Three Muslim employees at an Amazon warehouse in Minneapolis say they "have experienced discriminatory treatment, hostile work environment, retaliation, and constructive discharge" at work, according to a letter written by Muslim Advocates. The advocacy group says the three women, identified only as Ms. A, Ms. B. and Ms. C., are all black women of Somali origin. They feel they are being discriminated agains on the basis of their race, religion, and national origin — and they say they are not alone. "The conditions described in their charges reflect a broader pattern and practice of unlawful employment discrimination against Muslim, Somali,

FTA: "Prayer breaks less than 20 minutes are paid, and associates are welcome to request an unpaid prayer break for over 20 minutes for which productivity expectations would be adjusted. We encourage anyone to compare Amazon´s pay, benefits, and workplace to other retailers, and to come take a tour and see firsthand."
Sounds to me that those three want to have "better" treatment than the rest of Amazon´s employees, they aren´t happy with the "rights" in the employee handbook that apply to all religious prayer requests.

Are people never going to learn that you will never satisfy these muslims. If you gave them time to pray, and then gave Christians the same amount of time to pray, the muzzles would claim that the Christian prayer upsets them, is hostile and would have to stop. I´m sure they´ve already complained and had pork products and non-halal meat removed from the cafeteria.

More Somali Muslim black women.
Someone needs to tell them to get a grip or go home. This is not Somalia. Ilhan is not a role model for them.

When inviting people to live in a residence shared with others it is prudent and polite to first ask the other residents if they approve of the new person moving in. If they are not asked before the new person takes up lodging it is inevitable that frictions and resentments will crop up and fester. Muslims from Somalia and other strange places were invited into places like Minneapolis and Lewiston, ME without the knowledge or prior approval of residents. The newcomers are backward, antagonistic, arrogant, violent and demanding but offer nothing of any real value in return. If they have complaints about having to conform to our customs, tough. Many Americans don´t want them here and don’t care if they disapprove of our ways. Elites keep insisting that white people achieve sainthood and be the ones to rise above the difficult situations which abound in human affairs. An impossible expectation, yes, but it keeps us in line while money keeps flowing to the elites themselves and their children.

Christians at work have a far better deal; we can pray in staff meetings, or in the file room, or anywhere else because we don´t have to make a big outward show of it. Look at it this way; at least you´ve GOT a job.

How many breaks do Amazon employees get besides lunch? Why do Muslims need 20 minutes to pray? Why do they need to pray three times at work? Usually an 8-hour work day includes 1/2 hour for lunch, not one hour. Why can´t they pray before they go to work, when they get home from work, and before they go to bed? That would leave two opportunities to pray at work, including at lunch time.
FTA: "The three employees allege Amazon does not offer an adequate space to pray"
But why should any employer provide spaces for prayer in the first place?
FTA: "The conditions described in their charges reflect a broader pattern and practice of unlawful employment discrimination against Muslim, Somali, and East African workers at Amazon,"
How many Somali and East African employees are not Muslim? I´d wager, not many.

I´m sure the Amazon lawyers are telling Bezos that whatever time to pray you give them you´ll have to give every other religion.
Just imagine how many people at Amazon will become religious?
Then will come more religious demands.
It will be ALL or nothing.
Nothing is cheaper.

Ladies, wrapped heads, you have the right to pray in your own space and on your own time. Get over yourselves. You know you didn´t have these rights in Somalia. If you did, why are you here? Not enough Christians in Somalia to murder or chase out?

You knew this was a Christian nation before you got here. But no, you want US to conform to the H-llhole you came from. We need to treat you the same way you treat Christians in your homeland.

Of all my jobs,...I never thought of asking if I could pray on company time. I also never thought of asking if I could watch TV, take a nap, pray, read a book, have a glass of wine or beer or have my wife or girlfriend in for a quickie also. I never asked if I could work on my car or give it a wash. My mean bosses told me that what they were paying me for was to work and that I could do all of those other things on my own time and money.
They were so mean and oppressive. Maybe I should file a law suit against them.
My parents were pretty mean too. They made me clean up my room, mow the lawn and walk and feed the dogs and cats too. It was horrible!! How did I survive such treatment?

Your employer (no matter who it is) has the right to expect you to actually WORK during the time that he is paying you for. Being religious does not give you the right to stop and take that time to pray or other activities.

Amazon warehouse/distribution centers, have 4-hour shifts. There is a break half-way through each shift. And the job pays $15 dollars per hour.
If you can´t work within these guidelines, better find a Muslim employer.
