The ruthless Saudi government is beheading so many people it needs to recruit a deadly new squad of sword-wielding executioners. The news comes after it slaughtered 37 people in one bloody day last week meaning it is now tipped to kill a record number of its citizens in 2019. The Sharia law-run state has advertised for eight new executioners to handle the projected rise in brutal public beheadings. No special qualifications are needed for the jobs whose main role is “executing a judgement of death” but also involves performing amputations on those convicted of lesser offences. I always find it ironic that a country, who´s history is steeped in the blood of the decapitated, hung, pilloried, keelhauled and those burned at the stake, in a matter of a few short years become the paragons of virtue.
I imagine a country that delivers justice swiftly and brutally has a low crime rate. I dont object to the executions. I object to the kangaroo courts. Something that the Brits know something about.

Taking away Cable TV and conjugal visits are considered cruel punishment here.

Well, that fixes the recidivism rate

I had a friend who worked in the Saudi oil fields. He and a coworker took a walk down the streets one afternoon and saw a crowd gathering at the intersection. The coworker made them zip down a side street immediately. He told my friend that they were fixing to behead someone and everyone who was on the street at the time were required to watch the execution. Anyone who tried to sneak away or who turned their heads using the execution were in deep, deep trouble.

Definitely sounds like the Democrat Party´s plans for "non-believer deplorables" if they ever regain power.

Maybe we could ship our democrats there? Just being themselves they would be on the executioners block in no time.

Hey, I have no problem with it at all. Just about all their condemned people are Muslims- if not all of them. Muslims killing Muslims- Isn´t that what Muslims do best?

Seeing that monsters in human shape survive decades at tax payer cost on Death Row, doesn´t seem like a bad idea.

I sat on a jury that put a man on death row for gang raping, torturing then murdering a woman old enough to be his grandmother.
Gov Newsome just took him and his whole gang off of death row!

I had a friend who worked for Lockheed Aircraft. Years ago, he was in Saudi Arabia for the company when he and a co-worker were herded by police on the street to a public beheading. He told me it was mandatory for everyone in the vicinity to be witnesses. He would never forget the sight.

This will certainly keep the recidivism rate low.
Hard to get upset about capital punishment, in and of itself, but I suspect that their rules of justice are probably a bit less reasonable than ours, or more likely, a lot less reasonable.
This is a religion/law system which thinks that the appropriate thing to do with homosexuals is to toss them off a 10 story building. And stoning adulterers to death is apparently a national sport in some of these hellholes. So, I don´t expect much legal rigor in their convictions. Probably judges that have a lot in commong with The Red Queen.

The Saudis should force their enemies to live under socialist policies, and let them starve to death. The left is ok with this, never having raised a voice about Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, Soviet Union, or Maoist China. The left is fine with it, as long as things are kept low profile.

A couple here have mentioned Saudis’ requiring people in the vicinity witness these beheadings. I’m curious what the point of that is, if anyone knows.
