U.S. Navy forces now gathered in the Persian Gulf region will be hit with “unimaginable reciprocal blows” if any attack is made on Iran, a top military aide to the country’s leadership said Sunday. “Zionists” were also warned they face the same fate in the announcement. General Rahim Safavi told the local Fars newsagency Iran has the ability to hit far beyond its borders and its enemies should take note. Every dog barks in his own backyard-the Iranians are being loud in a propagandtastic display. They know, if the gloves come off, their little fleet of bathtub rubber duckies will be dispatched easily. Trump isn't going to start a war-but if the Iranians provoke an incident then PDT will make they regret it.

New Quinnipiac poll shows Biden leading Dems,
Trump not getting credit for the economy

A newly released Quinnipiac University Poll shows that that favorable feelings about the economy aren't helping President Donald Trump's approval ratings — even though the state of the economy is one of his favorite talking points. It also shows that Joe Biden has the highest favorability ratings among the Democratic field. According to the poll, 71% of the voters say that the economy is "good" or "excellent," the highest proportion of favorable feelings on the economy in nearly 18 years of Quinnipiac's polling. Last month's economic data showed that unemployment in the United States had fallen to 3.6%, a 50-year low. That said, 45% of voters disapproved

Sunday on CNN’s “Reliable Sources,” CNN White House chief correspondent Jim Acosta revealed one his “regrets” in life is the media not standing together in solidarity. Acosta lamented he has “missed some opportunities” to challenge President Donald Trump labeling the media “the enemy of the people.” “You know, I wish at times that the press had been a bit more in solidarity with one another in standing up to this White House and saying, ‘Listen, ‘You know, the president can’t call us the enemy of the people. We’re not going to go along with that.’ Acosta told host Brian Stelter. “I think we’ve missed some opportunities here and there to challenge that.”

Pro-life activists in Connecticut say the fact that a bill intended to place faith-based pregnancy care centers under the thumb of the state attorney general died in the State Senate this week is miraculous. (Tweet) olfgang also told CT Mirror the death of the bill in the State Senate after it passed the House – with Democrat majorities in each chamber – was “an act of God.” The bill, introduced by Democrats and lobbied for by abortion industry advocates such as NARAL, made the claim pro-life pregnancy centers engage in “deceptive advertising practices” that lure women into believing they offer abortions.

Failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton claimed Saturday that one “cannot read” special counsel Robert Mueller’s report without concluding that President Donald Trump committed obstruction of justice. “You cannot read the report, chapter and verse, fact after fact, without reaching those conclusions,” Clinton then stated the American public is expecting fatigue with respect to the media’s insistent covering of the special counsel’s findings and want to get on with their “normal lives.” “People just want to quit hearing about it and get back to their normal lives. There is nothing normal about undermining the rule of law,” she said, per the Associated Press. “There is nothing normal about attacking the press.

The Supreme Court decided an Indiana abortion case last month with an unsigned, three-page compromise opinion that had something for both conservative and liberal justices to like. They quarreled anyway. It's been that way a lot this term. "Justice (Ruth Bader) Ginsburg's dissent ... makes little sense," Associate Justice Clarence Thomas wrote in a footnote to a 20-page concurrence. He said the state's regulation of fetal remains disposal, which the court upheld, does not burden the "mother's right to abort that (already aborted) child." "Justice Thomas's footnote displays more heat than light," Ginsburg responded, adding pointedly that "a woman who exercises her constitutionally protected right to terminate a pregnancy is not a 'mother.'"

President Donald Trump has announced an immigration reform deal with the Mexican government which likely will allow border officials to end the catch-and-release of Central American migrants. Ending catch-and-release is a huge win for Americans and Trump because it means border officials now have a legal alternative to the catch-and-release rules which allow migrants to legally enter the United States if they bring children and claim asylum. Those catch-and-release rules set by Congress and the courts also allow the migrants to get work permits before their asylum court hearings, which are now backlogged for two or more years. Instead of catch-and-release, the migrants can be returned to Mexico

A survey recently released by the Public Policy Institute of California found that President Donald Trump is more popular in the deep blue state than the Democratic legislature. Democratic consultant Steve Maviglio recently told the Los Angeles Times, “All they hear from Sacramento are proposals for more taxes and more spending for everyone except the middle class. And they rightfully wonder where the high taxes they already are paying are going.” While the president’s approval ratings are underwater with only 38 percent of Californians approving of his job, this pales in comparison to the state legislature having only 34 percent among likely voters having confidence in them.

The deal to avert tariffs that President Trump announced with great fanfare on Friday night consists largely of actions that Mexico had already promised to take in prior discussions with the United States over the past several months, according to officials from both countries who are familiar with the negotiations. Friday’s joint declaration says Mexico agreed to the “deployment of its National Guard throughout Mexico, giving priority to its southern border.” But the Mexican government had already pledged to do that in March during secret talks in Miami between Kirstjen Nielsen, then the secretary of homeland security, and Olga Sanchez, the Mexican secretary of the interior, the officials said.

Lake Erie and Lake Superior — two of the five that make up the Great Lakes — broke records for water levels this May. Lakes Michigan and Huron could follow suit. Naturally, climate change is getting the blame. “We are undoubtedly observing the effects of a warming climate in the Great Lakes,” says Richard Rood, a University of Michigan climate scientist. But just a few years ago, climate scientists were insisting that a warming climate would cause water levels to decline. In 2008, Science Daily reported on a study that attributed the decline in Great Lakes water levels to global warming.
