, “a Russian asset.” Julián Castro, a supposedly serious presidential candidate, called him “Moscow Mitch” in Wednesday night’s debate — a faux-Trumpian nickname

How bad is it? A tragic paradox is on display in Los Angeles and San Francisco: Their economies are vibrant, and legions of wealthy young professionals spend small fortunes on food, cars, and other consumer goods. Yet in some neighborhoods, people live as if in Third World slums. In L.A., tent cities line freeway underpasses, armies of rats stoke fears of disease, and thousands of homeless people share a dozen toilets. In San Francisco, drug needles and garbage line the streets, and the city employs four full-time workers to sweep up feces. Throughout the nation, according to the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the homeless population

Legan killed three people and injured 13 others July 28 at a California food festival before killing himself. Crusius killed 20 people and injured 26 more Saturday in El Paso, Texas, before surrendering to police. Betts killed 9 people and injured 20 others in the wee hours of Sunday morning in Dayton, Ohio, before he was shot to death by police. People must switch from meat-heavy Western diets to vegetarian or vegan diets to avert climate change, a United Nations-backed report has warned. By 2050, the world will need to produce 56% more food than in 2010, to feed a predicted 9.8 billion people. If the level of meat and dairy consumption rises in line with current trends, 2.3 million square miles of forest will need to be converted for agriculture. Our system of producing food already accounts for between 25-30% of greenhouse gases, the UN’s Creating a Sustainable Food Future report warned. John Solomon recently broke the news that former FBI director James Comey will soon face a “reckoning” for leaking memos of his conversations with the president. Solomon means Comey will be embarrassed by an imminent inspector general report containing stern language. Solomon does not mean that Comey will face any legal consequences, however, because “prosecutors working for Attorney General William Barr reportedly have decided to decline prosecution.” Many recognize Comey as a central figure in the Russia collusion hoax, the U.S. Department of Justice’s interference in the 2016 election, and subsequent resistance to the transfer of power to President Trump. It’s frustrating for knowledgeable observers to see Comey’s elite status
