Confederate Railroad and unfair racial justice at the Illinois State Fair

Original Article

Illinois’ Governor J.B. Pritzer has banned the Southern rock band “Confederate Railroad” from the Illinois State Fair because of the band’s name and Confederate flag on their logo. He said that the administration bars using resources to promote symbols of racism. Well, kiss my grits. Let’s look at the state fair’s “Land of Lincoln.” Of course, this in reference to the 16th president who is claimed by Illinois as its son, though Lincoln was born in Kentucky not far from Jefferson Davis.

Let's review the bidding. The Guv bans a band because of its name. I spent a considerable of time in the "South" (Confederate Country), Georgia, etc., serving in the military. Would The Guv ban me from the Fair too? Is that fair?

Confederate Railroad. Don't know anything about them (until now) but I just bought a CD anyway. They're now on my Good List. That's how we roll. I'm more Iron Maiden but that's not the point. I'll give it a listen and likely give it to someone more attuned to this type of music. Or who knows -- it might be good desert driving music. The point is J.B. Pritzer can go blow bubbles in hell.

I'm against all forms of racism, but this is just over the top. My husband was born and raised in Oregon, but lived in Mississippi for five years with his first wife. Her family lived near Pascagoula. He has talked about her Grandma's cooking biscuits every meal and Grandpa cooking chitlins for all the neighbors, both white and black, and that people would come for miles. After his divorce, he drove back to Oregon in a 1956 Chevrolet sedan and the seat cover was a confederate flag. That confederate flag is in his shop now reminding him of his time in the South. Are we now supposed to take it down, when it reminds him of his time living in the South? Not a memory of hate and race, but a memory of how people in a community lived together and cared about each other. This is what Communists do. This has got to stop. Now... regarding chitlins...I have a very different opinion.

As long as we are banning all names associated with slavery, there is another name that should be changed, the Democrat Party. This party was owned by the southern planters that tried to preserve slavery. It was Democratic Senator Calhoun that said slavery was a positive good - good for both slaves and the planters. it was Democrat Jefferson Davis that gave the order to fire on Fort Sumter and the Democratic General Beauregard that carried it out to start the Civil War. Lets change the name to, ah, maybe the tax party, or the border-less party.

Legacy media and big tech are in agreement: there is no left-wing liberal bias operating in the corporate offices of the information gatekeepers at the New York Times and among Silicon Valley. Unfortunately, they are as biased as Google’s search results. Project Veritas reveals that liberal bias. Playboy correspondent Brian Karem exhibits how much old media and big tech are nothing more than punks. Bullies. Distorters of facts to justify their brutish behavior.

Palm Beach Police Chief Michael Reiter and Detective Joseph Recarey risked their careers for the sake of the community they served. That risk centered on a case in which they gathered evidence supporting allegations that a multi-millionaire suspect living in a $12.5 million mansion on Palm Beach’s fashionable barrier island was trafficking in underage girls for sex. That man was hedge fund manager Jeffrey Epstein. Law enforcement officials were “pressured by then-Palm Beach State Attorney Barry Krischer to downgrade the (2006) case to a misdemeanor or drop it altogether,” the Miami Herald reported. This despite having identified some 35 possible victims.

Former President Bill Clinton and numerous other friends and acquaintances of Jeffery Epstein are under scrutiny in the wake of Epstein’s NY indictment for sex trafficking. The raid on Epstein’s townhouse uncovered a virtual treasure trove of evidence, including reams of photos and videos. Many of the photo discs include names of young women as well as dates. Most of the young women allegedly appear to be underage. If true, the files are a trail of inconvertible evidence. Just when you were certain that Hillary Clinton would be the first Clinton indicted, it looks like Bill Clinton may actually beat her to it.

There’s something fishy about the impending prosecution of billionaire financier and registered sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein. His unsealed indictment of Sunday last goes against a 2007 deal reached between his lawyers and then-US Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, Alexander Acosta – President Trump’s current US Secretary of Labor. Epstein’s light sentence for sex trafficking of underage girls – 13 months in county jail with trips to his Palm Beach office permitted for business – was granted in exchange for testimony against Wall Street executives connected to the selling of derivative investments comprised of toxic subprime loans.

In 2000, while walking down Fillmore Street in San Francisco a spectacular article of men’s finery caught my eye. In the Garland-Dewson store window sat a majestic black felt fedora. Its’ shiny ribbon reflecting the sun’s yellow glint. With it sat a note and price tag. The note declared the hat to be identical to one worn by former Democrat San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown. Its price was a little north of 400 simoleons. Brown served thirty years (1965 to 1995) in the California State Assembly, where he rose to become that body’s first African American speaker. In 1996, he was elected San Francisco’s first African-American mayor.

President Donald Trump should "admit that climate change is real" and start figuring out ways to confront it. That wasn't advice from prominent congressional Democrats Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez but rather from one of the president's staunchest allies in Congress: Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina. "I'm tired of playing defense on the environment," Graham told reporters on Capitol Hill Wednesday as he and other GOP lawmakers announced the formation of the Roosevelt Conservation Caucus, which will "embrace and promote constructive efforts to resolve conservation and environmental problems." In response to a question about the president's environmental record, Graham said Trump should agree

Former President Bill Clinton, on the other hand, faced fresh criticism surrounding his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, who on Monday was indicted on sex trafficking charges.

Why did Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta resign? His supposed “offense” was declining to prosecute Jeffrey Epstein in return for the billionaire sex predator’s guilty plea in state court (and concomitant jail sentence) when he was U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida. That is hardly an offense or even scandalous. It’s a professional decision that prosecutors across the country make every day. You can agree or disagree with it, but it is hardly grounds to lose your next job over. So what is going on here? The least likely possibility is that there really was something scandalous about Acosta’s decision.
