The reason for her ouster is far more stimulating than any sermon this pastor could have delivered. The Rev. Dr. Amy Butler, the first woman to lead Manhattan’s famed Riverside Church, lost her lofty post amid complaints that she brought ministers and a congregant on a sex toy shopping spree and then gave one of them an unwanted vibrator as a birthday gift, The Post has learned. On May 15, Butler allegedly took two Riverside assistant ministers and a female congregant to a sex shop in Minneapolis called the Smitten Kitten, during a religious conference, according to sources familiar with

And here again is another cultural development that just by chance coincides with the goals of the communists, as stated in 1963. 26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy." 27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a "religious crutch." 28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."

Riverside Church has long been known as an ultra-liberal, social gospel church. I'm surprised they were offended by her behavior.

The fact that there even is a female pastor is in direct violation of God's direction to the church. Riverside appears to be an anti-Christian "Christian" church.

Pretty nice compensation package at $250,000/year and $8000 monthly housing allowance. The kicker was her hiring a lawyer to help her score a $100,000 raise. I'm sure she'll land on her feet.

Like others above, I am surprised anyone noticed her many ''incidents'' when you realize Riverside is known as a bastion of inter-denominational liberalism since the 1970s and ’80s. What is amusing is she waited until they were all out of town. Pity the poor lady who ''was afraid to say no'' to the so-called pastor.

Shortages of gas for heating have hit the nation’s most important city: New York. Following moves by Gov. Andrew Cuomo and New Jersey Gov. Why did Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta resign? His supposed “offense” was declining to prosecute Jeffrey Epstein in return for the billionaire sex predator’s guilty plea in state court (and concomitant jail sentence) when he was U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida. That is hardly an offense or even scandalous. It’s a professional decision that prosecutors across the country make every day. You can agree or disagree with it, but it is hardly grounds to lose your next job over. So what is going on here? The least likely possibility is that there really was something scandalous about Acosta’s decision.
