Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC), the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee who just issued a rogue subpoena of President Donald Trump’s eldest son Donald Trump, Jr., ducked and covered from the media amid the backlash against his attempt to haul Trump, Jr., before his committee. Burr, who issued the subpoena in contravention of an edict from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell that the Russia hoax is now “case closed,” ran away from reporters on Capitol Hill on Thursday when asked about the overwhelming GOP backlash against his move.
Burr is a cowardly POS

Burr has no right to be chairing this committee. This latest debacle is one of a string of hand-offs to Warner to commit anti-Trump mischief.
We need to put on the pressure to have him hand over the reins to a real Conservative, one with the People in mind ,not his personal biases.

Makes me wonder what illegality or sex perversion the Rats are holding over his head. They would sell their own mothers to cause President Trump headaches.

Anyone in his position should be willing and able to defend his actions. The fact that doesn´t want to take the heat now shows him to be a world class coward. It should also show his constituents that a different career would be better for his ´talents´.

The GOP Caucus should remove Sen Burr from the Committee and appoint a solid Republican to the post.

Blame McConnell , he placed him on the unintelligent committee with Creepy Warner who fell for a fake Russian on a fake show with fake evidence on Trump...and it’s on tape ... the senate ignored the tape!

Senator (RINO)(CofC) Burr is not running for re-election. Called his Washington office and recorded message and spoke to a tolerant Human in his Winston Salem office for what it is worth. He and Senator Thom Tillis have ignored their constituents.

Burr should be placing Warner under oath about the tape, not Don Jr!

Sen. Burr seems to have assumed the Jeff Flake role for the remainder of his tenure. I hope NC is looking for a solid conservative to succeed him.

Does any thinking citizen actually respect Congress anymore? It has become the Club for Clowns, filled with demanding, spoiled little brats who are worthless in just about every aspect of leadership and service. How do we get such fools? Yes, there are exceptions, but at least 90% could be replaced by random appointments from the phone book and we probably would be better off.

McConnell needs to replace him immediately and make his subpoena null and void.

Burr signed off on the initial investigation of Trump. Burr should be tarred, feathered, and ridden out of town on a rail. No traitor deserves it more. The coward knows he is a lying traitor, which is why he is in hiding. The Republicans better do more than just not back Burr. McConnell says the Senate is about personnel. Ok, Mr. McConnell, Burr is personnel and is appointed Committee Chairman. The Republicans have some rotten personnel. Why do you allow them to serve as Committee Chairman´s, Mr. McConnell. Saying it will all work out, which you did Mr. McConnell, is not enough. Does Burr have to actually put a knife in your back before you do something? Isn´t betraying the Republicans enough to get stripped of a Committee Chairmanship? Totally disgusting!

I know the man does not seek re-election, but there must be some way we can show our total lack of respect and displeasure toward him.

Burr must be crazy. If we had a reasonable opposition party then things like this might be rational. But with fanatic Democrats like we have now, total war is the only way to conduct political business.

Trey Gowdy was questioned re this, and he "punted" — saying there must be a good reason for Burr´s actions.
Has Gowdy been drinking the Kool Aid too?

The answer why Burr did this is simple. Burr pretends to be a Republican when he´s really a libtard demonrat doing all he can to support that corrupt party. North Carolina needs to get rid of him.

I can remember his campaign mailers, portraying a stand up, conservative, family man. Now I suspect the John Roberts syndrome.
