One thing that comes with being in politics for awhile: a thick skin and a sense of humor, both of which Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has. Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently took shots at McConnell, calling him the Senate's "grim reaper" because he refuses to bring Democrats' ridiculous legislation before the entire chamber. (Snip) “She’s got it right. For the first time in my memory, I agree with Nancy Pelosi," McConnell said. Oh sure! The Dems want to pass legislation to give DC and Puerto Rico statehood/ Why? to get 4 new Democrat senators. They can't win elections the old fashion way. How about making the election age drop to 16 year old or abolishing the electoral college. Those are some of the new legislation proposals from the Democrat Gangster party. Nancy Pelosi has become a fascist and a tyrant for trying to foment incivility with the lies she's spews about President Trump committing a crime and a cover up. She's no better than Maxine Waters. Quite Frankly, she acts and sounds like she's in the middle stages of Dementia. Notice the time of day when gets combative and addled, it's usually in the afternoon. That's when they go batty. It's commonly referred to as sundowning.

Good for McConnell, and he REALLY held the line on the Garland SCOTUS appointment, a real hero on that one, IMO. I don't like some of what he does, but stopping Nutty Nancy COLD is great, and pushing through Trump's judges is a really great thing.

The really sad thing is, that Mitch actually does agree with Nanzi WAY too often. And he would act on it a lot more often if it wasn't for faking the peasants back home into keeping voting for him.

Ole Nancy & Reid never had a budget, they just spent what they wished on what they wished. Nancy like Harry will bend, stretch , change & invent new rules to accomplish their agenda. They think because the media is on their side they can do & say anything they wish.

Chekhov says somewhere—I think it must be in one of his letters to young ladies with literary ambitions—that a writer can, or at least should be able to, write a story about an ashtray. Actually, this might be less difficult than might at first appear. If you imagine an ashtray to have eyes, ears, and consciousness, it would probably have witnessed a great deal in its lifetime, especially drunken quarrels. I have known ashtrays used as instruments of murder or attempted murder. In the days when almost everyone smoked, ashtrays would also have witnessed many a historical event.

Nowhere is the genius strategy more clear than in the way Trump has positioned the trade reset and confrontation with China. The latest set of statistics from the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) shows all of the professional pundit claims of higher prices on imported goods due to Trump tariffs are simply disconnected from reality. Import prices advanced 1.8 percent from December to April before the downturn in May. The price index for overall imports decreased 1.5 percent over the past 12 months, matching the drop in January. The archbishop wore a hard-hat helmet, burnt wood debris was still visible and only about 30 people were let inside, but Notre Dame Cathedral on Saturday held its first Mass since the devastating April 15th fire that ravaged its roof and toppled its masterpiece spire. Exactly two months after the blaze engulfed the landmark Gothic building in the French capital, the service was celebrated by Paris Archbishop Michel Aupetit in a chapel behind the choir, a place confirmed by construction experts as safe. French Culture Minister Franck Riester said this week the cathedral remains in a "fragile" state, especially its vaulted ceiling, which is still at risk of collapsing.
