U.S. women’s national soccer team members Allie Long and Megan Rapinoe stepped on an American flag after Long dropped on the ground as they posed for post-game photos Sunday. Following their repeat World Cup win in Lyon, France, the team was celebrating on the field and posing for photos when Long dropped the flag she was holding. She and Rapinoe then stepped forward, leaving the flag underfoot. They continued to pose for the cameras as one of their teammates rushed forward to grab the flag.

This whole fiasco has been shameful. From the self centered player that felt she was representing her poltical views and not the US, the disgraceful sports bar with Americans on live TV shouting obsenities about Trump, to the flag dropping which was no doubt meant to be a symbolic protest, I expect no less from a quota sport. About the only sports worth watching now are curling, golf and bowling. They may be boring but at least the competitors are competing and not protesting.

I don't recall any other teams having members who were allowed to run around saying" i'm an angry lesbian and hate my country and the President" and then show such blatant disrespect by dropping and stepping on their country's flag. Why is Rapione and her fellow lesbians on the team so angry? They just won the Women's World Cup with the support of most of their country (despite their foul mouths and antics). They need to get over themselves.

A CIA spokesperson declined to comment, telling the Washington Examiner the agency does not discuss individual security clearances. The White House did not immediately return a request for comment.
