Are Democrats really prepared to
defend failure?

Ask yourself honestly: Would you ever consider living in West Baltimore? And are you a racist if you say no? Baltimore ranks in the top 10 of the least livable cities in America. Until this week, it was not controversial to point that out. But now that President Donald Trump has tweeted about Baltimore, it seems as though anyone who criticizes the awful conditions there is opening themselves up to charges of prejudice. The flap began last week when Rep. Elijah Cummings, whose 7th district covers much of Baltimore City, lashed out at acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan

In just a few days The Donald has managed to force the Democrats to defend:
Garbage piles in streets
Yersinia Pestis (bubonic plague)
Rats as big as dogs and cats
Bed Bugs
Drive by shootings
Mass murder
Riots
Widespread Arson in residential areas
and a whole host of other URBAN PUBLIC HEALTH failures.

Trump is right about Baltimore. There are a few islands where civilization holds on like Johns Hopkins Hospital, the Inner Harbor and a couple of college campuses, but the rest of the city is downright dangerous with waves of homeless approaching cars at intersections which I experienced near the UM Medical School. Where does the money go?

Of course they are prepared to defend it. The Dims have been feeding their constituents crap sandwiches while calling it fillet mignon for decades. Why should they do anything different, now?

So the stupid constituents of Cummings district keep re-electing him and the same corrupt and/or incompetent Mayors, city council, etc and the problems only get worse DECADE after Decade and I am suppose to care why? And now the Mayor is saying it's Trump's fault and send more tax dollars. It's always gimme gimme. It's always not my fault. Let the rats takeover.

Don't forget the orders to 'stand down' and let the rioters have the opportunity to vent/steal/burn/mug/kill/etc.
Creativity will solve the problems, money will not.

Are you kidding me? Defending failure is what democrats are all about. If it was not for failure the party would not exist. Look what they did for Barack Obama and Michelle, the greatest couple to ever grace the White House and set a record national debt with exactly nothing to show for it, except Obamacare, which persists like a flesh-eating bacteria. Then there's the Great Society, the biggest boondoggle since - ever. It's still draining taxpayers. How about the Big Dig in Boston? Then there was Katrina, then...

And, it's not just Baltimore, but many other cities should be asking the same questions.
What are they doing for US? Here, in our district?
After all, All Politics is Local, right?

Obviously, Cummings doesn’t know that if you have skeletons in your closet, you might want to keep a low profile.

And this is the level of articles that is accepted here? Tell you what champ go look at Jacksonville, Fort Worth, El Paso, San Diego, Ok City, Fresno, Omaha, Wichita.... all at the bottom of the list in terms of crime rates and several in serious financial difficulties. And here's a history lesson, go do some homework regarding the impact of white flight on northern cities and why southern cities made a point of extending their tax boundaries to engulf the suburbs. And by the way the top two cities in terms of places to live, Denver CO and Austin TX, both have democrat mayors. So either do some homework or as your grandfather would have suggested... put your brain in gear before opening your mouth.

Once again, the President is exactly, factually, provably correct and yet the Dems and the Enemedia are screaming 'racist' for the crime of noticing that Congressman Cummings' district has some serious problems with poverty, rats, garbage and poor services.
How about working to change it, and not 'shooting the messenger'?

Trump is right about Baltimore, but Cummings is a very small part of the problem (though not blameless). It's the local government (Democrat of course) that has turned huge parts of the city into Third World level hellholes.

Picking up the garbage, eradicating all the vermin, erecting new apartments and the like will not be enough once the social fabric has deteriorated to this extent.
A society is orderly and conducive to a life of hope depends on the enforcement of good laws which keep most of the citizens safe and swiftly punish those who cause violence and disorder. If you have safe streets, ergo communities, then you will have more businesses interested in moving BACK INTO these urban areas. You must teach children to respect police, and their parents, which includes teachers and other adults.
You need good schools. But children need to get to and from school safely. Teachers must be able to teach in an orderly classroom and campus.
Children need to gain the basics in order to function and then thrive in society; some may work to get to college; some will learn skills which will help to rebuild their communities. If they feel accomplishments based on hard work (reading, writing and arithmetic), their sense of self-worth will grow and so will their respect for one another.
But it all starts with respect for authority.
Things as they are, it's pretty hard to feel optimistic. An awful lot of people have generations of anti-social behavioral habits and laziness borne of hopelessness.
And I blame the corrupt, venal politicians who promise to change things, then lie further, rouse resentments and hate, and stuff their pockets with fithy lucre.

Democrats ARE failures. That's why they use socialism to control everything. They destroy everything they touch. Killers.
