At roughly the same time one Republican said he was thinking about co-sponsoring a carbon tax bill, another was tacitly telling Prince Charles to buzz off with his crackpot global warming theories. Thankfully, the latter is president and can veto lousy legislation as well as withdraw from counterproductive international climate pacts. Some Republicans in Congress, prominent among them Utah Sen. Mitt Romney, are warming (yes, warming) to the idea of enacting a carbon tax to do Al Gore’s work, which is “fighting” a windmill called “climate change.” E&E news reports Romney is “considering co-sponsoring a carbon tax bill amid shifting attitudes in the GOP

A 'carbon tax' just a polite term meaning robbing the taxpayers and government for a fraudulent hoax known as climate change. Way to go Mr. Brylcream you're right over the target and the President can veto it.

Most Adult thinking people KNOW there is no such thing as Climate Change. I'm 78, I know the Seasons change. Some years you have 2 feet of snow by Thanksgiving, other years none. Some years you have Hurricanes, some years none. It's a cycle, not climate change. The only thing about Climate Change is the money that changes hands. Look how RICH Al Gore became flying around the country telling others to conserve energy. Meanwhile he has three homes and his own Plane! Thinking Adults see right through this Scam. Mitt must be making money off it and so must Old Prince Charles! Buying "Credits" that allow you to fly in your private plane is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of, but many Democrats do it so that they can continue to live their lavish lifestyle. Imagine if they had to give up their Mansions because of the Electricity they burn! Nope! They buy credits to "offset" the damage they're doing. Yep! That will make a difference!

Romney makes me feel like such a fool! I despise the man! I cannot believe that I ever respected him enough to give him my vote for the presidency. But then, I have lived my life in McCain territory. Thankfully, I have experienced Donald J. Trump. Perhaps I can move beyond such preening toads and now believe that conservatives can be fighters.

We should not, however, forget the debt we owe to Mitt Romney. If he hadn't let No-Brain Barack beat him in 2012, the MAGA movement and the Trump presidency would never have happened. The nation needed 8 full years of Decline and Decay to understand that the GOPe was never going to fix things.

I live with my son, who like myself, is a staunch conservative. I remember back in 2012 we would argue all the time about Mitt Romney. He would say Romney was a snake and not to be trusted. I couldn't understand where he was coming from with those claims. So now I know and have to admit was totally wrong. Usually, a good judge of character, I can't believe how off I was about Mitt Romney. He doesn't represent Utah and they can do far better than electing a fake Republican who uses Brylcream.

I am not so sure Charles will be king. It would not surprise me with the levels of dislike for both Charles and Camilla that still exist in the UK, if Parliament decides to not rubber stamp the succession. Charles is a rotten host, for he could have totally discussed his love of architecture and historical architecture with an honest to goodness builder tycoon. But he had to hit the sewer instead. One thing I will say for Diana, she was right about Charles. He is totally unfit to be king. This is like watching HM's uncle David and Wallis Simpson back in the day. Both men are/were the most infantile and self absorbed people ever.

Surely Miller’s body was recovered by a local fisherman Wednesday after she vanished from a beach the day before in Cabarete, Dominican Today reported. Joe Biden is testing a new campaign tactic in Iowa: Insult the voters as ignoramuses. Yeah, that’ll work. Like President Trump, I have my fingers crossed that Biden’s lead over the rest of the Democrats’ filed will continue and that he will secure the Democrats’ nomination. But time is not on our side because Biden can’t hide from the public enough to prevent him spewing a critical mass of stupid comments. The Great State of Iowa grabbed the national spotlight when Jimmy Carter managed to grab attention by winning the until-then-obscure Iowa Caucuses and parlaying that into sudden national prominence and the nomination and presidency. Ever since

It's too bad Democratic Party chairman Tom Perez didn't position all 24 Democratic Party candidates for president up on some luminously lighted stage and then called their names, one by one, in no particular order, to come on down and stand on one of the 20 elephant stools for the semi-finals, each contender grasping his or her face with both hands, mouths open with surprised joy. That how it happens with the Miss Universe pageant, and Democrats have pretty well adapted the same set-up, announcing their 20 semi-finalists for the Democratic Party's nomination from a pool of 24. Like Miss Universe, they, too, have allotted 20 spots.

In the wake of layoffs of more than 1,000 journalists from BuzzFeed, Verizon Media Group (owner of outlets like HuffPost) and Gannett earlier this year, #LearntoCode became a controversial phrase tweeted at and about those who lost their jobs. One side argued it was harassment. Twitter took this view, suspending accounts of those using the slogan. Another side contended the phrase was a sardonic expression of just deserts for a class of professionals unsympathetic to the loss of jobs in industries like coal mining, thanks to clean energy ideals. A month after these layoffs, Investor’s Business Daily quietly shuttered its own opinion section.

What is this thing called camp, and who can solve its mystery? In 1964, the 33-year-old American writer Susan Sontag, the high priestess of the New York intellectual world, published her iconic essay on “the sensibility, unmistakably modern, that goes by the name of ‘camp.’” Without precise or exact definition, camp indicates love of the unnatural, artifice, exaggeration, esoteric, something of a private code. Camp is discernable in objects, movies, clothes, furniture, popular songs, novels, buildings, and people. In people, the sensibility is markedly attenuated and strongly exaggerated, playful, anti-serious, attempts to be extraordinary.

The Democrat-led House has been notoriously do-nothing about anything other than attempting to impeach President Trump. No budget, no promised infrastructure bills, no health care reforms, not even an explicit condemnation of anti-Semitism, and shamed by socialist-led Mexico for doing zero about a massive migrant surge pouring over our southern border. Actually, on that front, less than zero, given that they passed a bill to incentivize additional illegal immigration. A real bright bunch, and quite likely to be thrown out come 2020, given such a record reflected in their 20% approval rating.
