The journalist who broke the story about former Attorney General Loretta Lynch´s tarmac meeting with Bill Clinton on a hot summer´s day in 2016 doubts the former president´s claim that he played golf while in Phoenix. That chance encounter on June 27, 2016, led to a firestorm of criticism, as it took place during the FBI´s investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton´s use of an unauthorized email server and the presidential election in which she was the Democratic candidate. Lynch and Bill Clinton claim his wife´s emails were never discussed. Both say Clinton brought up golf,

I know there are many golf courses in Phoenix but how long would it take to ask anyone who owned or operated (or played) one if the links were crawling with Secret Service and others involved in such an outing?

This is a story ??? I don’t believe Bill Clinton any time he opens his mouth !! He lies even when it wouldn’t hurt to tell the truth.

Of course they talked about the investigation. Why else would Bill want to meet with her? She will NEVER reveal the truth. He doesn´t know truth.

I once hosted a visit to my campus by Secretary of State Muskie, and was surprised at the details brought forth by his handlers. Where he would stay (not on campus) what he would eat, what he would smoke (a certain kind of cigar) what he would drink at the reception, (two vodka martinis) how long the University president and I should delay Muskie when we greeted him (exactly two minutes) and on and on with details.
That is the way a cabinet member travels, with his own security to screen those he came into contact with.
Therefore, when I saw the fake news stories about the spontaneous meeting on the tarmac between Little Loretta and Dollar Bill Clinton, I scoffed at the excuse.
That is not the way cabinet members roll.

Ever been to Phoenix AZ in the summer? 110 degrees is about an average day. 100 feels cool by comparison. People have water coolers to lower the temp of their swimming pools down from above 90 degrees.
Now picture pasty-skinned, not very healthy, old, whitey-white white boy Bill Clinton playing golf in those conditions. Why would he? He could be on the supremely pleasant Torrey Pines Golf Club in La Jolla in about 2 hours by private jet and limo.

That the Clinton-Obama Crime Syndicate© thought a tarmac meeting a day before Von Pantsuit´s exoneration would pass muster shows how confidant they were in pulling off the putsch

WJC, ´´That´s my lie and I´m sticking to it.´´ But the truth of the matter is Lynch called Comey from her phone aboard her flight and told him to quash the e-mail matter any way he could. And he did.

It doesn´t matter what was discussed between the two it was the optics. Clinton is clever and knew once this was leaked/observed he had Lynch cornered in Hillary´s case about her e-mails. Lynch was the one in the hard spot here if she made the wrong decision.
Golf game, grand kids or yoga lessons it was the optics (for blackmail by Clinton) plain a simple. This was totally a Bill Clinton set up.

Eric Felton:
Let’s assume for the sake of argument that Lynch was not lying to Congress. If so, it seems to have dawned on her rather late that Clinton had compromised her, had put her in a jam. What if that’s exactly what he set out to do? It would explain the ex-president’s otherwise inexplicable behavior -- how one of the great glad-handers of all time leapt onto a plane in order to bore everyone to death. He was anything but clueless; he was demonstrating to the attorney general that he could cause her real trouble, and could do so with cheerful impunity. He didn’t have to make heavy-handed threats or otherwise put himself at risk of an obstruction of justice charge. No, all he had to do was darken the airplane doorway and prattle on with seeming obliviousness about grandkids, travel plans, coal mining, golf, and Brexit.

I´m more in line with #15´s post.
I believe he simply had to be there, and remind her who was likely to become POTUS soon, and everyone knew what that meant.
Ask Lisa Page and Peter Strzok when they questioned how hard they should be looking into the "matter".
Ask all the others who thought they better get on board, or they too would find their careers ending in a quick and messy way, if they even thought about crossing the Clinton´s.
Everyone knew the Clintonista´s were watching and taking names/notes of who was on board, and who wasn´t.

Interesting alternative conclusion to the tarmac meeting between Lynch and Clinton at the end of the report released this month (link in last paragraph of article).
Daniel Chaitin says, if they didn´t discuss the Hillary investigation, that Bill´s supposedly forcing his way on board her plane and "chatting" for such a long time could have been a subtle way of letting her know the trouble he could cause for her. IOW, a threat with "cheerful impunity".
