The Mexican government on Sunday threatened legal action against the United States for its response to Saturday's mass shooting at Walmart in El Paso, Texas that left 20 people dead, including six Mexican nationals.
Mexico's Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard made the announcement in a video posted to Twitter, in which he expressed indignation for the mass shooting at the Cielo Vista Mall.
"The president of the Republic has instructed me so that this posture and indignation from Mexico is translated, first in protecting affected families, and then in legal actions, efficient and prompt, quick and convincing so that Mexico can demand the conditions to protect to the Mexican-American

The U.S. will countersue for all the deaths by illegals. We will see how it all comes out.

Do tell, Mr. bad translator; in what court? And, do us a favor and come and get your "citizens living in the United States." Then you won't have to worry about anything happening to your diplomats living here.

What do you hope to accomplish? Or is Mexico just looking for an opportunity to run down the United States? Pathetic.

Well, Mr. Ebrard- why don't you keep your citizens in Mexico to do their shopping. Having lived in a border town, I saw how Mexicans go shopping: trash everywhere, open spray cans and then spray it on the floor to confirm the color, etc.

If they hadn't been here illegally, they would be so safe in their home country.
Give the word, we will load them up and you can greet them at the border.

I’m sure this grandstanding is for public consumption in Mexico. Nothing will happen.

Murdered Americans in Mexico rarely make the front pages, they simply disappear. In this case all Mexico has to do is forbid their people from crossing the border into America and especially avoid shopping in Walmart. They can buy their rice and beans safely in Renosa.

Simple solution: The USA has a Second Amendment so we won't be throwing rocks if our government turns into Cuba or Venezuela... or run by drug cartels like Mexico. If any illegal doesn't like it, they can leave.
On a side note, if some of the dead "Mexicans" were actually USA citizens, what's that got to do with being Mexico's business? If the other 3 were here illegally, then Mexico needs to do a better job of protecting them so they don't run away.

Do the Mexicans want a decrease the number of American tourists in Mexico? What percentage of the population survives on tourism?
Let's see...my BIL broke his arm in Mexico. My SIL was sick because she was giving food that was cooked in red wine after she told them that she did not want red wine. How many other people have similar issues?

Does this mean the US can counter sue Mexico for all of the murders their citizens have committed while here illegally?

Well said, #17, and completely true. This is the other part of the invasion from south of the border....they are coming from countries that have no real rule of law and theft and dishonesty are a way of life.

When is the Mexican "Government" going to provide anything that resembles security to American citizens? That government´s record in provoding anyone with security over recent decades has been atrocious.
There are dozens and dozens of No-Go zones throughout Mexico where the U.S. State Department names specific dangers, murderous stretches of highways, and entire cities where no sensible person would tread (think Acapulco).
