A female Border Patrol officer has gone viral — with social media users dubbing the woman #IceBae — on account of her dolled-up appearance.“Holy s–t…I think I’m coming down with a case of undocumentation,” wrote @VibeHi on Twitter, who was one of countless users to share the BPD agent’s photo on Monday, along with a video she posted. “#IceBae could detain me for however long she wants,” another said. The female officer was providing security for Vice President Mike Pence during his recent border visit

This doesn't sound very safe for her.

One of her tweets: "WOW I am in awe. Thank you all for the support! My job is so hectic at this moment but I am grateful. I love protecting my country! 🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️ And I love my supporters!"
How do we know she is a hero. The flack is heavy and vile. Hang in there Kiara.

#2, "flak" not "flack."
The first could hurt you; the second is just a pain in the posterior.

Looks that pleasing tend to be fleeting, and a mixed blessing in the meantime. I wouldn't turn to a life of crime just to have a chance to be detained by her; but I'd find it less tedious to see another pic or two of her than of the "Hot Felon" (a pic of whom kept showing up in the news a couple of years ago, after he got modeling gigs from a mug shot that went viral).

The article is wrong as this lady “who is taking social media by Storm” is not a member of the US Border Patrol, she is a Customs and Immigration Inspector. The Border Patrol and Customs and Immigration Inspectors stationed on the borderline have two different jobs. The Border Patrol’s mission is to patrol the borderline, between the official US Ports of Entry, to deter, catch, and arrest all sorts of smugglers bring contraband and illegal aliens unlawfully into the USA, along with anyone else, US citizens or aliens who gain unlawful entry to the USA without being inspected and admitted to the USA, by unlawfully crossing the borderline from Mexico at all points between the Ports Of Entry.
Customs and Immigration Inspectors staff the Ports of Entry along the borderline, and at airports and seaports. The job of a Customs and Immigration Inspector is to conduct Customs and Immigration inspections of all items and people arriving at the Ports of Entry destined for the USA. During those inspections the Customs and Immigration Inspector determines if all items being brought into the USA comport with the Customs laws, may levy Customs Duties on particular and seize all illegal contraband, most commonly illicit narcotics. Customs and Immigration Inspectors also conduct immigration inspections of all people coming through the Ports Of Entry to determine their alienage and nationality, and if they are aliens, to determine if they are admissible to the USA in accordance with the immigration laws. Following that inspection the aliens are either admitted to the USA, or are refused entry and are excluded from the USA.
By watching the video you can easily see the uniform differences between Border Patrol Agents and Customs and Immigration Inspectors. The officer wearing the green uniform taking to Vice-President Pence is a Border Patrol Agent. The female officer standing in front of them wearing the blue uniform is a Customs and Immigration Inspector.
The reason that Customs and Immigration Inspectors are currently present in that Border Patrol holding facility is to reinforce the Border Patrol Agents there on a temporary basis, because of the overwhelming number of intending illegal aliens being detained there, who have gained unlawful entry across the insecure borderline to make bogus asylum claims, that they believe will allow them a pathway into the interior of the USA, to hide out and await the next big amnesty program.

Thought Ice Bae was a deliberate misspelling of Ice Babe. Waiting to see if she gets fired or told to get off the internet.

I think she’s terrific! Very good-looking, and (as those who read the article will find out) she is smart, articulate, a patriotic American who withstands the flak and tells those firing it that she is proud to defend her country.
I don’t know her, but I really like her spirit. Too many women in law enforcement look like trannies….

If she's really a democrat, like it says under her picture, will her party publicly disown her for working for ICE? If she's really a democrat, can she be trusted to do her job?

So if "bae" ISN'T shorthand for "babe" (ref #6), then what is it, instead? Try plugging the translation into the statement using the term, and "babe" is the only translation that makes any sense here.
We can discuss what the "ice" part is meant to convey, though, as there are several plausible alternatives for it in her context. But the "bae" part is pretty clearly shorthand for "babe" or "baby".

Just plug any translation into the statements that use the term, and the other two possibilities that I've found (old urban shorthand for "before all else", or Dutch for "poop") don't make any sense.

She states facts but the columnist is wrong about her being a Border Patrol Agent as evidenced by her uniform.
