Almost 500 former Justice Department officials said on Monday in a joint statement that the Mueller report´s findings would justify obstruction charges against President Donald Trump if he were not currently occupying the White House. Attorney General William Barr has said he found insufficient evidence in Mueller´s report to conclude that Trump obstructed justice. Special Counsel Robert Mueller himself made no formal finding one way or the other on that question. "To look at these facts and say that a prosecutor could not probably sustain a conviction for obstruction of justice? ... runs counter to logic and our experience," said

This is literally just payback from DOJ Clinton sycophants who were there when Comey went public with all of the criminal acts committed by Hillary Clinton and then declared that no reasonable prosecutor would have indicted her. First, that wasn´t his call but the rank and file FBI agents that had built the classified email server and obvious obstruction of justice case against her were totally outraged and went public with their condemnation of Comey´s con job. The fact that people still in the DOJ are still so clueless about the proper respect for the investigative process is scary. Drain the swamp already.

So, Mueller was really terrible Special Counsel then.
But the left media said he was the guy who was going to bring Trump down. How did they get it so wrong?

So, maybe Elizabeth Warren, and many others, particularly in the inner-cities, was right and the system is rigged.
That they would make such a statement should send chills to everyone in the criminal justice system.
Looks like they may not be interested in justice but convictions, except when it comes to Hillary.

How can they get a conviction when (a) there is no underlying crime (b) no specific act of obstruction (c) extraordinary openness and cooperation demolishing any claim of corrupt intent. Other than that ALL the evidence is what they call "fruits of a poisoned tree". I would say their logic is entirely corrupted and experience tainted by their motive.

Showing the problem with the Justice Department.
Want to bet these are all from dem administrations? This highlights Barrs statement that we must stop using the criminal justice as a political weapon. That´s how dems use it and they think it is correct. That´s also why we need Conservative judges to shut down that stupidity.

Darn! Hundreds of Democrat and Deep State lawyers who would have indicted Trump and Herr Mueller hires 19 or 20 of them who couldn´t make a case. So he hired stupid lawyers?
(And remember, the "standard" that Herr Mueller and his Swamp Gestapo used was not the DOJ "You can´t indict a sitting President" standard, but a more lenient standard. In other words, a standard where these deep state folks could "justify obstruction charges.")

If Trump were not president, he would not be in a position to "obstruct justice." As president, he may fire Comey and discuss termination of Mueller. Moreover, the so-called obstruction was an alleged attempt to cover up something that had not happened.

500 FORMER officials??? Why are they former officials, did they get fired for incompetence?
This whole thing of the Mueller witch-hunt is such a crock. Suppose Mueller indicted Trump. What would happen next, would the local sheriff come and perp walk Trump into court? I don´t think so, the Secret Service would not like that.
The only way to prosecute a sitting President is by impeachment. This whole Special Prosecutor law is an unconstitutional attempt by Congress to duck their responsibility and instead play politics

It would be very wrong, but in another universe there would be a coordinated no knock raid at 3am on every home of the 500 and anyone else in the home would be strip searched and body searched in front of them. Then they would be cooling themselves in random jails for a week until they started confessing and asking for a plea deal.
THAT´S how the last ´Justice´ dept handled things and every one of these slugs thought that was okey dokey. I pray the indictments start and I pray these scum get sucked into the spiraling drain.

I think that AG Barr made it clear that you must have an underlying crime to have obstruction. What crime was committed? Unless you call denying you are guilty of something a crime, I don´t see where the crime is. Please explain it to me. AN innocent man was accused of treason, he declared that he was innocent and screamed it from the rooftops. The crime? Sorry it seems to me that the real crime here has been committed by the likes of these so called signatories to this sham of a document that falsely accuses the President yet again. These people are sick.

Department of Justice, unlike many federal agencies, hires its own janitorial staff and does not let out jobs to contractors.
So, 500 former janitors? At DOJ? WOW!
BTW, the whole basis of this story is that nobody at DOJ (in the janitorial ranks) understand the EXCLUSIONARY RULE.
Presumably some of the lawyers do... or maybe they don´t!
