Trump Makes Major Pledge On Supreme
Court Vacancy: ‘Would I Do That?
Of Course’

Original Article

Should a vacancy come up on the Supreme Court before the 2020 election, President Trump said he would absolutely fill the seat promptly. “Would I do that? Of course,” Trump said in an exclusive interview with The Hill when asked if he’d fill the post during campaign season. The president’s vow runs counter to what he said in 2016, when he was running for the White House. As a candidate, he opposed former President Obama’s effort to seat his nominee, Merrick Garland, before the election, backing Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) decision to block the nomination.

They are drawing a false equivalence between a SC nomination made prior to the election in a lame duck administration with a potential SC nomination done prior to the election in a non lame duck administration. Then they expect no one understands the difference. When it's pointed out, they ignore it, and continue to screech about the false equivalence. What a bunch of numbskulls.

As #3 and 4 pointed out, it isn't the same, and there's no sense in wasting your time trying to guide a leftard to see the difference. All you can do with commies is plant them, as they are incurable. BTW, that's what they believe about you, the non-commie, if you look at history instead of listening to their lies.

Two solid reasons. One, Trump still has a full four year term ahead of him. 0bama was done. Secondly, as the POTUS said himself, if the 'Rats had the Senate they wouldn't have hesitated one nano second to nominate and get their man approved. Days when they can come to the fight with brass knuckles and bicycle chains and Republicans are expected to play by Marquess of Queensbury rules are OVER.

No, no, no... Republicans held the Senate and Obama could never get an appointment confirmed with the clock running out. His “reason” was a lie because the reality made him look weak and so they can use it to manipulate a Republican President. Anyone who thinks Barry passed up great power and influence because of decorum or tradition just isn’t paying attention. If Obama had a Democrat controlled Senate and a Supreme Court vacancy with 30 seconds left he would have gotten an appointment done as fast as Clinton pardoned Mark Rich.
