Democratic presidential candidates expressed outrage Saturday that mass shootings have become chillingly common nationwide and blamed the National Rifle Association and its congressional allies after a gunman opened fire at a shopping area near the Texas-Mexico border.
“It’s not just today, it has happened several times this week. It’s happened here in Las Vegas where some lunatic killed 50 some odd people,” Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders said as he and 18 other White House hopefuls were in Nevada to address the nation’s largest public employees union. “All over the world, people are looking at the United States and wondering what is going on? The NRA is in disarray and their supporters have been leaving in droves. Now the liberals will claim credit for defections that started months ago.

IT isn't the NRS it is as ole socialist Bernie said: “It’s not just today, it has happened several times this week. It’s happened here in Las Vegas where some lunatic killed 50 some odd people,” Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders said.
It is the lunatics, the crazies, we need lunatic control not gun control. Also the democrats need to also look at their rhetoric, according to them nothing is good everything is bad, so their the sky is falling rhetoric could be setting off those people that are clearly not playing with a full deck, they have no filter nor control.

No, it is called FREEDOM. And sometimes, evil people take advantage of freedom to do bad things. It does not mean that freedom is bad,it means that a few individuals are bad.
Drop dead Dems and other gun control totalitarians.

We have lost 2 generations or more who are totally materialistic, look to the government for solutions and have no respect for life. There is no higher Power in their lives. They have been told it is always somebody else's fault & that their self-esteem needs to be coddled. At the same time they are told that white men are either useless or predators. And that women are always victims. So what do the boys & girls do? They will vent their anger. They hurt themselves with drugs & cutting. They complain and attack each other online. If they really get upset then they go on a mission to show that they are somebody. If they don't have guns, they use knives. If not with knives, they use broken bottles or Molotov cocktails. Or they will use cars as deadly weapons - like the woman who went the wrong way down I-75 on St. Patrick's Day (in Dayton) and accelerated into an SUV carrying a family. God help us. We must encourage everyone to look to Him for guidance & a true refuge.

They want to take guns away from the 99+% of responsible gun owners, so they think/hope it will stop the less-than-1% of the criminal/mentally unbalanced/hateful gun possessors. What shallow thinking. The main problem is the degrading of our culture/family life, causing bad behavior. And the left is a big cause of that.

How many White people as compared to non-White people have been killed by mass murderers?
How many White People as compared to non-White people have been killed in just regular old murders (as in Chicago and Baltimore)?
Can we classify the mass murderers by euphemistic color* and by political philosophy?
* Caucasians range in color from red-headed Irish to Dravidians. On the other hand, any "White" person with the legendary "One Drop" of "Black" blood is "Black." And as you may have noticed, no one, especially Albinos, is truly white or black ... or red ... or yellow. Brown now, everybody is brown. Except the Albinos, they're pink.

I don't think we should ignore the possibility that the anti-gun forces are facilitating some of these shootings to further their agenda. Before you poo-poo this, remember Obama and Holder supplied guns to Mexico to 'prove' that gangs were getting guns from the US.
A number of gun grabbing groups have the money and wherewithal (with help from Commiecrats) to supply and encourage disturbed people.

Murder is against the law. These perps have no problem breaking that law, so what makes these stupid socialists think any of these brain damaged haters would obey another stinkin' gun law?

That's what happens when society de-values human life, i.e. abortions, and now advocating abortions after birth (infanticide) is insane.
Society is getting what it sows.

Bernie, the leftist school system taught the shooter to hate himself and his country. Now, it looks like he rebelled against it. Certainly in the wrong way, and against the wrong people.

Either one of these events is no more than a bad weekend in Chicago. Actually if you just combine Chicago, Baltimore, Philly, and DC it's pretty much ANY weekend. Not a lot of scary white supremacist involved there so media seems to not particularly GAS. That must be due to media racism I guess.

If they want someone to blame, they can start with Hollywood and their glorification of a culture of violence. If you don't believe that, then you haven't seen movies like John Wick 3.

Actually, #1, you are very wrong. People have NOT been leaving the NRA "in droves", total baloney.
There are financial questions about NRA funds, yes, and we DO need to get to the bottom of that. But, in the short run, it has not affected anything much.

Go ahead...blame. The NRA is totally benign. Hell, I have been a member for decades and the ONLY THING I get from them is requests for more money. Nothing else...so go ahead, blame the lame.
And yes, I will be one of those leaving the NRA.

I am not a card carrying member of the NRA, never have and probably never will either. I realize they do good things, but I have a far higher power at my disposal called the U.S. Constitution. I don't need any group to tell me what to do or when to do it. This nation was founded on guns, as no other country ever before. Guns are in our DNA and will never be removed. If they come for them then it is time to make them work to get them. Blaming the NRA is just another ruse used by the Demonrats to take down a conservative lobbying organization worth hundreds of millions of dollars. It would be like conservative groups targeting the "Trial Lawyers Association," as they''re by far biggest lobby in the nation, and leftist to the core. They make a mockery of normal jurisprudence, and drive the costs of everything sky high. That group has done more damage than hundreds of "El Paso shooters," yet nothing is said.

Sad to hear that, #20.
Why would you do that when we need to pull together? What do you expect to get from the NRA? You get your magazine, full of information on gun rights, and if you live in a state with critical elections, you will get voting recommendation postcards. Of course, if you live in a state where the elections are all being won easily by people who are strong on gun right, no voting postcards.

The wacky dem pols need to stop blaming totally innocent Americans, their churches & synagogues, civic organizations and etc., for the actions of murder and mayhem by the criminal perps themselves!!! In America, we are each individually responsible for the choices we make! American Law does not broadbrush but instead holds the individual perps accountable for crimes they commit! However the dem pols have gotten into this unAmerican habit of irresponsibly and irrationally accusing their political adversaries and their organizations for crimes which they had NOTHING TO DO WITH, ...crimes committed by the personal choices of other individuals, some of whom may actually have mental illness, are filled with rage, or etc, to be decided in court. Thinking people are sick of the dems', 'clockwork, 'wind-'em up & send them out to a camera,' predictable ranting pols & their media blaming the innocent whenever a perp causes tragedy!
Dem pols have no shame, no respect
