Obama's DHS Secretary: FYI, Cages

Former Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson gave the left another reality check over the weekend about detention centers on the southern border with Mexico. “Chain link barriers, partitions, fences, cages, whatever you want to call them, were not invented on January 20, 2017, okay?" Johnson said during an interview at the Aspen Institute. Johnson was asked about a photo taken in 2014. It shows the former Secretary touring a border detention facility in Arizona when the unaccompanied minor and family unit crisis actually began.

I keep reading comments by Jeh that almost make him seem like not so much a leftist. He's certainly more honest about the illegal migration crisis. It appears that he may not be deep in the Light-skinned Hate Whitey Destroy America Club (LSHWDAC). Kamala, Spartacus, Holder...

Well Mr Johnson was in a position to recognize that when then President Obama went along with the leftist special interest DACA amnesty, allowing about 3 million young illegal aliens up to about 35 years of age to stay in the USA, and also indirectly allowing their illegal alien immediate families to also stay, through an administrative process that has never been grounded in the law; along with the leftist special interest asylum loopholes that were placed in the asylum and immigration laws, that those politically based moves went on to serve as the catalyst, once they became known to intending illegal aliens and the international criminal smuggling cartels, for huge masses of poor Central American children to be transported to the US borderline. That is clear, as before those leftist policies came into effect the numbers of intending illegal alien children located illegally entering the USA by way of the borderline was a manageable trickle before DACA, but that after DACA, and the asylum loopholes became operational policy along the borderline, that trickle of intending illegal children as become an ongoing out of control flood of intending unaccompanied children, and adult illegal aliens accompanied by children, who are in actuality economic migrants taking fraudulent advantage of the asylum loopholes and subsequent court rulings by activist liberal Federal Judges, thinking that they will be allowed into the USA to stay permanently to await another DACA amnesty. The Leftist and liberal Democrats want as many poor, uneducated, and socialist minded illegal aliens as possible from underdeveloped and undeveloped countries to gain entry to the USA as the Democrats believe that those illegal aliens, after being granted amnesty and eventual US voting rights, would become natural Democrat socialist voters to permanently change the voter demographics and overwhelm the “deplorable” vote in enough key areas of the USA, to keep the Democrats in permanent power in DC, to transform the USA into a socialist utopia.

This quote should be run on TV and radio ads leading up into this next election. People need to see and hear it. And, hear it regularly. I would hope that the people in Hollywood would be required to put some disclaimer indicating this too, as they use their TV shows to paint a picture that this issue is created by Trump.

The Democrats really have to know this but refuse to acknowledge it. At least Jeh is telling the truth. I wonder what prompted that?

Stefan Halper, the shadowy Cambridge academic who may have helped the FBI spy on the Trump campaign, was paid more than $1 million by a U.S. agency for research papers of dubious value, according to a new government report. But even as it shed new light on Halper’s work, the report left unanswered central questions about his Trump-Russia role and raised new ones about the circuitous winds on which Washington dollars manage to fly out the window. In the months leading up to the 2016 election, Halper famously approached and questioned – sometimes amiably, sometimes aggressively --

A point has yet to be made about the four American socialist Democratic congresswomen whom President Trump is advising to go back to the places they came from. It’s not just that three of them were born in America. It’s that while Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Omar Ilhan, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley may change America, the likelihood is that America will change them even more. And it has a way of changing all of us for the better. It’s not that we agree with the Squad’s socialist sentiments. We prefer the kind of pro-growth, laissez-faire capitalism of which Mr. Trump is a tribune.

In a way, I can’t blame those who grew up in the Cold War for being pessimistic about the future. We lived then in an age of potential nuclear annihilation and Hollywood made sure that we knew about what would happen if it occurred. The studios rolled out film after film of post-apocalyptic dystopian worlds from Planet of the Apes to Soylent Green. These films were usually shot in vast desert areas in foreign countries because the truth is that America is still very, very beautiful.

America is a providential nation, chosen by God always to be a beacon of freedom and hope. In the freedom and opportunity it offers its citizens and in the example it offers to other nations, America is that "city upon a hill" envisioned by John Winthrop, first governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. By that, he meant that the pilgrim colony in New England, standing proudly as if on a hill, would be a model of goodness and right living for all to see. America is still that city upon a hill, but our future is less certain.

In 1958 Eugene Burdick and William Lederer published The Ugly American. The book was written to expose the failure of U.S. diplomatic personnel in Southeast Asia. The American diplomatic corps were boorishly indifferent to local language, customs, and culture. The book caused quite a stir in the waning days of Eisenhower’s administration, and Kennedy used it as springboard to launching the Peace Corps.(snip). A mysterious change seems to come over Americans when they go to a foreign land. They isolate themselves socially. They live pretentiously. They are loud and ostentatious."

There have now been five national polls since the first Democratic presidential primary debate. Together, the surveys, conducted by ABC News/Washington Post, Quinnipiac, CNN, The Hill/Harris, and Politico/Morning Consult, show the debate has shaken up the race. The field has separated into three clearly definable tiers, all atop a large group at the bottom made up of candidates with virtually no support. Within the first tier -- Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, and Elizabeth Warren -- the leaders' positions are rapidly shifting. Since the debate, only one of the four -- Harris -- is up, while Biden, Sanders, and Warren are down.

The New York Post on Tuesday released an editorial completely trashing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) for her theatrics over the so-called "concentration camps" at the southern border. The editorial board recounted numerous rhetorical moments AOC carried out (emphasis mine): Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is horrified at what she’s seen on her visit to a holding facility for illegal immigrants — just a week after she voted against emergency funding to improve conditions at what she’d taken to calling “concentration camps.” This after months when Democrats insisted that talk of a border crisis was just a Trump admin

Since I have always resided in or near the inner cities of New York, it is quite obvious that these leaders have no idea what is happening in these neighborhoods.
