Stephanie Wilkinson has re-affirmed the Red Hen’s stance that it is perfectly acceptable to refuse service to political and social figures you disagree with, and it was quickly met with backlash from those who have maintained their sanity. The Red Hen rose to national recognition in 2018 after refusing to serve then-Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee-Sanders. This account was confirmed by Sanders herself in a tweet made over a year ago. Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for @POTUS and I politely left. Her actions say far more about her than about me.
Some people don't know when to shut up. Abuse is fair game ? She should so sue you.

"rose to national recognition"?
Sounds like the article writer approves of the nasty restaurant.
I think the phrasing should be corrected.
How about "descended into national infamy" or
"descended into national notoriety"

I don't want to support the Red Hen restaurant but why don't Trump supporters make reservations and fill the restaurant to capacity, order expensive meals, and when they come out put on MAGA hats and livestream the results? Insist on paying for the meals and leave a large tip saying "Donald Trump thanks you" in a note. It would be lots of fun and it would be taking the high road. And it would make fools of the Red Hen by doing this in a non-vindictive way.

Sarah was fortunate they asked her to leave instead of poisoning her food. So filled w/hate I think they wouldn't hesitate to tamper w/someone's food.
I saw photos of the place, and it looked rundown.. paint needed to be refreshed and the entire place beginning w/the sidewalk leading to the entrance was filthy... especially the windows.

I'm sure this Wilkinson harpy fully supports the right to sue bakers who won't make gays a cake.

It’s ok to refuse service to someone you don’t like? What if I refused service to, I don’t know, Kamala Harris because she’s radically pro-abortion? What if I refused service to Mayor Pete because he’s radically pro-socialism? Would the WaPo support my freedom to choose my customers? I’ll bet that baker in Colorado is scratching his head after reading that self-righteous hoo-ha.

Stop eating and going to liberal establishments. I would not eat at her restaurant in fear that someone would spit in my food. Let her go bankrupt.

From a legal standpoint, Sanders and others CAN sue business owners who refuse them service.
They should.
A little pain to rude people now might return us to civility later. Consider this the New Civil Rights Movement.
In fact, when you consider the original, it was as much about politics as color. Black were simply easier to identify as Republicans. After the Democrats killed off the true leaders of Civil Rights, they slicked in their loyal house slaves, then convinced the black community to re-sell themselves back into slavery.

This is like a person wishing someone else would die of a horrible disease. How about when you go shopping, chicken? A store can boot you out and call you names. Or, go to the movies (who does that anymore?) and you get kicked out of the movies. All because you're from that restaurant the Red Hen. It can happen to you just as you wish for someone else. Okay with that?

The violent Democrat Left in America can be put back in their hate-filled box with laws we already have. All we need is an active organization whose purpose is to protect the rights of all Americans. Oh, wait- there used to be something called the ACLU...is it still around? Maybe they could help.

I wish one of the conservative street artists would create signage for her restaurant that changes the name to Masterpiece Bakeshop, or even better, Woolworth Lunch Counter. Discrimination is discrimination you nasty old self-righteous hag. Lucky for you you live in a town that will tolerate you. Try that where I live and you'd be out of business in a week.

Perhaps it would be a nice investment to hire some college age Republicans along with adequate "muscle" for their safety to protest in from of Ms. Red Hen's place of business at peak times
Add her home, and that of workplaces of the Wash Poo and NYT writers who encourage violent acts against their political opponents. You know, like the Bernie supporter who tried to massacre Republican members of Congress at baseball practice..

Then why can't I drop a stink bomb in your place once a week and have that be just as "fair game"?
