Comments:

Her qualifications: Loud, rude, obnoxious, purple hair, lots of same-sex partners, hates Trump, and can kick a ball. If you are a Democrat, that's as good as it gets.

So all of you wondering how the state could elect people as stupid as Inslee and Murray, the 'rats have rigged our elections. First, it's mail-in ballot only, so that way they can throw away most of the ballots marked for Republicans, and second, they passed a law that only the top two vote-getters in the primary can go on the ballot for the general election.

Remember that, as a liberal, you can be whatever you want to be. You don't have to prove anything or earn it, you only need to say it. Yes, say it. Joe Biden's anti-busing stance was a lot harsher than he's previously been willing to admit. The former vice president's opposition to federally mandated busing to integrate schools during his early senatorial career hit the mainstream in last month's Democratic primary debates, when Sen. That sparked the The New York Times' deep dive into "how Joe Biden became the Democrats' anti-busing crusader," which, published Monday, digs up a slew of anti-busing quotes from Biden's long political record. How does a boss manage a worker who believes their feelings trump reality, right down to the way she "feels" about her misspelled words? Gently. And probably badly, even though that's no fault of the boss in question. Carol Blymire -- a "communications and public policy executive, branding consultant, professor, writer" -- took to Twitter on Friday to tell the story she overheard of a young writer, probably "in her late 20s," going over edits with her boss. (Snip) What issue caused mentor and student such agitation and aggravation? Had the boss been needlessly cruel? Had the young writer pushed some radical agenda, and was refusing to tamp it down

Rep. Ilhan Omar fired a heated broadside at President Trump in the wake of his recent inflammatory tweets about the Minnesota Democrat and other progressive congresswomen. Speaking during a news conference alongside Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., and Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., Omar forcefully went after Trump. "This is a president who has ultimately violated the very value our country aspires to uphold," she said in the stunning attack. "To distract from that, he is launching a blatantly racist attack on four duly-elected members of the United States House of Representatives, all of whom are women of color.

I’m so old that I remember when George Will’s opinion mattered to Republicans. Apparently, the Bezos Bulletin scribe realizes he’s lost his influence on the Grand Old Party and now offers advice to the Democrats on their nominee, in hopes that someone out there still cares about his opinions. His disgust at President Trump – who has the support of roughly 90% of Republicans – is such that he has now taken to telling (fellow?) Democrats whom they should nominate in 2020, in order to defeat the man who has restored the American economy to growth rates exceeding population growth ( a task his predecessor assured us required a “magic wand”),

A recent poll from Public Policy Polling, showed U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT) co-captain Megan Rapinoe defeating President Trump in a hypothetical 2020 presidential matchup. (Tweet) Rapinoe, the co-captain of the World Cup-winning U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team, has in many ways become a media fascination, best known for protesting during the U.S. national anthem. Given Rapinoe’s strong opposition to President Trump and her strong stances on political issues, Public Policy Polling decided to poll a head-to-head contest between the president and the soccer star. The result? Rapinoe bested the president by one percentage point.

Democratic presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke said he was recently given documents showing that both he and his wife are descendants of people who owned slaves. In a post Sunday night for the website Medium, the former Texas congressman wrote that the documents showed that one of his paternal great-great-great grandfathers owned two women, named Rose and Eliza, in the 1850s. He said records also showed that one ancestor of his wife, Amy, owned slaves while another was part of the Confederate Army.(Staff) 'For example, there is 10 times the wealth in white America than there is in black America.

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand teared up in front of a crowd of progressives after admitting that she benefitted in her life from “enormous amounts of white privilege.” During the Netroots Nation conference in Philadelphia over the weekend, the New York senator told a story about a poor, white mother she recently met in Youngstown, Ohio, who couldn’t understand the concept of “white privilege.” “This conversation about white privilege is so important because what she doesn’t see is that as her son grows older, as my sons grow older, there’s going to be moments in his life that his whiteness protects

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) threw President Donald Trump’s own words back at him as the two exchanged insulting tweets on Sunday. Responding to a Trump tweet attacking “'Progressive' Democrat Congresswomen,” in which he suggested that the policies the unnamed congresswomen advocate come “from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world,” Omar replied by calling Trump “the worst, most corrupt and inept president”: Mr. President, As Members of Congress, the only country we swear an oath to is the United States. Which is why we are fighting to protect it from the worst, most corrupt and inept president we have ever seen.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced on Monday a House resolution to condemn Trump’s so-called ‘racist’ tweets toward AOC and her fellow ‘squad’ of Communist, America-hating Congresswomen. “The House cannot allow the President’s characterization of immigrants to our country to stand. Our Republican colleagues must join us in condemning the President’s xenophobic tweets,” Pelosi wrote in a letter to House Democrats.“This weekend, the President went beyond his own low standards using disgraceful language about Members of Congress,” Pelosi added. “Rather than attack Members of Congress, he should work with us for humane immigration policy
