Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell’s long march towards remaking the federal judiciary is moving along.
Just this week, the Third Circuit “flipped” to majority Republican-appointees, the Second Circuit is on the brink of flipping, and several other evenly split Circuits are likely to go Republican.
Ed Whelan summarizes:
As anticipated last fall when Judge Thomas Vanaskie announced his decision to take senior status, the Senate’s confirmation earlier this week of Peter Phipps to Vanaskie’s vacancy means that the Third Circuit will have a majority of its judges in active service—eight of fourteen—who were appointed by Republican presidents.
At the outset

This is the way it is supposed to work. The majority of Americans have voted for a President whose job is to appoint men and women to the federal judiciary. Clearly, Americans do not want the judicial activism we have seen from the bench these past years. They prefer that the Constitution be the basis for their decisions, not some radical left wing ideology. Keep them coming. We have a long way to go to ensure that our laws are interpreted and not made from whole cloth by judges sitting on the bench.

FTA: 'As pointed out here repeatedly since Trump’s inauguration, Democrats have been so focused on impeaching, attacking and maligning Trump, that they have not really appreciated what is happening: Trump has the opportunity to reshape the federal judiciary at every level.'
Just one reason why President Trump keeps the Left's focus on attacking him. Genius!

This is PDT taking the left’s MO and using it against them. They have been stacking the courts for decades because they can’t win at the ballot box. PDT is remaking the courts to keep the left from destroying the country.
#2 is right. I’ve posted here many times that I love PDT’s tweets because they keep the left focused for days or weeks on the tweets and not on what he is quietly doing behind the scenes - which is fulfilling his campaign promises. It will be interesting to find out what he has been doing during the uproar over the Jihad Squad tweets.

Unfortunately, as they said in the Article, appointing a Conservative Judge doesn't always mean they will STAY Conservative. We've seen this over and over, especially with Judge John Roberts! We need one more Supreme Court Judge appointed. That said, I think McConnell and Trump have been doing a Stellar Job appointing Judges. Keep up the good work!

Taking the country back to the way it is supposed to be, on legal opinion at a time.
This is WONDERFUL news.

"Republican-appointee does not equal conservative, and conservative at the start does not mean conservative forever."
This simply means that just tipping the balance does not mean the job is done. It means we need to reelect Trump to continue appointing good judges until we have a strong Conservative majority. Then if a few go wobbly, we are still OK.
This judicial truth is only a part of Trump's overall success. He is also eliminating regulations and cleaning up agencies. He is making major policy changes. The Left is screaming about absurdities and making ridiculous plans for open borders, and "free stuff" for all that will actually cost tens of trillions and savage the middle class to pay for it. After Trump's second term, the Left is going to look around in surprise to see that government has undergone a seismic shift that they weren't even aware of because Trump's tweets kept them too distracted to notice.
Some Leftists, like in this article, see things happening but the dem party as a whole doesn't have the brains to focus on such things. They are emotionally driven and it's hard to maintain emotion over numerous judicial picks.

I look up regularly confirmed judicial nominations at Senate Judiciary Committee. In July we had 6 new judges so far. In June 10 or 11. Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham and President Trump are working for US. Promises made, promises kept.

And if I were PDJT, my "phase 2" in my second term, after Republicans recapture the House and expand their control in the Senate, would be to begin initiating impeachment proceedings to remove the liberal District Court judges, many of them Obama appointees, who have issued legally indefensible injunctions against Trump administration policies and actions. Judges are supposed to rule on the law, like it or not, and when they don't they should be removed.

This is really good news. Let's hope there are few like Stevens and Souter.
It already looks like Roberts is a typical Bush appointee, an apparent conservative who turns traitor after a while.

Now if only we could get congress to impeach those Obama judges who are ruling not on law, but rhetoric and their personal feelz. We were not designed for an activist judiciary, we were designed for one that follows something called THE LAW. and the constitution of cours.

Unfortunately - - being "appointed by Republicans" still mostly means appointed by someone named Bush.
So there is no guarantee that those "Republican" judges will adhere to the Constitution - - instead of to world globalism.
When the vast majority has been appointed by Trump and Jordan - - then we can begin to celebrate.
