Soon, John Dean will be the Democratic House Judiciary Committee’s opening witness in the majority’s quest to keep the Mueller report at the forefront of the national consciousness. As a former member of President Nixon’s White House staff, Dean has become a mainstream media darling, who is frequently trotted out to assert that some supposed Republican scandal is “worse than Watergate.” He’s hardly on the inside of anything Republican today, but he certainly knows about Watergate, because he played such a central part throughout the scandal’s unfolding.
While Dean’s memorable 1973 appearance before the Senate Watergate Committee was both a dramatic performance and devastating to President Nixon, the deviousness

It sounds about right for Nadler to have Dean, a convicted felon & disbarred lawyer, as a witness. A witness to what? The Nixon tapes?

Much of this is news to me. As one around at the time, I just wanted the ugliness to end, I did no follow-up digging for info. A depressing read this is and the monkeys continue hollowing for whatever manufactured reason today.
".. he remains a media hero, the toast of the liberal Eastern Establishment, because he changed his story of what had happened to save himself and to sink his former colleagues." Rot in hell, John Dean.

Was he a Dem "plant" in the Nixon White House?

So the dhimmicrats are looking to reprise their original successful coup against the hapless Nixon. I always thought Sirica looked shady, and that there was much more to Watergate "witnesses" than we were told. Withholding exculpatory evidence is the action of criminals hiding behind the color of their offices. That, BTW, is how Senator Ted Stevens was cheated out of his Alaska Senate seat. I hope the Republicans on nadler's [sic, he is a tiny man undeserving of capital letters] committee rip Dean's guts out using his own background to discredit him and make him look the fool and tool that he is.

Wasn't Mr. Dean involved because his girlfriend/wife/significant female other at the time was involved in, shall we say, the sale , lease or rental of physical favors in the DC area at the time?

Alas, Nadler saying he doesn’t believe impeachment is warranted, so will John Dean have to disappear into the woodwork yet again?

I believe Nixon was a hapless bystander and listened to the likes of the braggart G. Gordan Liddy with his 'plumbers'. The third rate break in artist (the plumbers) led by Liddy were stupid. The rat dupe Dean switched sides and sang like a song bird. Dean hastily married his prostitute wife so she couldn't testify against him. The 'Plumbers' weren't looking for information on democrat strategies they were looking for the prostitute's 'black book' that contained names of democrat customers who sought sexual favors. Liddy thought once they had dirt on the democrats they could be blackmailed. Nixon was just too paranoid to cope so he resigned. The biggest democrat coup of all times along with the New York Times was forcing Nixon to resign after his poll numbers dropped and the Republicans in the Senate approached him to quit. This is the tactic by democrats today to get Trumps popularity numbers down so he resigns like Nixon did. Nadler now trots out this felon for what? Some more grandstanding? I would like to see Dean mistress/wife sitting behind the now 'old fool' while testifying to Humpty Dumpty Nadler with his ole trouser belt tugged up around his fat bloated body.

Let is also remember that Deep Throat was an assistant director of the FBI. I doubt Felt was acting alone. Fifty years ago the Deep State was able to force a popular president to resign. They've been entrenching their positions for the last five decades. As the breadth and depth of the Deep State's resources and the current coup is revealed, my wonderment at the miracle of President Trump's election increases exponentially.
