President Donald Trump should "admit that climate change is real" and start figuring out ways to confront it.
That wasn't advice from prominent congressional Democrats Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez but rather from one of the president's staunchest allies in Congress: Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina.
"I'm tired of playing defense on the environment," Graham told reporters on Capitol Hill Wednesday as he and other GOP lawmakers announced the formation of the Roosevelt Conservation Caucus, which will "embrace and promote constructive efforts to resolve conservation and environmental problems."
In response to a question about the president's environmental record, Graham said Trump should agree

What OP said. But Lindsey Graham is pushing an admission of human-caused climate change.
For the President to admit “climate change is real” would simply be to state the obvious. That is not what little Lindsey is talking about.

Yes Missy L, climate changes all the time. For example I live in Palm Springs and last month the daytime high temp was 95 deg, today it will hit 118 deg. So call the guys at the dept of climate change and tell them to crank it back to 95 will ya.

I despise Lindsey Graham. When are you going to get to the bottom of things on the FBI and DOJ, Lindsey. You have been talking on tv about questions you have since Jan 2019---but you have not held a single hearing, or asked a single question of any witness? Trump knows Graham is a back stabbing buffoon, and flatters him, which costs Trump nothing, to get his vote. We all know the same--you are really great Graham--but we are not voting for any of your climate change or immigration ideas. Have a nice day!

Wonder if anyone else has noticed some of the climate issues seemed to materialize after Brazil clear-cut massive amounts of the Amazon Rainforest.
I mention this because it was reported that some group is looking to plant 1 trillion new trees to help absorb CO2.
What we need is for the scientific community to admit they've tampered with the data, and to return to actual science protocols to ensure we all know what' truly happening.
Notice that China, or India, or Russia aren't as concerned about "climate change"? China is more concerned with pollution.
What Democrats want, as per the New Green Deal, is to control the economy, and to fundamentally transform the United States' economy, but it would be for them, to ensure they maintain power, not to help the environment, or to prevent sea levels from rising. After all, those rich people in Malibu Colony, who's homes sit right on the sand, West of Pacific Coast Highway, don't seem to be very concerned, and the home prices don't seem to be falling out of fear their homes will be swept away.

I luv Creeping Climate Change. If it's weren't for that there would be dinosaurs in my yard, molten rock for grass, and door to door Neanderthals selling spears for Wooly Mammoths. But I kind of like Linsey even though he occasionally goes off track. Right after the 2016 election Linsey and John McCain were screaming that the Russian interfered in the election and they actually said they wanted war with a country with nuclear weapons. The only person who tells me how to vote is the guy I see shaving in the morning. And I live alone.

Lately I have been taking note that we no longer associate any scientists' names with climate change. It appears to me they are ducking, to preserve later credibility - they know this is almost over. The names we have are a little Swedish girl, Al Gore, AOC, historians of science, the "Potsdam Institute" whose scientists no longer seem eager for personal bylines. Kiddies, journalists, and politicians past expiration date. The lack of grand scientific reputation personally staked on this, is the canary that has fallen sideways in the coal mine and gone very quiet.

Hey Lindsey explain why the planet warmed ending the ice age? There were no cars, no pollution, no man made anything! The earth is constantly warming then cooling. Our climate is more dependent on sun spot activity or inactivity than anything else which the man made global warming hoaxers don't include in their so called climate change models! Good grief what an idiot!

It is obvious to everyone alive that the climate changes just like everything else in reality. The mistake is to assume like the ancient oracles did that everything that happens is the result of our human failure to please the gods. This belief is deeply embedded in our cultural myths and stories and is hard to unlearn. The science of what influences climate is very complex and subject to error. A recent Finnish study, for example, makes a good scientific case that variation in cloud coverage worldwide resulting from cosmic ray variation that drives cloud formation is the principle causal factor. Unless we think we are responsible for cosmic rays from space I think we should intelligently focus on minimizing the economic and social impact of climate change and not destroy modern society based on primitive fears.

glaciers moved as far South as the current Long Island, NY, which is noted as a 'terminal moraine', that is, formed by a glacier. Climate change proponents are idiots.

I think most of us would agree with the Senator that we must protect our environment and conserve and protect our resources. But, how to do that and how far to take the regulation is the quandary. The Obama and Clinton administrations overdid it. We don't have to be damaging property values because there is an occasional rain puddle in a pasture. We don't need to close off rural properties to development because a migrating bird from Mexico "might" stop by from time to time. We should not close off huge parcels of our scenic lands to the public because it makes us feel good to do so. We can keep our air clean. We can clean up and keep clean our water resources. We need to conserve rain and snow runoff (California, are you listening?). We must utilize the technology we have for clean coal burning and clean burning natural gas and install methods for making it available across the country.
If we can help keep trash out of the oceans, let's do it.
But, what we cannot and should not try to do is punish our nation's citizens with draconian measures that tamper with the economy and severely reduce quality of life. We must not reduce our own lifestyles to the extent that some are demanding when nothing is being done to limit the abuses by Asian nations (are you listening, United Nations?).
We can plant trees, we can recycle, we can try to reduce excessive use of paper products and plastics, but we have to be sensible about it all. (Are you listening, Senator Graham?)

The president has readily admitted that there is "climate change" many times.
The climate changes. That is what it has done for millions of years.
What President Trump (and pretty much anyone capable of understanding logic, reason, or facts) will not "admit" is that the climate changing is drastically caused by man!!! But that is what the illogical and evil Demon-Rats -- and their RINO brethren -- want the president to do!!!
Not going to happen!!!!!

Where doesn't weather change? Mars, maybe. The moon. The sun is pretty darned hot all the time.
So where is "climate" on the earth the same, every day, year in year out, decade, century, millennia, eons in and out in and out? There is no static climate.
Ice Ages, warming periods; cooling following super-volcanoes; warming during increased sunspot activity.
Suppose we could cause the climate to cool, and suppose we couldn't control just how much cooling and keep it that temperature (everywhere around the globe? northern and southern hemispheres?) and if we noticed the ice sheets beginning to rapidly grow (they can grow quickly) could we rev up our coal-fired plants ever so carefully, to turn up the heat just so much?

If you travel up to Canada along the Banff-Jasper highway you are in for a treat. Near the northern end of the highway you till be above 10,000 feet (the tree line). You will encounter the Columbia Ice Field, complete with tour busses. There are signs posted at the lower edges of the Athabasca Glacier that will show you where the edge was 20 - 50 years ago because of global warming.
They don't tell you that the residents (a million or so) of Edmonton, Alberta are happy to see all that warming because the city of Edmonton has always had its water supply from the Athabasca River which comes from the Athabasca Glacier. Neither do they tell you that even now, at higher altitudes, the Athabasca glacier is growing.
If the green new deal guys start messing with my water supply in Houston (hurricanes) I guess I'll have to go back to Canada.

Just in the last 2 days, the climate changed from a tropical depression to a Cat. 1 hurricane and back to a tropical depression. We were assured by the weather guessers on local and national TV that we were going to see between 10" to 20" of rain, guaranteed, so I want to thank whoever it was that held the rain to 1.5". Like we say down here in South Louisiana, hundreds of hurricanes in the past couple of centuries, but only the last few were caused by man made climate change.

The truth about this has been posted thousands of times but is simply ignored. I've posted countless times peer reviewed research and graphs that Republican Pres. GHW Bush in 1990 permanently embedded the imaginary climate danger industry in the Executive Branch including 13 fed. agencies via USGCRP. He immediately caused billions of US tax dollars to flow all over the world, no questions asked, in the name of climate danger and formation of a global climate science industry. In 1992 US Senate unanimously approved UNFCCC which says Americans harmed the environment the most, are 'rich,' and so must pay reparations in perpetuity. For 30 years GOP including Trump have allowed this to continue. Lindsey Graham and phony Matt Gaetz constantly lie and say GOP must do something. GOP has done everything. GOP have allowed hijack of US government and diversion of US tax dollars from real problems to climate profiteers. Polls always showed Republican voters didn't support this vast scam. GOP running for elections knew this but weren't about to stop what had become a $4 billion a day crime. Trump voters mistakenly thought Trump knew that CO2 lagged temperatures so would end the genocidal theft and demonization of Americans. At least $50 million US tax dollars each day go to the imaginary CO2 danger industry. That's just Exec. branch, doesn't include congress, or millions from state and local govs. Graham, Trump, and Gaetz know US could disappear and it wouldn't change global CO2 much because China's CO2 is so high. They don't care. If Trump intended to save us from this crime he would've stopped all conversation about it the day after his inauguration. He would've stopped the 'climate change is real' Obama era slogan. Unfortunately, Americans are on their own.
