What's worse than being a 'caged'

open-borders advocate's migrant center

In a story that got no attention because it fit no established 'narrative,' two reporters from the Los Angeles Times exposed a revolting scandal: The foul, inhuman conditions of a vaunted L.A. child migrant center called Casa Libre led by a top open-borders advocate billed as a "champion of immigrant rights." In their report, Cindy Carcamo and Paloma Esquivel begin: Los Angeles lawyer Peter Schey has long been a trailblazing courtroom defender of immigrant youth. He helped argue the Supreme Court case that ensured the right of children without legal status to attend public schools.

Comments:

It's never about the kids with these leftists.

Since a disturbingly high number of these kids are found to not be in the custody of their actual parents, they are safe from trafficking as well. There is a horrible scandal (or more) just waiting to bust out about democrats and their open borders crowd. I am for deporting and sealed borders, but I am also against the Left looking the other way when it comes to child trafficking. To me, that is as bad as abortion on several levels. Just another form of the party of death stealing lives.

Anytime a leftie advocate proclaims anything, consider him or her a disingenuous liar.

The cage story was all the rage, the story about a one in three chance of the "parents" children are separated from are not in fact their parents, not so newsworthy.

Here in Texas it's the wonderful Baptist churches running the immigrant centers. Most not nearly as bad as the one in the article I'm sure, but at around 800 bucks per kid per day from your taxes they can at least come up with food.

Just another outrage in the life of leftists. This clown is a lawyer too, which is not a good quality in my book. Imagine the profits being made on child and adult prostitutes, slave labor and worse. No wonder they want open borders. It's like the Morlocks keeping the gates open for the Eloi. The sad part is that the travelers in the caravans have no idea what awaits them in the Promised Land.

CUCUTA, Colombia (Reuters) - Wearing camouflage shirts and combat boots, a Venezuelan militia group stands in formation in the Colombian city of Cucuta as their commander, a former Venezuelan army sergeant, outlines plans to seize towns across the border before heading to Caracas to help oust President Nicolas Maduro. Eight men, who said they were defectors from Venezuelan police, army and intelligence services, had gathered near the two nations’ tense frontier, from where they said they will lead an attack aimed at overthrowing Maduro and handing the reins of power to opposition leader Juan Guaido.

3 modelers predict Trump reelection: report 12 replies

Three modelers are predicting President Trump will win reelection in 2020 based on a combination of economic data and incumbent advantages, according to a column in The New York Times. Steven Rattner wrote that Ray Fair of Yale favors Trump to win based on a model that combines incumbency and gross domestic product growth rates. The model predicted Barack Obama's 2008 popular vote margin within a fraction of a percentage point and got within two-tenths of a point for his 2012 vote share, Rattner, who served as a counselor to the Treasury secretary during the Obama administration, added.

The left, which has been so eager to topple statues of Confederate generals, slave-owning founding fathers such as Thomas Jefferson, even Kate Smith who sang objectionable racist songs early in her career, now has a Martin Luther King, Jr. problem. Venezuelan Ambassador to the United States Carlos Vecchio published a video Monday showing the extensive state of disrepair in which a small group of communists left the U.S. embassy after illegally occupying it for days. Vecchio, appointed by legitimate Venezuelan President Juan Guaidó, published a video on Twitter that showed the building full of trash, loose cables, unwashed dishes, and in a state of general disrepair. “This is how the usurpers and invaders of the regime left our embassy in #Washington,” he wrote. “Nicolás Maduro is destruction and corruption. This is why there is urgency for ceasing the usurpation in #Venezuela. A country of progress for all will soon be reborn”:

Greece is headed to a snap election after Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras suffered a crushing defeat in European Parliament elections. The vote could come as early as June 30, after the 44-year-old leftist leader admitted the outcome left him little choice. His main opposition, New Democracy, scored about 10 percentage points more than the premier’s own Syriza party. Tsipras has shown himself to be the ultimate political survivor but he will have a hard time staying in the game after such a beating.

A federal judge on Friday night blocked President Donald Trump from tapping into Defense Department funds to build parts of his US-Mexico border wall. In a 56-page ruling, Judge Haywood Gilliam of the Northern District of California blocked the administration from moving forward with specific projects in Texas and Arizona, saying Trump couldn't disburse the funds without congressional approval. The lawsuit that prompted the ruling was filed by the American Civil Liberties Union on behalf of the plaintiffs, the Sierra Club and Southern Border Communities Coalition. Although Friday's ruling does not prevent the Trump administration from using funds from other sources to build the projects, it's a

Is House Speaker Nancy Pelosi trying to rev up and motivate President Trump's ace campaign manager whose talents were key to winning the presidency for Trump? Sure looks like it, because here's what the haughty House Speaker did to Conway during yesterday's meeting between Trump and Democratic congressional leaders. Pelosi treated Conway like a maid. The help. A servant girl. The stylist. A makeup girl. The ball boy. The way she treats everyone "beneath" her in Presidio Heights. And something that is going to disgust a lot of people in the U.S., because a lot of us know what it's like to be in that position.

It is tempting for normal people to ignore our president when he starts ranting about treason and corruption at the FBI. I understand the temptation. I’m the object of many of his rants, and even I try to ignore him. But we shouldn’t, because millions of good people believe what a president of the United States says. In normal times, that’s healthy. But not now, when the president is a liar who doesn’t care what damage he does to vital institutions. We must call out his lies that the FBI was corrupt and committed treason, that we spied on the Trump campaign and tried to defeat Donald Trump.

The New York Times has made waves with a new report on sightings by U.S. Navy aviators of unidentified flying objects between 2014 and 2015. But the UFO issue, which follows a similar 2017 story, is far more interesting than the reporters let on. The U.S. government does not know what these UFOs actually are. The report focuses on witnesses of so-called "Tic Tacs," but other shapes and sizes of UFOs have also been credibly recorded by the U.S., British, Chinese, Russian, and other governments for the past 65 years. But what are these strange things? Most informed individuals I have talked to believe that the Tic Tac-like UFOs are unmanned vehicles
