Feuding House Democrats Nancy Pelosi and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, having been driven into each other's unloving arms by President Trump's tweets, held a sitdown, kind of the way mobsters do, presumably to persuade those of us on the outside that all's well between them, and above all, to get Trump to stop tweeting about them. Both are machine pols, after all, and rival machine pols aren't that different from rival mafia families. They have common interests and common enemies, after all.

After careful consideration I would have to say President Trump won.

"THE Band" comes to mind, and I may misquote slightly,
Way down yonder, peace in the valley
Go downtown gotta rumble in the alley
Ooooh you don't know the shape I'm in ...

Pretty clear that 0crazio Cortez won. She announced that Pelosi now respects that the party is unifying, meaning that they’re unifying behind 0crazio, and Pelosi has not responded to that.

I would hate to be "the staff" when Pelosi gets home from work.

It’s my guess that Moms Pelosi let AOC think she’d won...

If this is the Mafia then AOC is Fredo, the slow brother. Chakrabarti should have been in the meeting because he is the twisted brain guiding her.

Any time you punch above your weight and come out equal, it's a win. AOC clearly comes out on top here. She has her eye on Pelosi's job, and Pelosi knows it's just a matter of time.

I would say that neither one of them “won”. But I do believe that the Democrat Party lost.

Nope, Pelosi won but she is letting AOC think she won. Pelosi will deny her campaign funds and may even have her primaried. Nancy is losing touch but I bet she can pull it together long enough to take AOC down. This involves more than these two people. There's going to be a war in the Democrat party. I'm hoping it is savage and bloody. I don't see AOC in office in two years.

It doesn’t matter; they will be at each other’s throats again soon.

I was thinking pretty much the same thing as the OP. Maybe they both can lose.

These 2 will always be bitter enemies because Nancy has what AOC wants.
The Power of the House.
Which is why it's in AOC interests for dem to lose the House in 2020.
Why?
Because most,if not all,the fatalities will be the moderates which would leave more power with her kind.
Thus she can use the smaller, but more radical, members to oust Nancy & the old guard to take power with the belief she can lead dem to victory in 2022 & thus become Speaker.
Crazy?
It's an old story.
Stay tuned.

#14 Do you think that AOC is that much of a chess player? I doubt she knows how to play checkers.
Right now she has won Go To The Head Of The Class even tho she ends up in the dunce corner frequently.

Between Nasty Nancy and Edith Ann, I am betting the mob boss won.

I believe the meeting was for show. They both want the same thing but the question is how to go about it. Piglousi wants to be stealth; AOC wants to be open about it. I despise both of them and consider both to be subversive and worthless representatives for the country.
