It was supposed to be part of the relaunch of Beto O’Rourke’s fading Democratic primary campaign to recapture the empty charisma he showed while live-streaming his dental cleaning. The hour-long town hall on CNN was more of a re-fizzle. The abysmal overnight audience ratings proved the ancient show biz adage about customers: If they don’t want to come, you can’t stop ’em. Nielsen’s study of the total audience showed that viewers were less than excited about watching the bland ex-congressman from El Paso smile and dance around questions. The town hall’s total audience was 30 percent smaller than a normal Tuesday evening audience. That’s enough to give the show

Even if 100% of CNN's audience watched, most of them had to catch a plane and couldn't see all of it. Grin. CNN is a dead end.

CNN appearance- Exactly the desperation we would expect from a deflated suit. All those big money guys who shoveled their cash into the toilet during his senatorial bid are not going to do that again.

If you have to toss up the likes of Robero O'Rourquez, the 46 year old millennial wannabe in hopes of improving you ratings, bust out the peanut butter. You're toast.

First of all the ratings were low because no one watches CNN. Beto is begging to go on FOX.

The ONLY reason that Capt. Skateboard was taken seriously by the Enemedia is that they really despise a good conservative like Cruz. Their support was anti-Cruz, never actually pro-Richard O'Rourke. And now, with Cruz not running for the Dem Prez nomination.....they really see that he is just a screwy old skateboarder.

Here’s an interesting juxtaposition of polls showing how one emotional national controversy can develop and endure bitterly for decades while another doesn’t, both thanks to the timing of landmark Supreme Court decisions. A new Gallup Poll out this week shows support for same-sex marriage has held in the 60-to-mid-60s range since the Supreme Court approved it just two years ago next month. Support for gay marriage has been trending upward since 1996 when Gallup first asked the question and found only 27 percent approval. Now, let’s look at the divisive issue of abortion. It was issued by the Supreme Court in 1973, the Roe v Wade decision.

Some inexplicable things come out of our nation’s capital. Occasionally, similar puzzlements emerge elsewhere in the nation. A current one is the developing outbreak of preventable measles that’s become so serious now that federal officials have threatened some with unusually restrictive travel bans. Some of us were unaware that such a federal Do Not Board List exists for civilians who have nothing to do with suspected terrorism. But it does. And health officials in five states have contacted the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention about banning travel by some citizens suspected of being in the 21-day incubation period for

Another front is opening these days in the eternal battle of the sexes. Only this one in the workplace is not about equal pay or equal job opportunities. It’s about the thermostat. A new study reveals what a lot of couples already knew: Women like their living spaces a lot warmer than men do. In fact, women’s brains work significantly better in warmer work temperatures. Men prefer cooler room temperatures. Perhaps because they rarely wear sleeveless dresses and shirts or skirts on the job. The issue is likely to be an

A new national poll of Democrats and Democrat-leaning independents confirms Joe Biden maintains a comfortable 19-point lead over Bernie Sanders and the rest of the polyglot posse seeking the party’s presidential nomination next year. But even more interesting at this early stage is that the new Hill-HarrisX Poll out Wednesday also confirms several other recent surveys that found Democrats are much more interested in ousting President Donald Trump than finding a candidate that matches their ideological leaning. If this continues, it’s good news

How is it possible to have an American flag that’s too large, you might ask? Especially on a national holiday honoring the too many who’ve given their lives for it. Well, the town elders of Statesville, N.C. have informed the owner of the local Camping World outlet that its 40 x 80 foot American flag is too large. [Snip] The town is suing Camping World Gander Outdoors, a NASCAR sponsor, seeking a fine of $50 a day. Camping World’s owner suggests the town leaders find a flagpole and sit on it. The owner is Marcus Lemonis, a billionaire businessman and host of CNBC’s most popular reality TV show “The Profit.”

Well, it’s official. Washington’s governor has signed that freaky human composting funeral legislation that allows residents to recycle loved ones like Seattle requires food waste be composted. This makes that zany, wet state the very first and quite possibly the very last to allow composting of human bodies instead of standard burial or cremation. [Snip] According to the provisions, licensed facilities are now authorized to accept your loved one’s bodily remains for “natural organic reduction.” After several weeks, two wheelbarrow loads of organic mulch are returned to the family. “Where

By the holidays this year the historically ginormous field of 23 Democrat wannabe presidents will likely be cut at least in half. The debates that start next month in Miami will expose several for the shallow creeks they are. Among those likely to get clipped is Robert Francis O’Rourke, who calls himself Beto because Robert Francis is insufficiently down home. It happens every presidential primary campaign, which

There are few things that a Democratic state legislature can’t write a new law about. Now, the New York Senate is working on a new statute to ban texting while walking. Unfortunately, New York is not the first United States locality seeking to subvert Darwin’s survival of the fittest law. As in Hawaii and some municipalities in, of course, California, it would impose fines between $25 and $250 on people for texting, browsing online, emailing or playing games on their cellphone while in a crosswalk

Classic films now face the wrath of perpetually enraged social justice warriors. Last weekend’s "Watters World" on Fox News Channel analyzed the impact of this politically correct phenomenon. Exhibit A was Mel Brooks’ “Blazing Saddles,” the single funniest motion picture ever committed to celluloid. Jesse Watters’ guest, Cathy Areu, publisher of Catalina Magazine, responded to a clip of the comedy-Western in which Brooks himself portrays a Yiddish speaking American Indian chief. After securing safe passage for a family of black pioneers rolling West in their stagecoach, the feather-headdress-clad Indian bids them, “auf wiedersehen.”

Bill Weld conceded in an interview this week that Republican voters have little appetite for his insurgent primary bid to block President Trump from renomination in 2020. The former Massachusetts governor did not dispute Trump’s high approval ratings with self-identified Republicans, nor claim a silent groundswell for his long shot campaign. But Weld predicted Trump would grow vulnerable to a primary challenge in the months ahead, insisting his campaign was a key element in softening the political support the president enjoys inside the GOP.

Ed Yang, the author of the piece, argues that, from an early age, children already have a strong sense of identity. He contends that some children as young as three already have a strong sense of their identity. If a three-year-old boy tells his parents
