"All you need to do is hear what the President did this week to know this is not about immigration at all. Because once you start telling American citizens to quote 'go back to your own countries,' this tells you that this President's policies are not about immigration, it's about ethnicity and racism," Ocasio-Cortez said during a town hall on immigration held in her district in Queens, New York, in reference to Trump's tweeted racist attacks at her and three other minority congresswomen known as "The Squad."
Her remarks are nonsense. Is she trying to tell us that were the border surgers pouring over the border without papers Caucasian,

The Legislative Branch makes the law, the Executive Branch enforces those laws. Perhaps she should read up US Immigration Law.

With all these younger people feeling Socialism is so wonderful, and the U.S. is the root of all evil, I'm thinking that maybe abortion wasn't advocated enough over the last thirty years.

Listening to conversations on the internet by those who do not want a secure southern border, it strikes me that there is a pretty strong argument that the case for open borders does have something to do with racism. I've heard more than one person arguing for open borders who seem to have a general dislike for anyone who is not of the brown or black race, and so they think that the rule of law at our borders is somehow discriminatory, when that is not the case at all. I taught in a place where as a Caucasian I was in the minority, and I never knew anything but mutual respect. Unless you are ignorant, racism isn't a problem in America. And as I have said before, I am a first-generation American. Both of my parents were legal immigrants and I grew up in a neighborhood where the neighbors next door came from Ireland, the neighbor on the other side's father came from Italy. I had a friend two houses down whose parents came from Pennsylvania but her parents spoke Polish so their parents must have come from Europe. So the ethnicity thing falls flat as well. The USA used to be a melting pot AND a country of laws, and when you stop following the rule of law, you end up with anarchy.
Maybe one of the reasons the President loves his country is because he is also a child of an immigrant, his mother, and his wife is also a naturalized citizen, and you learn from them what a privilege it is be an American. I never heard my parents say anything negative about our country in my whole life.

There are large numbers of Irish and Russians in Boston and Brighton Beach that overstayed visas, with no intention of ever leaving. That "illegal immigration" gets a blind eye. In that AOC is exactly right.

Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez is a socialist, so it is easy to see where she is coming from when she demands that the customs and immigration enforcement agencies be abolished, that the borderline is racist and must be abolished, and unlimited millions of foreigners, most of them poor, uneducated, and socialist oriented people from underdeveloped, and undeveloped countries be allowed to enter the USA. The vast majority of them upon gaining entry to the USA under the leftist and liberal Democrat socialist based political philosophy would be considered a member of a favored minority group that would fit within a Democrat identity based political constituency, eventually emerging as natural Democrat socialist voters in numbers great enough to overwhelm the current “Deplorable” Republican vote, resulting in the Democrats attaining, and remaining in dominant permanent political power throughout the USA, thus being able to reach the Democrat socialist dream of transforming the USA into a socialist utopia.
Since the Democrat socialist political agenda, as annunciated by Ocasio-Cortez-Cortez and other Democrat socialist politicians is not popular with a big majority of Americans who will actually vote in presidential and congressional elections, the Democrat socialists know that to succeed in turning the USA into a socialist utopia that they must first change the voter demographics in enough of the country to favor them and make it possible for them to permanently win future presidential and congressional elections. To accomplish that the Democrat socialists must first change the demographics of the country into a new dynamic where a coalition of Democrat aligned ethnic and racial minority based population groups are enlarged to turn the USA effectively into a minority-majority country. To do that the population of the USA must be greatly enlarged through mass uncontrolled illegal immigration, and is why the Democrats have been defending and supporting the entry to the USA of huge numbers of bogus asylum seekers, who are in reality economic migrants coming to take American jobs, and have created a legal pathway for unlimited numbers of such migrants to gain entry to the USA, by placing “loopholes” in the asylum laws, that completely ignore all forms of asylum fraud that undermine reasonable and traditional immigration law enforcement protocols, and are now calling for unlimited numbers of foreign people, potentially in the tens or hundreds of millions, to be allowed into the USA to pursue initial borderline asylum claims that in the past have been denied in percentages as high as 93% as being bogus, fraudulent, or not meeting the minimum lawful requirements meriting a grant of asylum in the USA. Clearly the Democrat socialist political objective is simply to get as many illegal aliens into the USA as possible.

Actually, it is all about human trafficking, drug smuggling, organized crime, weapons smuggling, cartel violence, chronic poverty, and corrupt foreign governments profiting from all of the above. Now, for some strange reason we don't have any of those problems on the Canadian border...hmmmm?...now, why could that be? Talk amongst yourselves.

Why does this ignorant ditz of a bartender get so much press seemingly all day, every day?
Easy. She's controversial, glib, and a liberal.
Being stupid doesn't matter as long as the ratings are high and the ad revenue keeps pouring in.
It's all about the money ... again.

I hate to bore people, but I just thought of something else about the street where I grew up. There was a small Jewish synagogue catty-corner to our house. It had a hedge and lawn around the whole building and sometimes in the summertime we'd play tag and stuff around the building. And for some Jewish holidays I remember the boys on the street would turn the lights on for the rabbi. I never knew antisemitism. We just "all got along". We are so tired of the whole victimization thing. Everyone is just trying to do the best we can, and I know it was a different era. Maybe all kinds of media did not play such a prominent part in people's lives and so we were more independent thinkers.
