Two Chicago mothers who worked to tackle crime and violence in their neighborhood were fatally gunned down in a drive-by shooting last week. Chantell Grant, 26, and Andrea Stoudemire, 36, who volunteered with Mothers/Men Against Senseless Killings (MASK), were shot in the city's Auburn Gresham neighborhood on July 26, the organization said in a Facebook post.
The women were standing at the corner of West 75th Street and South Stewart Avenue, an area that is often occupied by members of MASK to check on children.(Snip) A 58-year-old man also sustained minor injuries after he fell to the ground,

So why are there gangs in Chicago? Wouldn't have anything to do with drugs would it? Maybe if Chicago addressed its drug problem, gangs might now be as prevalent. Nah, blame guns and pass even more gun laws. That will keep criminals from obtaining and using guns.

Blacks are victims, and as such, cannot be held accountable for their actions. The blame must be placed elsewhere. If Italian immigrants had been granted the same status, the Capone Family would still control Chicago. As it stands now, any accountability or punishment is deemed a racial attack on these poor "victims".

Be on the lookout!
Keep your eyes peeled for "teens" and/or "youths" who are suspected of committing these murders.
Your vigilance is greatly appreciated. Over and out.

The message to this community is that if you stand up to violence you get killed. God bless these woman who tried, hopefully more will follow and if they join forces in support of the police they may win back their streets.

Obviously, Chicago needs more federal grant money, like Baltimore, to fix the problem. However, Baltimore did not say WHEN they would fix their problem. No need to hurry, as long as the feds keep pumping money to the corrupt politicians!

Simply horrible. Tell me again about the "epidemic" of police officers killing innocent Black people.
Something that really struck me was the place where this happened, 75th and Stewart. My Irish immigrant grandparents bought a beautiful brick home on that corner. My Dad grew up there and, when my Grandmother sold it, she had lived there for fifty years. I only remember a few visits for family events when I was little. It hasn't been safe to go down there since the mid-sixties.

#2, Jesse Jackson had his Rainbow Coalition in Chicago, and I can not recall one single incident he helped solve, or resolve.
He did find a way to make a lot of money parachuting into once issue or another, but never stuck around to work on getting things fixed.
Sadly, I believe many of the major cities who have been run by Democrats for the last 50 years have simply contained the issues, and allowed certain sections of their city to just be, so long as it was contained in a small section and didn't bother the rest of the city.
I say this because I recall a speech by Obama where he used the term contain when referencing inner-city problems, and I doubt he used that term by accident.

A perfect opportunity for the president to start an Urban Rescue agenda. Chicago, Baltimore, SF, LA, Detroit: all case studies in Democrat failure.

Eight children between them? Four children by the age of 26? And how many fathers did these eight children have? How many of these eight children were on public assistance? Who was watching these eight children while their mothers were “standing on a street corner”?
Inner-city black people will get nowhere until they clean up their act.

Their deaths once again prove what a democratic hell hole Chicago is! "The One" did not exactly do much for his fellow brethren, did he?? Other than wanting to build a huge nothing with taxpayer money to 'commemorate' himself for having been an undereducated. stupid moron! Hey, Cummings, I guess this is Trump's fault as well!! He should have built hotels for the poor!! Right!

Local news reported that women from this MASK group will continue to "occupy" that corner. No mention of members from Jesse's Rainbow/PUSH organization or Fr. Pflager and his followers joining the women.

I am beginning to wonder if Trump has been laying the groundwork for a full out assault on the Activist race hustlers who have created this community disaster for decades. One of the worst tragedies for the black community in this nation was the death of MLK. It allowed Sharpton and Jackson to move in and start exploitation of their own community for personal power and gain. Along with setting up the community organizers like Obama. I suspect Trump is laying the groundwork for exposure of just that scenario. Those folks need to wake up, and wake up soon. They have been exploited for long enough by the race hustlers.

Sorry, I do not trust hats-on-sideways black kids in droopy drawers and tank tops. Guess that makes me a racist (most likely a still-living racist).

This is so horrible and distressing; tragic that murderers can't even respect women trying to do the right thing for their neighborhoods. It cannot get any lower than that.
Now, where are the husbands/fathers in all this?

This is a shame, but until the CPD gets really serious about black gangs, this carnage will continue.
The problem is at the top. Black leaders and white leaders, all leftists, who refuse to do what is necessary to stop the violent thugs.

Praying for these women and their families. Senseless violence by individuals who feel hopeless due to living in the one party city of Chicago.

You know what #17, I don't trust any "teen" with the sideways hat or hoodie while it's 85 F outside and pants down to their knees. Darned straight I profile.
My father-in-law didn't move his family out of the West side of Chicago because different looking people were moving in, he moved because his children were getting beaten up and bloodied.

Beg to differ, #19. The black community exists under the rule “Snitches get Stitches”. How are the police supposed to arrest the murderers when no one will give them any information or identify them? Until blacks change their own culture, nothing will improve.

Why didn't this get the same coverage as the Gilroy Garlic Festival shootings?
Because it didn't fit The Narrative. The perp was not a young white guy. The weapon was not an "assault rifle." And the victims, though they get some sympathy for being moms with a cause, don't get Full Victim status because, well, there are just too many drive-by shootings in Chicago, and the Democrat/media complex doesn't want to have to admit it.

There will never be a better time to commence the paradigm shift in perception that white and black liberal politicians, and race hustlers like reverends Al and Jesse, care about inner city minorities. They don't.
Elijah Cummings has handed President Trump a once in a generation chance to lift inner city folks out of poverty and into good homes and schools.
President Trump is a marketing expert who understands branding. He's about to prove that he really cares about uplifting the lives of city folks.
Elijah wouldn't show up for a presser in Baltimore today with Ben Carson, the HUD secretary. Bad optics for him, but not for the president.
The winning has started.

When blacks are accountable just like whites, you might see something get better. Blacks have a lot of rules. Police are bad. Don't want any white people in their ghetto. You owe us. Send more money. Don't interrupt the drug deal.
Chicago has had gun control since about 1980. Shouldn't they be an example of why gun control does not work?

The Chicago cops need to be backed up by the lawyers in the city Attorney's Office, the judges hearing the cases, the Chicago media, and the whole city Administration, right up to the Mayor. Without support, the cops can do little or nothing.
The 'Rats were the party of Slavery, then after the Civil War, they were the party of the KKK and segregation and Jim Crow. The 1964 Civil Rights Act would have been the 1956 Civil Rights Act if the Democrats had not opposed it.
When Lyin' Lyndon Johnson came into the Oval Office, he had the Democrats switch tactics. The blacks at that time had stronger families than the whites and, although poorer, were gaining wealth faster than the whites, so the 'Rats came up with the 'Free Stuff' so-called 'Great Society' agenda. Women with kids could get Free Stuff......UNLESS there was a MAN in the household. The Federal government under the 'Rats oversaw the breakup of the Black families on an industrial scale..... all so they could get Free Stuff. It's despicable the way the (both News and Entertainment) Media portrays broken families or no families, as desirable, and beats down Families. The people I know- both Black and White, who have STRONG FAMILIES are doing well. Divorce, and no DAD in the household, all too often makes for poverty, with unsupervised, unguided children and teenagers, and trouble often follows. A strong FAMILY.... NOT a Government bureaucratic so-called 'Village' is needed to raise decent, strong, honest kids for the next generation.
Good education is also necessary...... Recent news articles stated that Baltimore had SIX High schools where NOT ONE STUDENT was 'competent' in either Reading OR Math....... but the parent(s) don't have the money to put their kids in a better school.
Not far away from Baltimore, Washington D.C. under the Bush administration started a School Vouchers program, where Parents could have some say in which school their children went to. When Obama came into office, one of the FIRST things he did was to END the School Vouchers program and force the lower-income students back into the failed D.C.Schools. So.... WHO cares about helping black children and families, and WHO are the ones working to keep them in poverty?

If, in fact, there were such a thing as "White Supremacists" they would man up, arm up and go downtown killing all the urban yoots they could find.
Doesn't happen because militant whites are a myth....a distraction....a red herring.
