Mississippi politician tells female reporter
she can’t interview him unless she’s with
a man

A Republican candidate for Mississippi governor told a female reporter that he couldn’t be interviewed by her unless she was accompanied by a male colleague — later claiming that he was following “the Billy Graham Rule.” “We just wanted to keep things professional,” said GOP hopeful Robert Foster in a radio interview on Tuesday. The female reporter, Larrison Campbell of Mississippi Today, had been asking to go on a “ride along” with Foster when his campaign director reportedly refused on his behalf.

Comments:

As with Mike Pence, Roy Moore, Judge Kavanaugh and even President Trump, there is always a leftist in the shadows waiting for a chance to bring a good man down by insinuating that he violated his marriage vows and sexually assaulted someone of the opposite sex. The Billy Graham Rule stops that in its tracks.

Although the sentiment is correct, this sounds a bit too much like Sharia for my taste. Perhaps a 'we meet in public only or we don't meet at all' would be more appropriate. Republicans cannot be too careful these days, as the grass is full of snakes.

His position sounds prudent to me. I started Medical School in 1974 and have been in medicine ever since. The directive from virtually the beginning was don't examine opposite sex patients without an opposite sex chaperone in attendance. I am male and that means I needed a female chaperone present when I examined female patients. During my time as an Air Force physician that was a pretty strict rule. Obviously, in a true emergency, we were not expected to wait around for a chaperone while a patient bleed out or otherwise deteriorated. I realize there is a difference between doing a pelvic exam or breast exam on a female patient and driving between campaign events with a female reporter as the only other occupant of the vehicle. On the other hand if the reporter claims the candidate did or said something inappropriate it would be his word versus hers and I think he is wise to not travel alone with an opposite sex reporter. I myself would not travel alone with a reporter of any gender.

Martha McCallum didn't think much of his position on FNC. She treated him like he had some type of contagious disease. Fox is losing me one brick at a time. Kudos to Robert Foster for following the Billy Graham rule. His campaign will probably get a boost in Mississippi as a result of the condescending attitude shown him by McCallum.

Carl Bernstein, of Watergate fame and not much else since, had a meltdown a few weeks ago, a common occurrence from the Left since Trump has taken office. While on CNN’s Reliable Sources he called for a closer look into why people support Trump. He said, “No president in the history of the United States in 246 years has expressed the kinds of ideas and thoughts and undemocratic notions and authoritarian notions that he has. We need to start connecting these dots. What do people in the country think of this and why do they think and support him, no matter what he does,

In 1970, in response to the Vietnam War protests, Merle Haggard wrote and recorded "Fighting Side of Me." The lyrics are as relevant today as 1970: [music video] The Dems and the media are having their daily Trump Derangement Syndrome moment because President Trump advised Mullah Ilhan Omar to take her pals Commandante Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Che Pressley, and Mullah Rashida Tlaib, members of the Whack-Job Squad, to go to whatever country they prefer to the USA, fix that country, then return to the USA. The Dems are so offended by this that they voted to condemn President Trump for this sensible suggestion.

A coalition of immigrant rights groups, including Florida Immigrant Coalition, Farmworker Association of Florida, WeCount!, Americans for Immigrant Justice, Hope Community Center, QLatinx, and the City of Miami filed the suit in federal court in Miami this morning. The injunction request is the first lawsuit to target the controversial law.

The outburst came with great assist from MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski after she asked Biden in an interview how he would “fight” Trump, given that he “lies,” “bullies,” and “doesn’t play fair.”

It’s déjà vu all over again. President Trump has given the hanging party a first-rate piece of rope to use against him.
