Donald Trump has left Britain at the end of his whirlwind three-day state visit after the Queen told him: 'I hope you come to this country again soon'. Mr Trump and his wife Melania, who moved on to Ireland this afternoon before going to France tomorrow, joined the monarch and Prince Charles to speak to some of the 300 Second World War veterans who fought on the Normandy beaches 75 years ago. As they posed for the final photograph at the D-Day 75 commemoration event in Portsmouth, the President told the Queen: 'It was a great honour to be with you' and Her Majesty replied:

Too bad she can't slap some sense into her grandsons and their wives who seem to forget that if it weren't for the U.S., at best, they'd be puppets speaking German, and at worst, commoners speaking German.

There you have it CNN! The Queen likes POTUS than the other classless American who married into her family

The Queen has determined that Trump is the real deal. She probably found it refreshing to see real leadership in the United States for a change.

I hope this site gets back normal soon. I have to turn off my pop up blocker now to comment. Then anti Trump ads/videos are on the site!
This is not what I come to Lucianne to see!
Anyway- the Queens smile was genuine for the Trumps and that was truly lovely to see.

I would love to see video of the 93 year old flirting with our beautiful First Lady! So cute!!!
Completely agree with #1. I'm most disappointed in William and Kate. I expect it from Harry.

To top it off President Trump didn't even give her a CD with all his speeches.

I really cannot understand why no networks carried the entire tribute. I would love to see it all. It will never happen again. Fox had more of Nashville this morning than this great tribute. I enjoyed the pictures & videos they were amazing.

I have come to love this Queen. Never thought i'd say that, because i have only one King. But this woman is steady and strong and a charmer! Love those shoes she wears! nothing fussy there, just good, steady, stable and strong. God bless her!
So enjoying watching how well our President and Melania have been received in Britain, despite media efforts to denigrate and disrespect. Too bad that so many in the media are pig-headed fools, unable to even approach fair-mindedness or objectivity.
And deeply appreciated President Trump's reading of President Roosevelt's Prayer on the eve of the auspicious events of D-Day.

Listen, this Queen, God bless her and give her many more years, is smart, strong, patriotic, decent and knows exactly what is going on. She remembers the War. She gets it. She knows her allies. She respects our President. Don’t ever underestimate this great Lady. I’m sure all of you have perfect adult children who do everything you say, right? Please. Give me a break. I say God Save the Queen. She’s one awesome gal.

Can't say I've ever seen the Queen tip her hand as far as political preference is concerned, but I think there was a wink and a grin this time around.

I had no doubt our President and First Lady would get along famously with the Queen. She has had to abide her share of phony politicians, in her own country and abroad. Trump is greatly experienced meeting and charming world movers and shakers even before becoming POTUS. He is comfortable in his own skin and utterly himself no matter the company. You can imagine how refreshing that is for her. I loved watching the British press snobs fail in their attempts to sabotage the visit. Our FLOTUS did America so proud, as well.
