Drivers will be forced off the roads in Ireland and the population packed into “higher density” cities under a long-awaited climate plan which will ‘revolutionise’ people’s lifestyle and behaviours, according to local media.
“Nudge” policies such as huge tax hikes, as well as bans and red tape outlined in the plan, will pave the way to a “vibrant” Ireland of zero carbon emissions by 2050 according to the government, which last year committed to boost the country’s 4.7 million-strong population by a further million with mass migration.
In order to avert a “climate apocalypse”, the government plans

No private transportation except for the elite. Crammed into dense cities. Control the food supply. Makes it easier for the government to control the population. All the while countries like China, India and others continue with their consumption of fossil fuels, growing, polluting and taking over the world. What the hell is going on? This borders on insanity.l

So it's a return of 19th century, horse-drawn carts and burning peat for fuel?

Chances are Ireland will eventually loose a good portion of the educated and productive native Irish population to the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada in the future. The million new replacement residents will mostly be Muslims from Africa and the Middle East who will eventually no doubt try to transform the island of Ireland into an Islamic utopia.
It is appropriate to ask how much Catholic Church based perverted criminal activities involving children in Ireland over the years has facilitated these apparently unopposed globalist and socialist governmental policies? Are we going to be watching Ireland committing national suicide?

Last time I was in Ireland, there was discussion about how the peat bogs were being depleted, #5. They may be going back to an Angela’s Ashes time when the masses just froze.

The potato famine will be a cake walk if these Irish government & media propagandists bring these new policies to reality. Farewell, Ireland.

Got investments in Irish corporations or in other companies that have a big presence in Ireland?
Either sell NOW or at least plot your exit strategy.

What a nightmare vision of the future. Vibrant?! Rounded up into huge cities? Tax hikes? Bans on private vehicles? Doesn't sound like a "nudge" to me.
(Musings while on hold...do cows think they're being nudged to a vibrant future as they're forced up that ramp to the slaughterhouse?)

Sounds like the implementation of Agenda 21. Will each "living unit" be equipped with a pedal-driven generator attached to the grid, and will each individual be assigned a certain number of hours on it? Will their food pellets be regularly dropped through a slot?

I know it isn't politically correct but it seems almost anyone who was poor and hardworking in Europe prior to WWII and had enough courage and initiative made their way elsewhere, especially to the US. We can see what those who didn't migrate have turned into. Soiylent Green meets 1984. We can only hope European nationalism will make a comeback in the nations not totally saturated in toxic feminism and communism.

Ah! the Irish. It is always the Irish.
Well, we should start calling Ireland "The Canary" for the Canary in the coal mine. We should get to see how this mini-Utopian Bull scat turns out. I love the Irsish. I am part Irish, m'self. And come 2029 let us revisit dear old Ireland and see how it all worked out for them. The poor bast**ds.

Ireland has lost its identity, culture, and history. The vote allowing abortion in this one-time Catholic state is just proof. Multi-cultural-ism is a naked fraud whose only intent is the actual destruction of Western values.

a) Move to Canada.
b) Move to Scotland.
c) Move to Libya.
d) variously all of the above.

In my first reply was a joke because I thought that this proposal couldn't really be as bad as Breitbart's report made it sound. I was wrong, it's worse. Here's a more detailed report on this initiative: https://www.independent.ie/news/environment/revealed-proposed-petrol-and-diesel-car-ban-in-towns-and-tax-hikes-how-climate-change-action-strategy-will-affect-you-38224591.html

It was the abuses by the so called Catholic State's sinful priests and nuns that caused the push back by the Irish. No one denomination should have so much authority in a country. That said, I feel profoundly sad for the Irish people.
