BB&B had beautiful things but they were too expensive. They also seemed like good quality so perhaps they don't wear out very often and how many towels and sheets can you have? A hamper should last almost a lifetime. So should a lot else they sell.

Why? I really like this store. But, I seldom shop there...I always enjoy shopping there when I do, though. The stores are clean, well-stocked, huge variety, prices are a little upper class, but not out of touch for me in the middle class. I love their kitchen products, bedding, bath selection and all the little odd things they place throughout the store. It is always something of an adventure to shop there. But, when I go to Walmart, which I do often, I have to drive right in front of BB&B- yet, I only shop there during the holidays. Go figure. Walmart? Hmmm

Locally, it's a nice store in a wealthy area. It's big, clean, has nice things, but customer service and helpful employees just aren't available. It's expensive.
Additionally, it smells of chemicals and I can't stay in the store long.
I am sorry to see so many retail stores close because I hate online shopping. In some areas, it has become too dangerous to shop because of ferals.

BB&B as is Victoria's Secret is owned by L Brands headed by a fellow named Les Wexner who has been buddies with Jeffrey Epstein.

Hadn't been in a long time. Went in last month to find a cheap mattress cover. Nothing under $60. Went to Ikea and got one for about $30. Was also on the hunt for a solid chicken fryer Again, nothing under $60. Got one from TJ Maxx for $30.
On my next trip to TJ Maxx, early on a weekend morning, the doors opened but the entire staff seemed huddled about the front of the store. I asked the nearest employee who started walking toward me, "You open?" Response: We're open for a special shopper's event, would you like to sing up?" I turned and walked out. A yes or now would have been sufficient. Opportunistic marketing that wastes my time isn't going to save you from your online competitors.

For what they sell, BB&B’s prices are about right and their coupons (we get them in the mail all the time) are excellent. It’s OK to collect them because our local store honor mailed coupons even if they are staledated. Friends order family gifts from BB&B and their relatives in another states can pick up at stores where they live.
I have to say something about mattress covers. In today’s world, finding one that will last at only $60 is a bargain. Too many have cotton tops - fine - but elasticized sides made out of what is almost a plastic material. It lasts for maybe a couple years, then comes apart in shreds. No bargain.
Earlier this week they took $15 off a $70 electric razor. And $70 was the advertised price of this model elsewhere. A good deal. Their return policy is very good as well.
A shame if they go under.

I have not noticed the high prices that many describe here, but they are very generous with their 20% off coupons that you can sign up for online, or they come in the mail. They have a lot of hard to find items. But their stores are big and their inventory is expensive, I'd imagine. I do not like discount stores like TJ Maxx who never seem to have what I am looking for. I don't have time for that kind of shopping.

#7 you are confusing Bed, Bath & Beyond with Bath and Bodyworks. Bed, Bath & Beyond was started right here in NJ and although they went public, the same two families were in control of the company until this year (they have stepped down due to charges of nepotism).

Apparently, #12, the rumor was false. Bed, Bath & Beyond did not dump Trump. In all honesty, Ivanka's apparel items were kind of gaudy and over priced. Perhaps her home accessories were better.
