Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren has recently surged in the polls, achieving double-digit numbers for the first time since officially announcing her candidacy in February. Indeed, Senator Warren has solidified her position as one of the five top-tier candidates who have managed to distinguish themselves from the other two dozen candidates vying for the Democratic Party's nomination. The group of five front-runners includes Senator Kamala Harris, Senator Bernie Sanders, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, and former Vice President Joe Biden. Put simply, Warren’s momentum spells bad news for the Democratic Party. The Massachusetts Senator has centered her candidacy around far-left, big-government policies that

Any one else suspect that the media simply decide from day to day who the dem front runner will be, and then present it as legitimate news, backed up by “polling”? (That’s a rhetorical question, btw.)

I think they are going to let her (or make her) draw the short straw. After all, someone needs to be the goat and she’s as good as any. Besides, it’s a two-fer: they protect the party and get rid of her. She’s annoying, old and of very little use.

I really don't give a rip about it being bad news for the Demoncrat Party. The problem, the realproblem, the real concern, is that what the rise of any of these low-lifes implies for this country. Every single one of them bids fair to make Benedict Arnold look good by comparison. Seriously, what conglomeration of worthless idiots put loathsome creeps like Buttplug, Harris, Biden, etc. into office rather than the loony bin or prison? Why are we to be polite to Bernie-bots? A nation can survive a few louts and loons. A nation or civilization can not survive the elevation of such loathsome creeps like this into positions of power and influence. I was planning to re-read my copy of "Decline and Fall Of The Roman Empire" but what I see around me leads to the conclusion that we're already past the tipping point as our own nation and civilization races down the drain. I will not live to see the final collapse. Perhaps that is a kindness.

For the Democrats everything has been about identity politics. Four of their top five are all identity politics. Harris is black and female. Warren is female. Buttigieg is gay. Sanders is a Commie. The odd one out is Biden who was a former VP and a Washington insider with the most connections. Think the article is correct in that one of these is going to be the 2020 Democratic nominee for President. My money is on Harris, but far from certain. She can get the Obama and Hillary voters, and the Democrats will need both. The gays will go along with whomever gets the nomination. So will the commies. They are writing off white blue collar voters. They voted for Trump. They will also rely on immigrants and voter fraud. The power behind the democrats will go with whomever is most electable. They own the Democratic party.

Interesting about the 16th amendment. It only taxed income and it started out at 1%. Now what are we up to? 37%? Bossy big sister Liz says we should tax wealth of over $50 million and at only 2%. What could that become in twenty years? Tax wealth of over half a million and at a rate of 15%? One thing I do notice is that the political class is well out of reach in Liz’ big idea. Not even Nancy or J. Effin Kerry has $500 million in assets.

The topic of reparations for slavery has emerged as a major issue since the start of the year as Democratic presidential candidates gear up for 2020. On Wednesday, the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties will hold the first hearing in more than a decade focused specifically on reparations. The legislation, introduced earlier this year by Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas, would establish a commission to study the impact of slavery and lingering discrimination against black Americans, as well as propose reparation recommendations. While Lee's bill isn't the first focused on reparations

Why have national Democrats and not national Republicans fallen under the tyranny of the 70-somethings? It seems so contrary to common expectation. Democrats are, as they often remind us, the party of progress and the future. The question seems to rival those enduring, unanswerable mysteries such as “What happens when you die?” and “Why did Mick Taylor quit the Rolling Stones?” People in their mid-to-late 70s are thick on the ground nowadays, while in an earlier era, of course, you’d have been more likely to find them under it. This is especially true in the urban centers of the Northeast

The other could outlaw the partisan gerrymandering techniques that were essential to Republican dominance at the state and congressional level over the past decade. The politically weighted
