The federal appeals court in the District of Columbia will fast-track proceedings in the fight between President Trump and House Democrats over a subpoena to the president’s accounting firm, the court said Thursday. In a two-page order, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit set a July 12 date for a three-judge panel to hear oral arguments in the president’s challenge of the subpoena from the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee to Mazars USA, Trump’s accounting firm.

If a few rogue congressmen, because they happen to temporarily be in the majority, can do this to a sitting President, think of what they will put in place if they ever get the House, the Senate and Presidency all at the same time. This is heading somewhere no one in this country wants to be. Vote these seditionists out of office at the earliest.

It's when they don't that they pull this stuff. Watergate, Iran-Contra, years of harassing Trump; all done by Democrat congresses against Republican presidents.

Would someone please tell Nadless and Schiffforbrains that a president may only be impeached for malfeasance while in office? Ten year old tax returns are useless and #3 is correct.

Are we to assume the clowns in this circus are skilled enough to grasp the complicated depth of the President's tax returns? This is nothing more than a fishing expedition to find something, anything, to further undermine this President. He should now sic the IRS on them all, starting with Pelosi, Schumer and Nadler. Throw in Cummings and Green while you are at it.

Bill Weld conceded in an interview this week that Republican voters have little appetite for his insurgent primary bid to block President Trump from renomination in 2020. The former Massachusetts governor did not dispute Trump’s high approval ratings with self-identified Republicans, nor claim a silent groundswell for his long shot campaign. But Weld predicted Trump would grow vulnerable to a primary challenge in the months ahead, insisting his campaign was a key element in softening the political support the president enjoys inside the GOP.

In a book from the 1950s entitled And Not a Shot is Fired: How Parliament Can Play a Revolutionary Part in the Transition to Socialism, Jan Kozak, a Czech Communist, explains how Czechoslovakia was transformed from a free country into a communist dictatorship in 1948 without armed revolution taking place. They voted the communists in and, once they had a taste of power, they held on to it for 40 years. That would not be possible in the United States, right? After all, President Trump has said America will never be a socialist country.

Is there no end to Democrat corruption? Here's what's going on with one of the most supposedly respectable of them, Rep. Elijah Cummings of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, according to the Washington Examiner: A charity run by the wife of Rep. Elijah Cummings received millions from special interest groups and corporations that had business before her husband's committee and could have been used illegally, according to an IRS complaint filed by an ethics watchdog group. Cummings, 68, a Maryland Democrat, is chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

After taking President Trump's endorsement to get himself elected senator, Mitt Romney has made quite a show of turning on Trump. The last two incidents have been notable: He declared GOP "maverick" congressman Justin Amash "courageous" for joining the Democrats and calling for the impeachment of President Trump in the House. He also made this ad hominem attack on Trump over the weekend, playing Puritan for us: On Sunday, Romney was back at it, attacking the president's character. "I think he could substantially improve his game when it comes to helping shape the character of the country," Romney said on CNN.

Few things offend Bernie Sanders as much as people escaping from command-and-control government systems, even minority students whose parents are desperate to get their kids a decent education. The socialist wants to turn George Wallace on his head and not block black children from attending traditional public schools but block them from exiting them for something better. The New York Times the other day wrote a long, devastating report on the then-Burlington, Vt., mayor’s love affair with the Sandinistas in the 1980s. So many decades later, his reflex is the same: If the Sandinistas wouldn’t favor it, he’s not inclined to like it much, either.

A brazen thief stole chemotherapy medication from an Oklahoma City man’s doorstep just minutes after it was delivered, delaying his treatment for brain cancer. James Mills, 43, said his planned round of chemotherapy on Monday would not happen after a hooded suspect swiped the potentially life-saving delivery from his porch on Saturday. “I checked the door and didn’t see the package,” Mills told KFOR. “I double checked and they said it had been delivered. I check the security cameras, and I saw the UPS driver deliver it, then about eight minutes later another individual comes up, grabs it and takes off.”

Spurned Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland — whose chance at a spot on the high court was derailed by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell — may have a key say on whether President Trump’s financial records are released to the House. Trump’s lawyers on Tuesday appealed a lower court’s decision ordering that the records be released to the House Oversight Committee to the Washington, DC, Circuit Court of Appeals — which Garland heads as chief judge. President Barack Obama nominated Garland to replace Justice Antonin Scalia in 2016 after Scalia’s death. But McConnell refused to even schedule a meeting of the Senate Judiciary Committee to consider Garland’s nomination,

Classic films now face the wrath of perpetually enraged social justice warriors. Last weekend’s "Watters World" on Fox News Channel analyzed the impact of this politically correct phenomenon. Exhibit A was Mel Brooks’ “Blazing Saddles,” the single funniest motion picture ever committed to celluloid. Jesse Watters’ guest, Cathy Areu, publisher of Catalina Magazine, responded to a clip of the comedy-Western in which Brooks himself portrays a Yiddish speaking American Indian chief. After securing safe passage for a family of black pioneers rolling West in their stagecoach, the feather-headdress-clad Indian bids them, “auf wiedersehen.”
