Bank of America will end its association with companies that provide prisoner and immigrant detention services at both the state and federal levels. The move comes amid growing public concern about the nation’s border policies.
A spokesperson said Wednesday that Bank of America has discussed the issue with its clients that provide those services. While the bank appreciates “steps they have taken to properly execute their contractual and humanitarian responsibilities,” it ultimately decided to “exit the relationships.”
“Lacking further legal and policy clarity, and in recognition of the concerns of our employees and stakeholders in the communities we serve, it is our intention to exit these relationships,” the spokesperson said.

Baloney. Banks do business with anyone and everyone all the time. You just can't see it, that's all.
This is fake news.

Bank of America froze my crdit card, because I owed ONE DOLLAR. I kid you not. Guess how long it took me to freeze them out of my life?

What a coincidence....I was already in the planning stages of changing banks and dropping these bums. This is the icing on the cake.

Wonder if they felt this type of angst when the facilities were being installed under the Obama administration.
Or, are the people from the Obama administration pressuring BofA into this type of action?
#4, seems odd to me, since I still get mail from B of A, for the previous resident of our home, and we've lived there for over 10 years now.
And, I've even taken it to a local B of A branch years ago too.

I suggest that the buses of illegals be deposited in the lobby of the nearest Bank of America. Let them deal with it. It's obvious they are morally superior.

I'm glad B of A isn't a baker. Then they'd have to bake the cake regardless of how they feel.
And we can blame Emperor Obama for this one. He and his minons made the banking regulations so onerous that most of the independent community banks have had to sell out to larger operations because regulatory compliance (and fines) grew to such a point you had to sell.

Does BofA prefer that the illegals be living on the streets? Will they be opening up detention centers?
Do they want to maintain the problem or find a solution?

Yawn. More virtue-signalling from Lefty snowflakes. Nature abhors a vacumn, so another financial institution will take BOFA' s place.

Whenever and wherever I see virtue signalling or political correctness, I immediately take my business elsewhere. I dropped BofA years ago, can't even remember what they did to provoke me.

In addition to their constant lefty virtue signalling they are probably the worst bank in the country as far as customer service and they are also a bunch of crooks. They had to pay almost 17 billion in fines to the US Justice Department for abusing customers. https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/bank-america-pay-1665-billion-historic-justice-department-settlement-financial-fraud-leading

As a federally-insured institution, does BofA have this prerogative? Aren't the detention centers operated by vendors to the Feds, implementing US government policy?

I quit BofA in the 60's because of their arrogance. I sent money home to Mom from Vietnam like a lot of troops did to put in an account for me upon my return. The bank would not let her open the account because they mandated I come in personally to sign the papers. Have not even considered them for anthing financial since. Stupid is as stupid does.

Baloney of America raced to be first to give home loans to illegals. They dream of being Bank of the World.

I don't do business with Bank of America, so there.

Remember back when BoA decided to do business with illegals, not requiring them to have an ID to open accounts?
I dropped them years ago because my local bank did not have one white America working there. If I could drop LabCorp for the same reason, I would.
